Out your guide was "handsome Alex" and he was great! He was very knowledgeable and funny. He was also a teacher and you could tell for sure. He had great energy and we basically got a private tour because it was only the people in my group on the train, that's it! Our tour guide had such a positive attitude and really kept us engaged. We were able to take our 2 dogs, and they had an area to store the stroller but did offer that we could take it with us if we wanted. We did the St Augustine Night of Lights Trolley Tour on Jan 4th. It was our 11th year the event and mayvbe 4th time in the red trolley I think it was the most fun we have ever thanks to our guide Handsome Alex! My 15 year old was not wanting to go because she was over Christmas musi and just being a teenage! Alex played the best mix of music and none of it was Christmas! She danced the entire trip starting with Clap along if you feel Happy, ending with Journeys Believe! Everyone along the street had a smile and was singing along as we drove by! Top trip and I'm already looking forward to next year! Reccommend buying tickets in advance to get times you want. *** only thing that I didn't like was the glasses for lights, you had to hold them instead of wearing like glasses. Had a great time yesterday taking the red train tour with an out-of-town guest. Our guide was Cheyenne. She has the best Dad jokes, smooth speaking voice and flow, with gentle friendly redirection when guests were not following the rules. Really enjoyed her tour, learned new things. I've done this tour more times than I can count since 2009 and it never fails to be a great time. Sidenote, the ladies that sell the tickets inside of Ripley's, are friendly and a joy to interact with. read more

Benji and Tiny Tim were the greatest hosts and driver!!! There are so many perks to the red train! They do a one hour non~stop tour of very cool information around St. Augustine. Very Kind and caring. My friend has hip and knee problems, they helped her up in the train, they provide a step stool if necessary, Tiny Tim drives very considerably to the guests aboard the train as well as the pedestrian traffic and motor vehicles. I was worried about bumping around due to my handicapped friend. The weather was overcast and he provided us plastic rain overthrows. Benji was in the office with Tiny Tim we arrived at the wrong location, lol, they both could not have been kinder in talking with us and directing us to Ripleys to catch the train. We were running late from a previous appt. They were so kind to honor our reservation at Four pm instead of telling us No. That is sincerely the upmost hospitality and just plain kindness. This was pretty good. Went with a school group and I was entertained and enjoyed the approximately 1-hour tour. I will say the kids weren't all that engaged and the guide didn't exactly try to bring in the exciting stuff for kids like some places do. Not everyone can do that though, not every guide, so hard to really fault them for that too much. I'd say it was a 4.5/5 star trip for the adults and maybe 3 stars for 10 year olds. If you don't have kids in your group, there's zero reason to worry. read more

My husband and I love history-the good, bad, and in between. We thought this would be a great way to learn about the history of St. Augustine. Buying tickets was easy and the tour started promptly. Our tour took us to some great places with a lot of historic value. I learned a lot today. I saw quite a few places that I want to go back and see up close. I just may do that tomorrow. Anyhow, the tour was about one hour long and it was nice to be on the train instead of a walking tour. It's the end of July so it's as hot as the devil's pinky toenail outside. read more

I researched the two different tram tours that take you around Saint Augustine to see the Christmas lights. I picked Ripleys because , believe it, or not , the parking was included in the fee. It's a flat fee so for two people it's a little pricey, but with my 93 year old mother, it seems like a wise choice However, after we were seated and on our way, the driver starts playing Christmas songs on his phone over the loudspeaker on the tram. Playing disc jockey and trying to drive in St Augustine Traffic was not a great idea. It got even more disappointing. The whole tour consisted of circling one block in downtown Saint Augustine where there is a lot of lights. It was sad. Even my mother was disappointed. We were under the impression we would be seeing lights all over the city and instead we circle one block three times and then head back, it would be cheaper to rent an Uber and sit on a park bench and look at the lights. read more

We had a great time on the train as a family. The tour takes just about an hour. Our driver was very knowledgeable and had some funny jokes. When the train is moving the breeze kept us cool, but it's definitely hot when the train is sitting still. I would bring water with you. read more

We were in no way planning on doing this. We had already walked around and saw things. The Ripley's lady persuaded us to take this tour as a combo package at the museum. This is a 60 minute tour around the city. My family of four (with 8 &11) sons. We got Ed as our tour guide and he was Fabulous! He kept our attention the entire time with his humor, facts, and story telling skills. You can feel his pride of the city. We learned and saw things that we had missed. We learned some great history. Ed made the hour fly by! Both sons asked to give him and tip and tell him how much they enjoyed it. The rest of the afternoon, they were quoting Ed for various things. Thank you Ed. Our one-hour tour was fun. Our tour guide/driver, Irish was amusing, entertaining and informative. We'll worth $24.

We reserved a trolley ride online. We walked over to this location; there's a booth where you pick up your stickers and tickets. If you're in St. Augustine, this is a must. We pretty much rode this trolley everywhere and went sightseeing for 80-90 minutes. There are 20 stops throughout the city and they stop at each stop every 20 minutes. They are open from 8:30 to 5. It's $24.93 for the 1 day adult ticket. The tour guides were super informative and friendly; they speak through the intercom so it's loud and clear. Once the trolley moves, there is a nice breeze because it's an open aired trolley. We went in August so it was super hot and humid out. A few of my favorite places that they stopped at were: -Ripley's Believe it or not museum -St. George Street -Flagler college -Flagler Memorial Presbyterian -San Sebastian winery -Whetstones Chocolates -St. Augustine Distillery -Castillo de San Marcos -Fountain of Youth I think this is fun for adults and kids. I will definitely ride on this again when I go back! read more
