We were on the 9:15 pm Nights of Lights evening cruise on 12/23/24 and what a blast that was! It was really cold outside and we dressed for it! Our tour guide was Mckenzie, who was so much fun and full of interesting information about St Augustine. The rest of the crew were also wonderful! The boat was full but not overcrowded, which was nice. It was cold but we managed by singing to the music and laughing with McKenzie. We saw the entire coastline of St Augustine lit up with all of the Nights of Lights. It was gorgeous! We highly recommend this tour. For those with disabilities or back/knee/foot problems, they have made it easier to enter and exit the boat with a ramp and a low 2 step up. This was the only boat I was able to find that offered this assistance. But be sure to call first to discuss your particular situation. Parking is close and there is a paved pathway to get to and from. We would definitely take this boat tour again. read more

We have done the nights of lights tours and today did the brunch and bottlenose tour. Super cute each got our own charcuterie box and then there was a buffet of snacks on the boat also. Had seafood so i couldn't partake but looked yummy. Endless mimosas and the watermelon one was super legit. So tasty. The cruise went all the way down the intercostal lots of dolphin sightings too. Beautiful way to view the St Augustine night of lights! It was a little distance from the dock to the downtown waterfront, but it was such a pleasant trip! Free hot chocolate or upgrade to a shot of Bailey's for a nominal fee. Once we got to the Bridge of the Lions, they went back & forth to the fort and back several times for us to enjoy the lights. Enjoyed Florida Water Tours Night of Lights tour of the Saint Augustine holiday lights. Our host & captain were great, unfortunately my memory is not so great and so I forgot to write down their names lol We went on a Monday after having dinner King's Fish Grill, which is right off the dock a few steps. For our tour the price included hot chocolate, and there was a bar for additional purchases. The whole tour is about 75 minutes. Definitely bring a jacket or a blanket as the temperature can get cooler on the water, especially at night time. read more

My mom, husband and I went to St. Augustine to experience their Night of Lights since it's apparently one of the most popular display of holiday lights in the country. My husband found a Groupon for Florida Water Tours' Night of Lights cruise, so we were all set. Every single staff member - from the booking agent on the phone to the gift shop manager to the boat crew - was fantastic with their customer service and knowledge of the area and the Night of Lights. 2020 was the 27th year of St. Augustine's Night of Lights and it stemmed from an idea the mayor had 28 years ago to increase tourism in the winter months. All lights must be white and this is a nod to the city's Spanish heritage and the putting of white candles in the windows. The boat has a bar on board with some snacks and the (non-alcoholic) hot chocolate is complimentary. You are also welcomed to bring your own non-alcoholic beverages and food on board. Upbeat music plays in between commentary and educational facts from the host and we were extra lucky on our boat tour: not only did we get to watch the sunset, but we also saw a handful of dolphins AND an amazing full moon! All of this was in addition to the beautiful scenery and lights that St. Augustine has to offer during this time of year. Simply spectacular and we would definitely, definitely do any of their water tours again! read more

The BEST thing we did while in St. Augustine!! AJ was our guide for a 5pm dolphin tour. I didn't expect to see a lot of action, but we saw 20+ dolphins! The boat itself was very clean with a bathroom onboard. Chips and beer, water, Gatorade, wine, and sodas were available for purchase at a very reasonable rate. The crew were four friendly guys in their twenties or so & all smiles. AJ did an awesome job educating passengers on the animals and sites we were seeing. He would speak for a few minutes, give everyone time to enjoy themselves and the scenery/animals, then speak a bit more. I'm a teacher and found AJ to be very entertaining as an educator. He did a great job providing facts without being boring or monotone. He also talked about conservation and how to protect/save wildlife around us. The entire experience was fun, engaging, and worth every cent (which was very affordable for a fun evening out). Definitely take your family or friends out on this tour. And tip them. I didn't see many people leaving tips & these guys work for them. read more

The weather was just perfect which helped if we would have went during the day I would have been miserable. I would recommend them to anyone !! The staff was nice ... the presentation was funny and informative and the sound system was clear so you could actually hear and understand him. (A big plus as my hearing is not 100%!) The view was so pretty. They took the time to do a pass in both directions so both sides had the photo op! They do daytime and night time tours ... adult only in the evening ... beer / wine "bar" on board ... really comfy seating. Rest assured we WILL be doing another tour!! My husband got us a Groupon for their wine-tasting boat ride. We feel like we got more than our money's worth! Kevin, Skip and the bartender (sorry I can't remember her name) were fantastic. So much personality, very knowledgeable about the area, and we felt safe in their boat skills as well. The bar opens as soon as you board, which is nice. I think it was 7 wines and 6 beers on the menu for purchase. Part of the ticket price was 6 of the wine tastings, and the variety of wine they chose had something for everyone. I found this boat tour through Groupon, where I was able to purchase two people for around $28. We have done boat tours before, but never near Jacksonville. This ended up being such a fun tour! They took us out for about two hours, showing us the inlets and downtown front of St. Augustine. Near Porpoise Point, we were able to see dolphins jumping around! They told us a little bit about the history of St. Augustine, places to eat and drink at, and little known facts. The tour guides were awesome and super chill. They have beer, wine, spiked water, water, and sodas on board for sale, as well as snacks. The boat was full during our tour, and everyone seemed to have a good time.
