Absolutely the most fun we've had in St. Augustine. We've been coming to St. Augustine every summer for 6 years and find very few excursion options. When I found these I was excited but wasn't expecting what we got. These 2 seater catamarans exceeded our expectations. Our guide and captain JT was awesome. He provided us with waters, sunblock and sunglasses for our tour. We saw dolphin, rode past landmarks, and had open water free fun with the catamaran for over 2 hours.I would definitely recommend this excursion. We had 11 people in our group including 3 kids under 12 and not one of us were disappointed. this is our second time using blue water adventure and all i can say is an amazing experience from beginning to end. We were supposed to go out at a 9 am and the boat had issues, so Jeremy moved us to a different slot the same day (which we were all ok with) and was accommodating in every single way. while we were out yesterday we decided last minute that we wanted to extend our time so we could watch the fireworks from the water. We called and Jeremy was amazing and accommodated us last minute.. Our captain for the fireworks tour JT was great and informative. If you are looking to go out for the day and rent a boat i 10000000000% recommend using this company. we will be using them again in the near future that is for sure. read more

Excellent way to tour Saint Augustine from the water.  Our guide, JT, was knowledgeable and personable, and ensured everyone stayed safe on the water. He made the tour fun for the entire group, which included people of varying ages and abilities. Due to JT's expertise, we were able to see multiple pods of dolphins surfacing just a few feet from our boat, and he even documented our trip in photos and provided them to us!  Highly recommend Bluewater Adventure if your plans include a trip to Saint Augustine. read more

Booking via email was easy and BWA were communicative and helpful. We arrived to find free parking right beside the dock, along with a toilet block (I strongly advise you pee before you head out on a 3 hr adventure!) so you can change afterwards, because you are going to get WET! If you aren't wet you haven't had enough fun! JT gave us a huge friendly welcome and he was happy and approachable the entire time and encouraged us to get crazy on the Cats....as if we needed encouragement...lol! Luckily there were only 2 couples that day, so after a quick intro lesson on how to drive the Cats we convoyed out behind JT like ducklings. We immediately spotted pink birds on the banks (spoon or hornbills?) and we puttered over to see them close up. It is a no wake slow zone initially so you have time to get used to driving the cat and settle in before you go into the river and get crazy. Maneuvering the cat is very simple so don't worry, even a child can drive one. Once we were in the river we convoyed down at greater speed, while JT pointed out the flora and fauna, and historical buildings, stopping to give us more details about certain things. We also spotted a type of hammer head shark so we followed it along the bank as it hunted, and JT filled us in on what it was doing, hunting tactics, what it ate, etc. We pulled up onto an island at one point and JT got his fishing net out to catch small fish to show us, and we found a variety of inhabited sea shells, along with more pink spoonbills. We also stopped at the fort while JT filled us in on the history of the area and how the fort was built. St Augustine has a very diverse history which is fascinating. Plus quite a few bridges which you will go under in your Cat. Then it was fun time! We found a spot in the river that was wide and quiet and JT gave us a zone where we could play safely, while keeping an eye out for other boats. When you are sitting close to the water with a huge outboard engine behind your seat and you are skimming along at 35mph it is quite an exhilarating experience!! When you throw donuts into the mix it gets even better! JT encouraged us to whizz by him at speed while he took photos, gave us tips on how to do a tighter donut, and generally directed us in our mayhem and merriment. Both hubby and I took turns in trying to outdo each others antics, we couldn't stop laughing, and it was such a fantastic experience. You will definitely blast away any stress while you are driving a Cat! Obviously we hammed it up for the camera so we had funny holiday photos, which JT kindly sent via email/dropbox before we even got back from our vacation. It is expensive compared to some other mainstream activities in the area, but for 3 hours of extreme adventure and happiness it is definitely worth every cent. This is something that is soooo different, even if you are used to boats, as you are so close to the water. We were in St Augustine visiting from Colorado and we all decided to book a tour with these guys and may I say it was the BEST experience ever. My family and I had so much fun driving the catamaran and touring St Augustine. JT was our tour guide and he made sure we were safe but he also let us have fun driving around the intercoastal. My husband and I planned a date-day and did the tour on the 2-seat catamaran. We had the best time!! Captain Jason was awesome. He was very personable, gave clear and thorough instructions, and he was very knowledgeable about the sights around town. This was definitely a must do! My family and I went seeking for a relaxing ride on the water, but it was so much more! The boats go very fast and it was enjoyable for everyone in the family. We went sightseeing, saw the fort, lighthouse and so much more! We even got up close and personal with dolphins multiple times! Amazing experience! Saint Augustine is absolutely beautiful and we have visited several times. This visit we decided to do a water tour.
