Hubs surprised me with a helicopter ride over St. Augustine for our 16th anniversary. Easy to find and the ladies working here are so sweet! Immediately greeted, we had a morning flight and they were not busy at all. My hubs didn't know how I'd like it so we only took the beach flight which was $50/person and lasted about 5 minutes in the air. You check in and then when they are ready for the flight, they drive you over to the flight pad area. They offer to take your picture in front of the helicopter which of course I opted YES! They then go over safety information while the pilot checks the helicopter for fluids and such. We put on our life vests and got in! Pilot was very friendly and explained stuff the entire time. My daughter was happy since she got to sit in the front. We felt very safe while flying and will definitely be back!! Highly recommend if you're thinking about doing this. But I'd pay to be in flight longer next time. Definitely want to take the tour of the entire St. Augustine area. read more

I took my girlfriend on the sunset helicopter tour, 14Oct23, neither one of us has ever done one before. It was definitely the best experience ever. Both of the employees there were very friendly and extremely nice. Of course getting a beautiful sunset is a gamble because you never know how the weather will be, but I would have to say it was one of the best sunsets I've seen. The duration of the flight was a perfect amount of time. Flies over the ocean, the St Augustine pier, around the lighthouse, intercostal and by the fort. On our trip we were lucky enough to see dolphins also. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone! It's a blast!!! I would go again too. read more

On Sunday 2/12/23 my husband and I took an awesome tour with Nicole. It was a windy day but the ride wasn't bad at all. My tummy did one flip but I was ok. Take off and landing was smooth. The tour was perfect and included the historic district including Flager College, The St. Augustine Amphitheater, Fort Mantanzas, The St. Augustine's Ligthouse and the fountain of Youth. Seeing the beach from above was truly magnificent! And we noticed all the little nooks and crannies to kayak in the intercoastal. I would definitely take this tour again. Granted, I've never been in a helicopter, but this was INSANELY AMAZING. We chose the cheapest one and therefore the shortest because I didn't know what to expect, and it was only $49/ person, which considering the care they take to tour you around and how friendly our pilot was, was really reasonable. I don't remember our pilot's name, but she was the bomb. She even photobombed the picture my boyfriend was taking of me. I asked for a helicopter tour of Saint Augustine for my birthday gift and my husband signed us up for the 25 minute tour down to Fort Matanzas and back. It was awesome! I love a birds-eye view and it was fun to see from the air, the places I have been to on the ground. Our pilot told us it might be a little bumpy due to the winds but it was not bad at all. Cody did a great job keeping the chopper under control. If I had one complaint it would be that sometimes he spoke very quickly and on that system we used, it was difficult to understand what he was saying. I was only in a helicopter for a ride once several years ago. My wife and I arrived in Saint Augustine and decided to do something different. We called First City Helicopter and requested a reservation. Although they accept walk-ins, you should call first. The pilot was very warm and friendly. The pilot also drove us from the office into the airfield to get to the helicopter. The preflight instructions were simple yet important. Don't touch the pilot while flying, that makes sense. Once we got clearance to take off we were on our way. The weather was calm so our flight was smooth. As we were flying the pilot conversed with us as well as air traffic control. It seemed like we were floating along slowly but I asked what our airspeed was, 90 knots! Soon enough we landed safely. Definitely worth while. The professionalism of the pilot to fly us should be respected, and we do. read more

The tour guide was nice and a safe helicopter driver but the advertised tour of 30-45 min was actually less than 15 minutes . I was very disappointed with how short the tour that I paid almost 200$ for was. The guide also repeated the same "facts" about the landmarks we would pass multiple times. We came in on a Groupon and had a really easy time redeeming it (we did the $90 per person Porpoise Point & City tour). It was pretty cool to see all the major landmarks of St Augustine from above! Great rides, you will probably see a lot of ads for 39.99. That is only a 2-5 min ride to a near by castle ( not castillo de San Marcos). We ended up taking a ride over downtown St. Augustine which ran us about 90 pp but totally worth it. Lots of great views and the pilots are very nice and friendly read more

We did the Groupon deal and took our 4-year-old with us. He had so much fun. We did the quick 15-minute ride and it was fun to fly around the coastal area and back. I was concerned that the helicopter would be bumpy and dip or drop as we were in the air but it was surprisingly smoother than expected. The pilot was really nice! This helicopter only holds 3 people(minus the pilot), and it's really tiny as expected. When you arrive to take your flight you go to the main building and they will drive you over to the mini helicopter on a golf cart. He does a walk around inspection and goes over safety and ensures you are aware of all details as you would expect when you fly on any plane. There's no A/C on the plane so the pilot has no door where he sits (yes you have doors in the back and the front passenger) in the front so its high blowing air coming in to keep you cool. It wasn't bad in the air so you will be fine in the Florida heat. ladies I would suggest you put your hair up because my hair was blowing all over the place. I didn't have a hair tie. read more

Check in was a breeze we were in checked in and in a helicopter in less than 10 min. The pilot was very thorough in his security checks which made both us feel comfortable. Take off, landing and the entire flight were very smooth and our pilot had a great personality and sense of humor! The city of Saint Augustine is so beautiful and this is such a unique way to see it.
