Very nice store in St. Augustine which offers some really nice infused olive oils and vinegars. Best part is you can sample all the oils and vinegars before making a purchase. The staff is very helpful and will walk you through any questions you might have and even make recommendations. The store itself is very clean and organized. The signs on the tins of olive oils and vinegars have a pretty good description and even recommendations of how they can be used. This time I tried the fig balsamic and it was absolutely amazing. Took a bottle home for myself! Pairs great with caprese salads. Very good option for gifting to a foodie friend. read more

Visited this shop and it was our first stop while visiting St. Augustine today. Sampled and tasted several infused high quality imported oils, plus balsamic vinegars. Even tried their most popular: Sunshine & St. Augustine Rose which were both a white balsamic vinegar that were unique and fantastic. They have a nice variety of merchandise. Such things as: pastas & sauce, stuffed olives, bbq sauces, jams, spread & other novelty goods & specialty pantry items. (see pics & video) Staff was helpful in finding items to bring home with me & that could go in my carry on luggage (also offer shipping). We bought several things for ourselves and several things as gifts for others. We also learned they do special pairings and post recipes on occasion if you follow them on Instagram too! The owners are extremely passionate and knowledgeable about their business. As well as choosing the best quality products for their customers. They have 4 locations in Florida currently. That is un-brine-lievable! Note-This shop offers in-store refills for customers who bring back their bottles which allows for a sustainable solution for returning customers. Lovely store that specializes in infused olive oils. I came in specifically for their weighted oil pour spout. It was during nights of lights, so the store was packed and parking was super hard to find. You basically had to be a local and just KNOW where you can park...blocks away. With that being said, I got what I came for and left. But after Nights of Lights is over, I look forward to returning and sampling their various wares. read more

During our recent trip to Saint Augustine, on April 20th, 2024 we stumbled upon the most incredible shop that specializes in olive oil. This was an amazing adventure something that you would see on a travel channel video, an Emporium with so many varieties of olive oil and olive oil accessories. My experience was tremendously educational in this quaint little historic district boutique and Walter provided wonderful service, taking us by the hand and pallet on a culinary adventure. This place is a chef's playground one could hem themselves and oils that until now we're so distant and elusive. We also found wonderful gift items and will highly recommend the ancient olive to all of our friends and colleagues Too. We now have a great Apree ation of olive oil. I have visited St Augustine a few times and have overlooked this store. Thankfully on my last visit we discovered this little gem. We bought 6 small bottles of various vinegars and oils. The staff was very helpful and made suggestions on specific pairings. Who knew there was such a variety of vinegars and oils? This girl didn't!!! Well the other night I was able to use my Japanese Sesame seed oil on my ahi tuna dinner. Looking forward to going back and adding to my collection. When your in St Augustine don't miss out on this little place. I also bought a gorgeous large cutting board and the oil to treat it with. I can't wait to go back for the olive tamponade. On our last day in St. Augustine, my Mom requested before we left to stop at The Ancient Olive to pick up a couple of condiments she had bought on her last trip to Florida's oldest city. In addition to the items, My Mom had asked us to purchase, I found some lovely gems that I wanted to bring back to our house. I was in awe of all the selections of various olive oils and balsamic vinegar, as well as other condiments, pasta, jams, sauces, seasonings, and more. My fiance also liked all the various olives they had available. Some of the items we picked included a bacon salt, an apple horseradish jam, and a hot pepper bacon jam. All of which were gluten free and magical, which we used sparingly as to not run out too quickly. Well recommended if you are walking and sight-seeing in the downtown St. Augustine area. It's located on the street level of the Casa Monica Resort, just around the block from the Lightner Museum and Flagler College. read more

This place is a cooks dream. Any flavor of olive oil you can think of I swear they have. I love that you are able to sample them all but beware it will then be hard to choose. The owners are very friendly and helpful and will answer any questions you have. I love ranch dressing but as you know the calories are crazy and Im trying to eat better so the owner showed me a mix that taste just like it with out the creaminess but it does taste is the same. The place to sample and taste a library of designer and flavored olive oils and vinegar in North Florida. We stumbled into this place accidentally. I never explored a place like this and wanted to see it with my friends. My friend Sergei sampled almost every vinegar he could. He bought a savory herbal balsamic vinegar called Herbs Di Nepoli. My favorite balsamic vinegars were the black truffle and herbs di nepoli - the savory ones. The staff was nice and graciously let us sample as much as possible and gave us good recommendations. Don't let my lack of check ins fool you, I am a regular of this tasting room. I am obsessed with their gourmet olives and infused olive oils. You can taste about 90% of the store products which is a nice option. They price point may seem out of the traditional range but its because of the quality. Being able to taste the product just shows you the value of what you are getting. The infused olive oils take out the need to season the item you are cooking with. I love using the garlic or tuscan for chicken or veggies. And mix either of those with the grilled lemon balsamic... omg makes an amazing vinaigrette. My favorite here are the olives though. The "Abuela" and the blue cheese stuffed. They can't seem to keep these on the shelf for a good reason; because the are mouth wateringly delicious!! I also love the garlic stuffed, almond stuffed and chilie stuffed. You can sample all of them to know how great they are before you buy them too. They have the sweetest and most knowledgeable staff. They are conveniently located right in the downtown of St Augustine. No parking lot to park, but you can park on the street. Upon walking in, we noticed several dispensers of olive and balsamic oils to try. Walter took the time to speak with us in the variety of olive oils they had and how they are imported from Italy. They receive the oil in bulk and pour each bottle in house. We tried the Peranzana olive oil and the traditional balsamic oils. Both had excellent authentic flavors, nothing like most store bought oils. The Peranzana has a strong olive taste that's herbal and earthy. The traditional balsamic is a comparative of "aged" balsamic. Give it a try if that's your style. We enjoyed them so much that we purchased both bottles to take home and enjoy. We also tried a few of the balsamics, such as the chocolate, which has a perfect balance of balsamic and chocolate. Oh, and they have plenty of other gifts from Italy you might be interested in, like cookies, chocolates, spice rubs, pasta and pasta kits, cooking books, and so much more. Exploring downtown when I came across this gourmet store. All kinds of oils and vinegars line the wall. You can sample everything they sell here. I was greeted with a friendly welcome. After a few minutes of looking around I was approached and asked if I needed any help finding something. I started to tell him I was interested in buying some balsamic vinegar that I could use in a spinach salad I was thinking of making. He brought me over and gave me a sample of the most delicious balsamic vinegar I have ever tasted. It was so smooth and flavorful. I decided I needed the big bottle. Then he started telling me about a dinner party he went to where they served this amazing dressing in a spinach salad. He went to the mini fridge and scooped me up a sample of some BACON JAM! Omg it was amazing. Sold! It didn't take much convincing after that. Loved this place so welcoming and the products they sell speak for themselves. Top notch. The name is fitting. Their single varietal oils are old and should not be on the shelf. Was in store yesterday and saw some crush dates of May 2021, which are way over a year old. Amazing store for anyone who likes to cook! I stopped into The Ancient Olive while walking on King Street. The selection is incredible! I walked in planning to buy a bottle of balsamic vinegar. There were so many interesting flavors it was hard to choose. They have cups next to every flavor allowing visitors to sample before buying. I would HIGHLY recommend bringing a bottle of water, it was hard to distinguish flavors after my third sample. If you are looking for a cheap bottle of oil or vinegar, this is not your store. I've been to places like this before so we knew what we were in for. It's nice that they have some lesser known oils like white and black truffle. I like that they also have other things in the store to look at/purchase but being in a tourist spot I wouldn't expect any less. The ladies were friendly once we were acknowledged.
