How can you not visit St Augustine and leave without anything datil pepper??? This place is a must-stop for not only a variety of datil pepper selections but an incredible selection of hot sauces, condiments, salsas & more! Lots of samples to try before making your decisions. The guys here are super pleasant & helpful! Highly recommend stopping by if you are a pepper lover!

Yes, we did buy ALL of them!

What better place to visit a Pepper Palace than historic downtown St Augustine? Certainly not back home at the MOA! Lots of choices & you can try them all-IF you dare! I thought I was pretty good with spices until I tried the Nasal Napalm (it's a lethal horseradish). They have deals-just ask (like buy 3 and get one free). If the weather is cold here in north Florida-just add some spiciness to your food and warm up! Worth a stop, even if you're looking for a not-too-spicy sauce!

Gotta love Pepper Palace especially when they have deals. Buy three get one free, which I did. I especially love how you can try every hot sauce. I was in this store for over 30 minutes. The sales associate was friendly and reminded me of their deal so I can get my fourth sauce for free. It's spacious and shared space with an ice cream shop and candy store located right behind the sauces. Two thumbs up.

I have been meaning to visit here since we started coming to St. Augustine and we finally made it a point to go. I always grab the coupon books when we are in town because we go to some of the places and I always fold over the page for pepper palace. The coupon gets you a free bottle of hot sauce with purchase of $10+. We walked in on a Monday and it was really busy. When we were able to get to the sample bottles, it was overwhelming. There were so many bottles of sauce, I thought there were duplicates. Nope! I decided to start from the right side and work my way around the bar. They provide you with tortilla chips located in 2 different jars on the counters. I did not count how many I tried but there were a lot. I was daring and tried hot sauces that were rated 7 on the scales. Yup, that was hot lol. I finally made my way towards the end of the bar and went back to the 5 or 6 choices I had. I did not want to buy a lot because we literally have like 15 different hot sauces at home. I narrowed them down to three and made my way to the register. I inquired about the Napalm horseradish because I love horseradish (I ate it out of the jar as a kid). The girl did not provide information or offer a sample. I submitted my coupon and received my free bottle. The total was about $20. Not too bad but really expensive you compare to supermarket prices. I will probably go back if my sauces work well with food.

A fun place for spicy food lovers on the touristy historic district of St. Augustine. A large selection of hot sauces line the shelves of this establishment, ranging in range from relatively mild to hellish levels of delight. There are also various brands to sample. The staff is friendly and encourage you to try various sauces and with heat levels listed, you kind of know what you are getting into before biting into it. Fir a review within a review, let me add that I am a huge fan of the Ring of Fire xx hot sauce. It has a great flavor and a bit of punch. I make sure this is something always in my fridge and a backup in the pantry.

Hot sauce heaven! For parking here there's a private paid lot and there is no hustle there. this store is located at a nice touristy location with a lot of bars and restaurants, lots of people walking and all. The store is super fun! You come in and they have complementary tortilla chips so you can start the lip burning process! There are so many choices for any and all tastes, we spent a long time trying all we could until we made our choices, I will tel you that I got out of there not feeling my lips. This was a fun place with friendly staff and I can assure you that you will not walk out of here with only one bottle. They have plenty of deals on the sauces. take them all! loved it.

This place is soo cool! They have so many different types of hot sauces you can try from super hot to mild. They have a spoon dispenser off the wall so you can walk around and just squeeze the hot sauce onto your spoon. I ended up buying three different hot sauces! I normally only like Crystal hot sauce but I'm glad I expanded my horizons because they have everything sauce from savory to sweet hot sauces that can pair with soo many things.

Diane hooked me up with 4 great sauces. She's the best. The Rum sauce and the Death Stalker are the highlight.

One of our favorite things to do in every new city is seek out the local favorites and discover our own go to restaurants. This time, we decided to give St. Augustine Fish Camp a try. Right away, we were impressed. Our server was knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive throughout the meal. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, and the waterfront views made for a great dining experience. We ordered the clam chowder, Spicy Seafood Linguini, and Shrimp & Grits. Unfortunately, I'd love to be able to rave about the food, but shortly after we finished eating, I became sick and dealt with an upset stomach for the rest of the night. My fiancé also didn't feel well afterward, although her symptoms were much milder. This was the first and only meal we'd eaten since earlier that afternoon, so we suspect it may have been related to something we ate, though we can't say that with absolute certainty. That said, one bad experience doesn't define a restaurant. The service and atmosphere were both excellent, and it's clear from the many positive reviews that plenty of people have had great meals here. We'll give St. Augustine Fish Camp another chance before we leave town, but next time we'll probably order different menu items. Thanks for reading, we hope our experience is helpful!

The combination of imaginative cocktails, exceptional food, and a unique atmosphere makes every visit memorable. The cocktail program is outstanding. We enjoy trying a variety of their exotic and inventive drinks, and they never disappoint. The flavors are bold, creative, and unlike anything you'll find at a typical restaurant bar. The Yellow Submarine cocktail is quite possibly the best drink I have ever consumed. Made with curry-infused Bermuda black rum, lime, ginger, and Asian five-spice brown sugar syrup, it sounded unusual on paper but came together beautifully. I enjoyed it so much that I ordered four of them that evening, something I rarely do. That was three years ago, and despite returning several times since then, I have never seen it on the menu again. The food is equally impressive. Two years ago, I ordered the Skillet Roasted New York Strip served with Yukon Gold potato-anna, roasted asparagus and spring onions, watercress, and black truffle hollandaise. To this day, it remains one of the top five restaurant meals I have ever eaten. Every component on the plate was exceptional. The steak was perfectly prepared, the crispy potato galette was irresistible, and the black truffle hollandaise elevated the entire dish to another level. It was the kind of meal that stays with you long after the plate is cleared. I would gladly drive 300 miles just to eat it again. Most recently, I had the wild mushroom bisque, and it was the best soup I have ever consumed. Rich, creamy, buttery, intensely mushroomy, and perfectly balanced, it was everything a mushroom soup should be. The addition of crispy pickled onions and crème fraîche added texture and contrast that made an already outstanding soup even better. My wife and I enjoyed it so much that we returned the very next day hoping to order it again, only to discover it had already rotated off the menu. My only complaint about The Ice Plant is that some of their greatest creations seem to disappear as quickly as they arrive. While I appreciate the constantly evolving menu and understand that seasonal changes are part of what makes the restaurant special, there are certain items that deserve a permanent home. The Yellow Submarine cocktail, the wild mushroom bisque, and the Skillet Roasted New York Strip with black truffle hollandaise are three of the finest things I have experienced there. The fact that I can vividly remember one of these items from three years ago and another from two years ago says everything. Great restaurants serve good food. Truly special restaurants create dishes and drinks that stay with you for years. The Ice Plant has done that for me more than once, and that is why we continue to return whenever we visit St. Augustine.

Antique, rustic, comfortable, and full of enough character that you almost feel like you've stepped 200 years back in time. Then the drinks arrive, and suddenly you realize you've been transported into the future of cocktails. I wish I could remember the name of the drink I ordered because it was spectacular. Whiskey, a little sweetness, mint, and crushed ice. That's about all I can tell you. What I can tell you is that I could have happily consumed about 30 of them, tumbled down the stairs, and been perfectly happy about the whole experience. My wife went with the Mojito, and it was brilliantly constructed. The crushed ice and layered mint made it look almost too good to drink. Almost. The drinks absolutely deserve five stars. Then came the blue crab beignets, and they were spectacular. That's the kind of appetizer that makes you stop talking for a minute because everyone at the table is too busy enjoying what's happening. Unfortunately, the rest of the food didn't quite live up to the cocktails. The fish dip was very average and lacked much flavor, and the menu itself felt pretty limited. So here's the deal: if you're coming to The Ice Plant for drinks, I would have no problem giving it five stars. The cocktails are that good. This is a highly recommended stop for a drink in St. Augustine. But I have to review the entire experience, and the limited menu and average fish dip bring the overall experience down a notch. Four stars. Come for the drinks. Stay for the atmosphere. Definitely order the blue crab beignets. And if you happen to find yourself three cocktails deep, admiring the antique decor while contemplating the stairs, maybe just take your time.
