We've been wanting to try this place for a while as it's always so packed. Today was our lucky day as we were able to get seated immediately. We ordered meatball appetizers. That was the best part of our meal. It was delicious. We also ordered a white pizza and a pepperoni pizza. The pizza was very average, dough on the thicker side. I would have preferred a slice from Pizza Time. Service was good, plenty of staff working, place was clean including the restrooms. The booths are from old church seating, not very comfy so I'd sit at a 4 top with chairs. We are going to come back and try other items on the menu especially since the meatballs were so good. Walking around late on Valentine's Day my wife wanted a piece of Pizza . We have walked by this location but it was always full and had a line waiting. This time we found two seats at the bar and sat immediately. Fast service and delicious pizza . We split a 10" personal (3 piggy) and a Cesar salad . The house Chianti and Cabernet Sauvignon was very nice as well. When we left we wanted to see what was out the "back door" only to realize we have only seen it from the very small back door. The vegetables added were old and merely placed on top instead of cooked in, and lots of food such as the beef or vegetables tasted freezer burnt. We snuck in here on the first night of St Auggy's Night of Lights festivities. Absolutely swamped on St George street and we thought this gem looked quiet enough. They had a small seating area in front with a nice bar, and hidden tables out back. The pizza we ordered, the Triple Pig I think it was, was Phenomenal! If you've ever watched that one pizza critic show, this was a stunning pizza that guy would have applauded. Cooked all the way through, well balanced and not soggy in the middle. Perfect hand tossed thickness, fluff, dough pliability al dente, crunchy and soft and so damned good. We had a cranberry fizzy cocktail infused with rosemary that was tops (thanks Kayla! Great concoction). We also enjoyed the homemade Minestrone that had a unique palette schooling smoky spiciness that was just bottomless in its intrigue - not your average Olive Garden or Campbells minestrone. We got a Cesar side salad that was well portioned and fresh, all perfect romaine and dark green crunchy lettuces. I was in St. Augustine this afternoon for a tour and I decided to grab something to eat afterwards. One of the employees of this place was standing outside giving free tastes of the pizza here so I appreciated that and chose to order a pizza. When you first walk in there is a long bar arrangement with several hightops where you can eat. There is also a dining room on the other side of the bar. The menu has plenty of appetizers, salads, pastas, entrees and pizzas. I went with the small garbage can pizza. It came with pepperoni, sausage, onions, mushrooms, olives and peppers. The toppings were generous and the crust was crunchy. Service was pretty quick. read more

Pizzalley's has been a family favorite for years, one of those local spots we used to rave about and proudly call one of the best pizza places in Florida. It has been our go-to for countless meals and great memories, which makes this review especially disappointing to write. Lately, the quality just has not been the same. On my most recent visit, the pizza arrived cold, the service was surprisingly rude, and to top it off, there was a long hair in the food. We were also disappointed to learn they no longer offer slices to go. Now you have to order a whole pie if you want pizza, which takes away some of the convenience we used to love. It is frustrating to see a place I have loved for so long start to slip. I truly hope they can turn things around, because I would love to enjoy it again the way I used to. read more

Must try! We randomly parked our car in the lot located at this restaurant and decided to try it. 10/10 worth it! They had heaters outside which was a plus since it was a cold weekend. Customer service was great. The food was delicious! The salads were so yummy. Everyone absolutely loved the Alfredo pasta and the grilled chicken which was super fresh and delicious! We were walking around Old Town one day looking for a place to grab an app and drinks and a lady(hostess) was standing outside and starting talking to us about how great it was so we walked in and ordered some food and drinks. I'll say it's a little confusing because they have two parts and we walked in from the bar side. There is a back room as well and the pizza is different back there so says the bartender. She was nice and welcoming, but she didn't stop talking about how great her drinks were and tbh they weren't anything better than your local Outback. We ordered: - Potent Pickle 10" Pizza (Very good with amazing flavor combinations) - Whiskey Sour for me (It was not that good considering how much she hyped her drinks up) - Margarita for my gf(Nothing to write home about) - Intuition IPA(Very Tasty) All-in-all this is a great place. I loved the vibe of the bar area and the other part which we walked back and looked at and it was vibey too. The service was great, but if you're going to talk non-stop about how great of a bartender you are you better knock me off my barstool with your cocktails. I'll definitely come back. We had a great experience at Pizzalley's! We arrived 25 minutes before they were closing (sorry kitchen staff, we try not to do that). We were seated right away and service was fantastic (Thank you Zack!). We didn't feel rushed at all and the food was really good. I ordered a side Caesar salad to start and it was very good, the breadstick that came with was warm & soft, and had a great seasoning on it. My mom got a gluten free margarita pizza with black olives, she said the crust was great for being gluten free, it was thick enough and didn't fall apart. The mashed potatoes that came with it were creamy and delicious. We also had the chicken piccata which was fabulous. I usually get chicken piccata at Italian place and this one was cooked nicely with the right size portion of angel hair pasta. It was flavorful and wonderful. The waiter was really good, answered my questions about what was in the dishes (I ask a lot of things since I'm allergic to paprika, peppers and eggplant -- he was patient and knowledgeable. Tonight we were just strolling down St George Street where all the shops and restaurants are trying to decide where to stop for a casual dinner when walked past outdoor hostess stand here. The lady out front, Kelly was so friendly and down to Earth. She told us all about the menu and talk to me about my food allergy. We immediately felt comfortable dining here. She walked us in to seat us and then right away she notified our server of my allergy. We order the build you our own pizza and it was fantastic. AMAZING! My group spent an entire day at the beach so we were absolutely exhausted and hangry coming in here. However our waiter, Jeremy, went above and beyond in terms of service and tolerating our wacky requests and questions. Jeremy makes me believe in the good of humanity. Also the food was so bus. As of 01/03/2025: We go to Pizzalleys every year around the holidays, and sometimes during the year as well. This time it was highly DISAPPOINTING. 1) The minestrone was not cooked all the way and the veggies were crunchy as if they were just added to the broth. The broth itself was very watery as if they added water and tomato sauce from a can and warmed it up. The soup must have cooked for less than 30 minutes to be this bad and is certainly not the same as in years past. 2) they give no bread and oil anymore, only one breadstick with your $30-meal, which is ridiculous. 3) the so-called carbonara was a separated Alfredo that felt as if it came from a jar. It gave you the impression of eating butter and it was not saucy and binding as it should be. Calling it a carbonara is an insult, but even for a cream-based "carbonara" it was not good. The chicken that came with it was the best part of the dish. 4) the vodka penne was just okay and certainly not a $30-plate. 5) the pizza was okay, nothing artisan about it. So from a high quality (for a tourist area) Italian restaurant, they became a mediocre Olive Garden that is now at a $40 per person price point - more like $50 if you want a drink and dessert. Service was nice, fast, and welcoming but I will not be returning or recommending it again. read more
