    Margherita Pizza
    Hayley A.

We were in town and I wanted pizza so we stopped here, we were a little confused at first because it looks like they are sharing a building sort of with the gas station. But just go in and find the dining room and you're good. The staff was super kind and attentive. We got garlic knots to start and they were super good. My boyfriend loved the Mariana that comes with it. I also had a ceaser salad and I was slightly disappointed because there was roasted red peppers in it which it didn't say in the menu and I wasn't a big fan of them but the rest of the salad was good. My boyfriend got the Margherita Pizza and he liked it, he also got a meatball which he enjoyed as well. I got a pepperoni pizza with jalepenos and banana peppers and it was SO good. Definitely would come back here when we are in the area.

Very popular place in St Augustine. If you love pizza, burgers, etc. this is your place. The place has an outdoor patio Located next to a Marketplace and Gas Station, it a cool space to dine in. Staff are friendly as well.

Hot tasty pizza in 3 sizes with an assortment of toppings or pick one of their specialty pizzas. Nice salad too with iceberg lettuce. Service is friendly and casual. Only negative is this place is tiny with only 5 booths and 3 functioning tables. Two more tables sat empty because the girls said they didn't have any more chairs. There are some outdoor tables but when it's 30 degrees outside, inside is the only option. Small counter offers 4 seats. This is a pizzeria in a She'll gas station but totally worth the wait.

Carmelo's Deli side was the way to go tonight. Full service restaurant was full with a waiting time. What do you do? You go down the hallway and go to the deli. Their full menu is available both in the restaurant and at this counter service, so there's lots of choices. A few tables also allows you to eat there. The atmosphere is buzzing with lots of activity. It was fun watching the pizzas being made while we ate.

Not tons of ambiance but it gets the job done and the food makes up for it. I asked about prosecco and she said I could buy from attached gas station and drink in there. Gave me a glass and all. We ordered fried zucchini and garlic knots to start both delicious and plentiful. The mains were lasagna and a small white pizza really good flavor on both ricotta on pizza so good and everything came out super hot. Server gave good recommendations and we will def go back.

So happy I found this place. I'm from jersey. Live in California and really miss good pizza. This is the best slice I have had since the jersey shore. Almost didn't try it when Waze took us to a gas station. Located inside gas station one side is a restaurant in between is a takeout area with a few tables where we dined. Incredible antipasto as well and the meatballs were quite good. Really good Italian sub good portion but could use more authentic Italian bread Will be a regular during my stay in Florida.

Have wanted to try this place for years , just always see it on the way out after eating. Nice quaint clean place, with an extensive reasonably priced menu. Great service from a very positive happy young lady, even late at night after her probably long day. Stopped for only a couple of slices and was not at all disappointed with two New York slices of the Meateater and an ice tea. About $17 with tip. Plenty of meat, good mozzarella (not that cheap corporate stuff). Good mix of meat toppings and a good hand tossed crust with no droop and a very minimal about of oil drip(considering the amount of meat). Crust had a good char and crisp not at all soggy. Great job and will be back

Divine pizza no matter your choice. Meatballs are super tender and juicy. The Greek salad is delish due to the homemade dressing with feta cheese. I love that you get it by the slice if you want which results in a crispy crispy crust! This is a very busy place with limited parking but just be patient and you will get a spot.

Lunch at Carmelo's the gas tank repair is completed. So all parking is available. A bit slow at 3 pm it's before the dinner crowd. We ordered the small Carmelo's supreme- we will have some to take home. Friendly staff excellent food- be sure to visit when you are in town.

Parking can be tricky. Always a great food place. Pizza is crazy. Single slice options are great. Cold beer and great wait staff. Nothing can be better. Don't let its location fool you! !

Cool pizza place with excellent pizza with great service. Try the white pizza...you will not be disappointed.

No flavor white pizza! Very sad. No garlic flavor. Just a sad pizza.

I hope this review make the owners take a look at reviews, mushroom red peppers and onions. Very acidic and not the pop these 3 ingredients deserve. You only get a 1 for the crust. No real flavor except the acid in the back of my throat

Good option if you just need a quick bite. There's two separate seating areas: the counter-service side has a couple tables in the convenience-store side of gas station. The other section is a few steps down a short hallway and includes a bar, tables and booths with indoor and some outdoor seating too. We initially walked into this side but moved over to the convenience side after we realized we could grab a few slices right away and be on our way. Attached to a Shell gas station at the corner of King St and Malaga St. Parking can be hit or miss. .

My husband ordered some meat slices as well. When he arrived around 12:15 pm on a Thursday to make the order, the lady at the register stated they are out of garlic knots for the day and that they have to make grandma's pizza as there were no slices available for purchase. This was disappointing as we wanted something where we didn't have to wait for long. The wait time was about 20 minutes. My husband noticed couple of customers who entered the restaurant but then abruptly leave since they didn't want to wait for the pizza to be made. Now onto the pizza, overall I enjoyed the grandma's pizza. I thought it was flavorful and the tomato sauce on it was delicious. The cheese pizza was pretty good too. The slices are big and filling. Overall, if you happen to be in the Flagler college area, give this place a try.

It's not a super big pizza shop, but it has some good seating. Most of the time there is a line out the door. The window is a beautiful thing to look at, you see all the pizza making and all of the types of pizza flavors they have. The slices are pretty large each one is about $9-$10 a slice, and let me tell you its completely worth it. Our favorite is the Genova, which is a white pizza with chicken, ricotta, and herbs. Also the chicken parm is delicious and the garlic knots are to die for; they are hot, soft, and definitely have garlic. Drinks are separate. They have calzones, salads, potato balls and large pizza orders. Its a good place to have lunch or a quick slice. It is definitely filling but worth it, it requires a nap after back at the hotel lol.

So, with that said, it's safe to say we were naive. Typically, we understand that any tourist spot you go to, the prices will be higher than some other spots that are less touristy. However, he we were still expecting cheaper slices of pizza. I mean they're slices and I can buy whole delivery pizzas for the same price they're charging per slice here. Now granted, their prices are also very much within eyesight as soon as you walk in. So, it shouldn't have been such a surprise, but we just ordered what we wanted and thought it wouldn't be that bad. Then, we realized they didn't take credit or debit cards until we got to the register. It was CASH ONLY. 4 slices of pizza, 2 water bottles and a small cup of pepperocinis came out to $53. My husband and I put our cash together to pay for the tab. Yeah, it makes sense to some people for it to be that pricey, but we just didn't expect slices to be that much money. The pizza was good. It's wasn't super cheesy, but the marinara pizza sauce was tasty and not overly loaded on the pie. Honestly, I was hoping the cheese and sauce would've been more fused together in pure delicious harmony, but it was like they heated up old pizza slices in the oven that had been sitting out for a long time. To me, the pizza didn't taste like an authentic NY pizza, but it was still pretty good. The service was decent. You could tell it was the end of the shift for their employees, based on their tired faces and lack of smiling enthusiasm. I guess I had big hopes for this place and it just wasn't what we were expecting out of that whole experience.

The cooked penne was sitting on the counter uncovered, just vibing at room temperature like it had officially given up. The sauce? The Chicken Marsala arrived undefeated in battle against any form of tenderizing. This chicken was not pounded thin -- it clearly lifts weights. I needed a steak knife, determination, and possibly a waiver to cut through it. We shared one entrée and a bottle of wine that tasted like grapes filed a formal complaint, and somehow the bill still hit $65. I checked twice to make sure we hadn't accidentally invested in the business. And just when you think the experience is complete, surprise! There's a debit card fee. We called ahead from the airport and had our order ready in about 30-40 minutes, which was a relief. However, the girl on the phone couldn't give my mother an exact time on when it'd be ready. Really? Her response was "I don't know" to how long two cheese pizzas would take... whatever. We kept it simple and ordered two large cheese pizzas because we wanted to judge the place based on its core products. The crust was thin but held its structure, and still folded easily in your hand the way a good slice should. The one thing I noted (and basically how all overpriced pizza places are) was that there was no seasoning on the crust at all. We're big fans of Domino's garlic crust, so that was a little disappointing. The sauce had a nice flavor to it, but nothing particularly memorable. I'll be honest though. I can't say for certain how much of our enjoyment was the pizza itself versus the fact that we were starving at that point. You should've heard my mom's comments about "I feel like my stomach is eating itself" lol. My mom gave it 2/5 stars and my brother gave it 3/5, so somewhere in that range feels about right to me. It's also not cheap for what you get, so just keep that in mind going in. That said, if you're nearby and need a straightforward pizza fix, it'll do the job.
