We originally were gonna go over to Pizza Alley to try their pizza but they decided to close early so we ended up over here. The nice thing about this location is you can order a whole pizza or you can just order slices of pizza. That's nice because you can try different flavors if you want to or just get a slice depending upon how hungry you are. I got the Italian Burratta and a slice of the Hawaiian and my husband got the pepperoni. The crust is definitely thinner, but they reheat the pizza because they've been sitting out to get the nice crust on the bottom of it and make it crispy. They put my husband's pepperoni pizza in first and then they put mine in and I wish the Italian burratta would have cooked for a little bit longer because the cheese would've melted a little bit more when I cut into it. The Hawaiian pizza also ended up just being kind of lukewarm. The Italian burratta pizza I will say was incredibly fresh. I really enjoyed the flavors on this pizza. The Hawaiian was great. Their Canadian bacon is shaved super thin. The gentleman who is working behind the counter was super friendly and chatted with us as the pizza was being reheated and because it was so late in the night we had the entire place basically to our self. When we walked in, we saw signs saying that this was the 2nd best rated pizza in the US by trip advisor. Food looks good, and big portions are guaranteed. Went here during the Festival of Lights time and the line was out the door and onto the street! It's a small space and there is no set menu you kind of choose the slices as they're shown. We opted for 3 of their slices to share and I have to say the pizza is yummy! The white sauce chicken slice is my absolute favorite. The line went very quick and appeared managed well with only serious staff behind the counter working the six door ovens. My husband and I put our cash together to pay for the tab. Yeah, it makes sense to some people for it to be that pricey, but we just didn't expect slices to be that much money. The pizza was good. It's wasn't super cheesy, but the marinara pizza sauce was tasty and not overly loaded on the pie. Honestly, I was hoping the cheese and sauce would've been more fused together in pure delicious harmony, but it was like they heated up old pizza slices in the oven that had been sitting out for a long time. To me, the pizza didn't taste like an authentic NY pizza, but it was still pretty good. The service was decent. I want to start by saying if I was basing this purely off of the pizza it would be 4-4.5 stars not 3. That being said the food itself is not the only metric. The restaurant is cash only which is pretty inconvenient (for me atleast, I'm aware some carry cash) and it is very expensive. I got four slices of pizza total, two for me & two for my girlfriend as well as a water bottle. That came out to about $40. I know it is in a touristy area but every other restaurant was reasonably priced. Your only option is to buy the pizza by the slice which isn't necessarily advertised. I love pizza and I like different styles and different toppings so this place checks all the boxes and they offer a number of sides that are unique and fresh - being it's a pizzeria you don't have to commit to a whole pizza and you can pick and choose your slice or slices depending on your mood. What a great business and location although I don't consider this a pizza destination it is very convenient and although touristy it does provide great quality and great customer service - the prices are well a little extreme at $10 for a large a slice but considering the location it except-able and people are willing to line up to experience it. We stopped in to grab a slice after walking around town and having skipped breakfast before driving here from NSB for the day. I liked it, especially the crust and found all the ingredients top shelf served by a very friendly staff so after thinking about it, it's cheaper than my last McDonald's drive-through lol. This place is delicious! Worth the wait- my kids got the pepperoni pizza, my husband has the Brooklyn special while I got the caprese pizza. Nobody asked for more than one slice because it was so fulfilling and tasty. The guy who grabbed our order was very nice and so was the cashier. The prizes are outrageous; I paid $61 in total for four slices and four medium fountain drinks. It definitely reminds me of my childhood in the 90s- the restaurant is outdated and crowded but the pizza was good so I would definitely come back. Its one of my top pizzas around and one of my wife and i places to eat in St. Augustine. It's an only cash pizza place, make sure you have it if not, there is an atm right there. It's not a super big pizza shop, but it has some good seating. Most of the time there is a line out the door. The window is a beautiful thing to look at, you see all the pizza making and all of the types of pizza flavors they have. The slices are pretty large each one is about $9-$10 a slice, and let me tell you its completely worth it. Our favorite is the Genova, which is a white pizza with chicken, ricotta, and herbs. Also the chicken parm is delicious and the garlic knots are to die for; they are hot, soft, and definitely have garlic. Drinks are separate. They have calzones, salads, potato balls and large pizza orders. Its a good place to have lunch or a quick slice. Allegedly, this pizza place is ranked #2 in the U.S. by TripAdvisor and CNN, so naturally, we had high expectations. We called ahead for a 20-inch cheese pizza and were told it would be $35. We decided to add olives to half of it, unaware that this seemingly simple decision would bump our total to $45--a fact we only discovered at pickup.But, remaining open-minded and optimistic, we forged ahead. We also got three potato balls. The wait was about 30 minutes. The people working there were lovely and they had plenty of seatings in the space. They let us know that the restaurant no longer has an online menu (so all the pictures floating around online are outdated). Instead, they only take orders based on what's available in the case that day, in person. In a moment of weakness (read: hunger), we stared into the case and added an order of garlic knots (3 per order) to the mix. At checkout, our grand total was just over $70 for a pizza, three garlic knots, and three potato balls. Whew, because we only had $75 in cash and it is a cash only business. Here is a honest review of the food: 1. the pizza wasn't terrible--it was what one expects from a NY slice, nothing unique. The pizza itself reminded us of Costco pizza, but greasier, and we were disappointed by how floppy it was--the bottom lacked any crispness. 2. Upon closer inspection, there were 34 olives in total. Perhaps they were hand-picked this morning in the Mediterranean and flown in first-class since they costed $10? One can only hope. 3. The potato balls are quite delicious, but again, they costed $6 each. Here's our budget tip: Get the $1 garlic knots, add some marinara and cheese powder, and make your own slice.
