We had a great experience here! First off, it's a carry out only place - or maybe I should say, there's no option to dine in. We weren't clear on that until we walked in and saw the "No eating in lobby sign". It was fine with us, we just took it back to our hotel room next door. There seemed to be only one employee working but he was fast. We only waited 17 minutes from placing our walk in order to receiving it and 2 others came in to pick up what they had ordered prior to us. To me, he was fast & efficient. This little hole in the wall has one of the best Italian subs that I've had in a long time; the bread is nice and fresh, the meat sliced to perfection and topped off with tasty Italian dressing. Avoid this "sandwich shop" at all costs. They serve an absolutely pathetic attempt of a sandwich at a hefty price. As noted in the photo, they plop one piece of an unknown "meat" that they allege is ham, some form of cheese, and lettuce and an unripe tomato on a roll. I was at st augustine beach staying for almost a week for vacay and this pizza place is literally a 2 min walk from the hotel i was staying at and the pizza was chef kiss they also give out individual slices if you ever want to just buy one or two instead of a whole box. I got a small when i went and it's six slices i ate four...oops and my brother ate the last time and he had already eaten two other slices before that. I would definitely recommend !! read more

The pizza is good and the price point is also good but my god why are the employees SO MEAN??? We just left a few moments ago. The woman working looked like serving us (we just needed two slices of pizza) was physically painful for her. They only had two slices left so they asked if I wanted them to bake another pizza for our third slice. The man seemed happy to do so but I didn't want to wait 15 min so we just went with the two they had. She keeps asking me what kind I wanted. We see that but he just wants to know if it's for like- animals, or heart disease etc... she rolled her eyes and asked another man who said it was for a boys home. My husband and I each ordered an 12" Italian sub to eat at the beach. Both had very little meat inside - one or two pieces of what looked like mortadella and a few small pieces of pepperoni. There was also some shredded mozzarella with lettuce and tomato on it. We waited 30 minutes for them, then went to the beach before we opened them. We should've gone back and asked for our $25 back. First visit, had a bad experience here on a weekday afternoon. The restaurant is seat yourself or you can order at the counter. It took a while for anyone to notice us at our table. The server was very nice but their clothes looked dirty, which is not comforting at a food-service establishment. We really only wanted to order a couple slices but the menu says that the lunch special Pizza By The Slice runs from only 11-3, and since it was around 430p we did not order slices. However the next two customers who came in ordered and received single pizza slices, so we were quite disappointed by that bc we felt that our only option was to order whole pizzas. We ordered two pies; they were not the worst pizzas we've ever had, but definitely not good quality. The Greek pizza had good ingredients but every item was crunchy/undercooked. The pizza was hot but there were so many toppings that water dripping from our pizzas. After removing a slice or two from the pan, the other slices were sitting in water... The other pizza was pep and sausage, and after picking up the slice, all the meat and cheese toppings slid right off the dough. This one was also a very wet pizza. This restaurant says it's New York style pizza but it was not what you'd expect: thick crust, normal size slices. Would not return. read more
