I recently had the pleasure of trying Tony's Pizza at Crescent Beach, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. This family-owned restaurant has been a staple in the area since 1983, and it's clear why. The pizza was hands down the best I've had in the St. Augustine area, and maybe the best pizza I had in the US. And I tell this with some property since I've lived in New Haven, CT - the place of the best pizzas in the US! The crust border was perfectly crispy, and the toppings were generous without being overbearing. And the best part? The price was very fair. It's no wonder that this place is a go-to spot for locals, including law enforcement. However, it's only available for take-out or eating outside since it's run by a father and son only (no big external staff). Overall, I highly recommend Tony's Pizza to anyone looking for a delicious and affordable option in the Crescent Beach area. Born and raised in St. Augustine, FL, I have been going to Tony's Pizza for years now. There isn't any other place in St. Augustine I dare get my pizza. The ingredients are always fresh, the tomato sauce is unique, the dough is prepared from scratch and it shows! Many places claim to be "New York Style", but this shop is true to it's name. Not only is the food absolutely delicious (I admittedly devoured a whole XL pizza on my own...and I'm a tiny lady) but the customer service is outstanding. Tony's pizza is and has always been family owned and operated since day one and even the waitresses that work there are just like family. Don't miss your opportunity when in St. Augustine to stop by and enjoy a slice of heaven. I was not expecting much out of a tiny place like this. Boy was I pleasantly surprised. The Stromboli was absolutely incredible. It was much more than I could eat and will make a great lunch. My wife had a Chicken Parmesan sub. The bread was a bit crunchy but the sub was very good? It was huge so half of that went home as well. Service was top rate as well. Fast, friendly and efficient.
