Favorite coffee in st Augustine! Great environment and right near the fort. Wish there was one in my city!

I walked in and the line was long, but our order was taken quickly and my coffee was ready in less than 10 minutes. The guy behind the counter was super friendly and helpful. Love that they have juice/snacks for littles. Don't get to come to St. Augustine much because we live in Georgia now, but will definitely be back whenever we are in town. read more

I visited City Perks with a group of close friends, and all five of us ended up loving it. I tried one of their spring specials, the Early Bird, an iced coffee with pistachio and sweet cream cold foam and it was delicious. The espresso was strong in the best way, and the flavors were really balanced. It was around $9-10, so probably not an everyday drink for me, but definitely something I'd get again when I'm in the area. I also tried their blueberry cheesecake, and wow... it tasted homemade, rich, and honestly amazing. It's dense, so three of us shared it and it was perfect. If you visit, I highly recommend trying one of their cheesecakes..they're worth it. Overall, super cute spot, great drinks, and even better desserts. read more

This is a really nice little coffee spot with a cozy, comfortable atmosphere. It's the kind of place that feels relaxed and welcoming, making it a great spot to sit for a bit and enjoy a cup of coffee. The space itself is cute and inviting, which adds to the overall experience. The coffee was good and exactly what you'd hope for from a neighborhood café. I also tried their Asiago bagel, which was really tasty--the cheesy crust gives it great flavor and it paired perfectly with my coffee. City Perks is a Saint Augustine staple in a nice centralized locations, that we always make time for when visiting this great town. Excellent coffee and dessert items, clean and bold interior, indoor and outdoor seating, and just a great atmosphere to enjoy. The crew is not only talented at preparing fantastic coffee, they always seem pleasant and excited to serve up excellence. Typically I get their cold brew, it's excellent but this time I tried something off of the fall menu. O ordered the Pumpkin pie latte and it was excellent. Sweet, creamy but bold as well. Really a nice fall drink. City Perks is a must do when you're in Saint Augustine. I highly recommend you give them a try. read more

Great coffee shop located right in the mix of all the madness! Despite being inundated with tourists and locals during the holidays, the employees were all super pleasant and accommodating. We tried the rattle datil, peppermint mocha and toasted coconut mocha and I have to say all were pretty delicious, though the TCM and PM felt rather sweet for my taste. I would probably ask for 50% less sweet next time but that's my preference. The shop also has a nice selection of pastries, wine & beer and a little back area you can sit outside. City Perks offers a variety of coffees and sweet treats with seating inside for A/C or outside patio or outside views of the fort. Seasonal coffee selections can be served hot or iced. This coffee shop was across the way from our room at the St. George Inn. I was here every day for my morning latte. I ordered one of their seasonal flavors with coconut and vanilla. Baristas were efficient and friendly. Coffee was full of flavor, hot and the latte was filled to the top. I love how they also have beer, wine and cocktails. We stopped here to grab coffee. My husband got the house coffee for only 3.00 & I had to get a peppermint mocha, we shared a muffin and enjoyed our coffee sitting at a table. The muffin was very good and we both enjoyed our muffin. It was my husband's first time here. The store is cozy but they also sell wines in the back. Beautiful inside and had some great coffee options! The baristas were very kind and even showed me their matcha powder before i ordered so i could get a feel for what to add to it (like sweetener or flavor). The matcha was good, very refreshing but not that best i've had in St. Augustine. They had lots of specialty lattes and rooms to roam around in, I would definitely recommend visiting! read more

Needed a little caffeine fix before heading back home from our day trip. Stopped in and we ate so glad we did. I went to Flagler College (many moons ago) and the first thing I thought was, "Wow! I wish this was here when I was a student." The vibes are great, the coffee was delicious, and our Barista was great. Loved the atmosphere and we will definitely stop in again. I've had a lot of coffees from local coffee shops and none have been as good as this! They also had a lot of fun flavors. A nice hideaway place to get away from the busy streets of Saint Augustine. Came here with my family as we've always been curious behind these doors - we've walked past it so many times through the years. Glad we finally gave it a chance last night. We went on a Saturday around 7pm and it wasn't too crowded. The place is kept clean and they have drinks for everyone -- beer, wine, cocktails. We all got the "happy hour" Cabernet pour for $10. They have indoor and outdoor seating. It's a great place to "wine" down! read more

This was my family's first stop when we got to the area. The coffee shop was really cool with lots of nice merch and beverages to choose from. We ordered 6 different coffees. Most were pretty good. I got a nitro which I was disappointed with. They served it to me with ice in it. Nitro is typically served chilled without ice due to the nitrogen infusion. read more

We used to love this place.. as a local trying to give our business to locals as much as we can but recently back to back bad experiences, young girls work there always frustrated and act like dont want to work here. My wifes 7$ latte was super cold instead hot when i ask to heat it up i had to wait another 16 mins then she put inside microwave with all the plastic and left it in there another couple mins! The Beach Bum was delicious, although a little on the sweet side. If I get it again I'll hold the sugar. I asked for it as an espresso instead of a latte and they were friendly and accommodating! They don't allow field trip kids, but if you can escape for a few minutes, they do allow chaperones from field trips. How did I not know City Perks was there? Right on the Bayfront in St. Augustine, this little coffee shop is absolutely unassuming and discreet. I had a meeting with a friend, and was very excited to order an iced latte on a hot day. My excitement went through the roof when I saw they offered not done, but FOUR varieties of crumb cake. OMG. I am a crumb cake FIEND, and it's very hard to find in Florida. No one does it quite like the bakery we frequented in my childhood, but City Perks comes sooo close. An absolute must while in the St Augustine area for coffee. Service is outstanding and was patient and helpful with all my questions in deciding what drink to get. Highly recommend the berried out back latte, it literally tastes like blueberry pancakes and is perfect over ice for those hotter days. The inside of City Perks is extremely cozy and welcoming. Stopped by on our weekend trip to Florida this past weekend. We had been walking around all day and were going to visit the fort in Saint Augustine. We saw this Coffee shop with outdoor seating right in front, so decided to take a break and grab a coffee to sit outside. ***LOCATION*** We were just walking around and found this place. We had parked in a free street we found earlier near the tennis courts. Every other parking option was either residential only or 10-25$ in a lot, but all lots were full. We just happened to find a tiny parallel spot left on the street by the courts with no signage saying that we weren't allowed to park there, and the whole street was full of cars. So we left our car there all day and walked around. This place was 15 min from the spot where we parked. ***EXPERIENCE*** We came in and ordered right away. The barista was nice. We wanted iced lattes with a little flavor, but I don't like when they are too sweet. I usually ask for half sweet wherever I go and they just put half the amount of syrup. I asked if they could do that here for our lattes and he said yeah of course they can do half sweet! We got whatever the seasonal latte was, I think sugar cookie or something. I don't know what syrup combination they use for this but when I worked as a barista, for seasonal flavors it was usually some sort of mocha, white mocha or caramel sauce and a pump or two of another syrup flavor. If we got half sweet orders, we would do half the amount of pumps of each. Also what Starbucks does, so I am assuming all coffee shops would understand half sweet to mean half the amount of pumps. We ended up waiting a very long time for our drinks, but it was crowded. I didn't mind, but my boyfriend needed to use the restroom so I asked if they had one and they said "go out on the street and it's the 4th door on the left" He and I both went outside several times and walked around everywhere looking for the restroom but couldn't find any doors. It was just a crowded street with other businesses. Again, not a big issue, we could've asked again, but it was very busy and the baristas were working hard to get the orders done so we didn't want to bother them. We just decided to wait. But, if you go, be sure to get clear directions on where they are, because we never found them. We finally got our drinks and went and sat outside. We both took a sip and were shocked. I am almost 100% certain that they doubled the sweetner rather than doing half of it. If that was half sweet then I am pretty sure with one sip of the regular you would go into a diabetic coma... I just hate to be that customer that takes their drink back and asks them to remake it, so we tried to drink them but the photo is as much as I could manage to drink. It felt like I just had a cup of syrup and no coffee. It was worse than a Dunkin coffee lol. I can't complain too much if I didn't go back and ask them to fix it. I am really hoping they accidently doubled the sweetness and that that wasn't actually their half sweet version. I don't live in the area but if I did, I would still probably go back, but would just get no sweetner or flavor at all to be sure. ***PRICE*** The price was like any coffee shop. It was around 5-6$ for the latte and we left a tip. I hated that we wasted them after spending 12$+ for coffees but I couldn't bring myself to complain, especially when they were so busy, so we just tried to drink what we could. ***FOOD*** We didn't get any food. ***BATHROOMS*** Couldn't find them lol ***CONCLUSION*** Seems like a cool local spot. Didn't have a great experience, but we are just hoping it was a mistake with the syrup and that it wasn't actually their half sweet version. Definitely should still give them a try, just be aware of the syrups if you don't want something way too overly sweet. read more

Tahlia and Ren were so incredibly kind and helpful. * Let me start you off with parking. Parking is available here a paid parking lots surrounding the downtown area. The least expensive lot is next to the fort ( $2.50/hour, pay by plate number self-entered into the machine). * Walk across the cross walk (don't forget to hit the button) and enter the sweetest (chill spooky vibes) coffee shop entitled "City Perks". * Dark wood floors and accents everywhere. Incredible paneled black ceiling with ornate details. * Coffee menu has the most fun latte names. Such as "Berried Out Back" (a blueberry latte with vanilla and maple) or "Graveyard Shift" (an Irish crème latte with vanilla and hazelnut). They even have coffees roasted with Datil spice (it's a tangy pepper) and lattes made with datil infused simple syrups. * The kindest staff. Ren took my order. I have severe food allergies and informed them if they weren't able to provide something free of cross contact, I was entirely okay and wouldn't be upset, I would just order something for my sister and not for me. * Ren was patient with me and confirmed that they had a space to prepare a dairy free and free or milk -contact/contamination oat milk latte with caramel, coconut, and vanilla flavors. * Tahlia provided me a list of their vegan flavors and used a fresh cup to mix and opened a new straw to stir instead of using the stirrer they were using on other lattes to ensure there wasn't any cross contact. * I'm so grateful for the care, attention to detail, and concern. * They were so kind. Brought the coffee out to me. * They both asked if I liked it, and asked if it tasted okay. * It was amazing. I thanked them generously and asked for their names to ensure I could leave a review of just how kind they were. * This is the sweetest small business with the kindest staff. * If the owner reads this, I hope you understand just how incredible your employees are. They really are the reason this business is staying busy.
