It was around Christmas so there were lines everywhere and this shop was no exception. The first thing I noticed is they were out of lids, straws, and may flavorings for their coffee. Came here while at Night of Lights for a warm sweet treat and saw a sign for the best hot chocolate in St. Aug and it was great! Reminds me of a Ghiradelli hot chocolate. And after almost a week drinking only American coffee, the espresso tasted like glory made beverage. Besides, they are right next to a restaurant where they have live music and you kind of enjoy it while you drink your coffee. On a trip to St. Augustine, we stopped by Crucial Coffee Cafe after some sightseeing. The best way to describe Crucial Coffee is that it's a shack. A shack with character. It's definitely a grab-and-go type spot because it's really small. There was quite a line when we visited on a weekday. The reason for the long line? Only one person was working and he was moving at a snail's pace. He didn't seem like he wanted to be there and he was taking his sweet time with every order. I ended up getting a smoothie. You get to make your own smoothie by picking out two fruits but they were out of several of the menu items listed.
