Myth & Legend Coffee isn't just a café -- it's a love letter to flavor, comfort, and quiet moments shared over a perfect cup. Nestled on the charming brick-lined Charlotte Street in historic downtown St. Augustine, this dreamy little spot wraps you in warmth from the moment you walk in. The space is cozy, intimate, and softly lit -- the kind of place where conversations linger and time slows down. It's the sort of coffee shop that feels like it belongs in a romantic novel. The menu is thoughtful and full of heart. We fell in love with the Bagel Sandwich and The Bootlegger -- each bite layered with bold, delicious flavors and just the right touch of heat, thanks to the jalapeño and garlic aioli. These aren't just sandwiches; they're comforting, crave-worthy creations that stay with you long after the last bite. But the real magic? The Build Your Own Flight -- four handcrafted drinks of your choice, like a symphony of flavors in one beautiful lineup. We chose matcha, toasted coconut, a seasonal latte, and the caramel latte -- each one unique, smooth, and brewed with intention using beans from Because Coffee Co. It's a true sensory experience -- each sip like a whispered story told in layers of taste. And what made our visit even more special? The people. Emma and Mak made us feel like regulars on our first visit, and Angela, the GM, came over personally to share the heartwarming story behind the café. That kind of connection stays with you. Myth & Legend Coffee 88 Charlotte Street, St. Augustine, FL Whether you're starting your morning, taking a midday break, or just looking for a place to fall in love with coffee (and maybe each other), Myth & Legend is a place where flavor, ambiance, and heart come together in the most beautiful way.

We had lunch in St. Augustine and then were going to walk around and do a little shopping. My daughter really wanted a coffee so we stopped in this adorable coffee shop. They have coffee, tea, and some food items. She ordered an iced Jack Frost. It was a peppermint mocha coffee drink and tasted great. Service was pretty quick. Plenty of seats inside too.

Stopped in for a quick sip before dinner since it was getting chill outside I got the Conquistador as a hot latte and have zero regrets. It's no too sweet and it keeps you warm with the spices and th warmth of a cozy drink The interior has plenty of comfortable seats and the interior decor space is neat as well

On point! Super friendly staff, amazing coffee and comfy seating. I had the iced coconut crème tea and it was absolutely fab - add a bit of honey and you've got a winner. Exactly what we were looking for as a place to relax and read for our vacation in St Augustine. Definitely our kind of vibe. Especially on a little rainy afternoon. Just a wonderful find overall. Do yourself a favor and hit this place up.

    The Genovar iced coffee drink

I'm always on the lookout for new coffee shops. While spending the weekend in St. Augustine, I stumbled upon this one night when it was closed. I knew I had to return the next morning to check it out. It seems they've only been open for about two months now. I absolutely love the decor here. The ambiance and artwork evoke a slightly older era with a military and pioneering flair--some might even call it legendary. The drink I ordered, "The Genovar," perfectly fit the theme. To fully appreciate this drink, I recommend asking for it in a "for here" glass rather than a to-go cup; it made all the difference for me. The two ladies at the counter were very helpful with my numerous questions about the menu. My wife ordered the light roast pour-over coffee, and we went with the barista's recommendation for which coffee to use, which was very helpful. The only downside is that this place is 45 minutes from my house. I'll be thinking about "The Genovar" for a while. After some research, I found out that the drink is named after a nearby street "I think". The menu also features many other drinks with intriguing names.

    Call me old fashioned but

Some delicious coffee while I read and relax at the beautiful Myth & Legend.

Sweetwater Coffee understood the assignment…read more I ordered the banana bread latte and let me just say... if banana bread and coffee had a personality, this would be it. It was smooth, cozy, and somehow tasted like a hug but also woke me up like I had responsibilities. This was much needed after we landed from cold Chicago, like "hey girl"! Perfect balance of flavor and caffeine, not overly sweet, and actually tasted like real coffee (which is rare these days). If you're in St. Augustine, do yourself a favor and stop here, you'll leave caffeinated, happy, and maybe a little motivated as well!

Not only did I find delicious coffee and beautiful local art - which is what you'd expect and hope to find given the name - but fresh, homemade breakfast/lunch options and some of the most genuine, sweet people who remember their regulars and truly appreciate customer loyalty, which is far too rare in the service industry these days. In 3 years, I've had only great food and coffee here, but it's the warm, thoughtful, human element that has kept me coming back and will keep me coming for years to come. Thank you, Mike and the Sweetwater crew! *A note for my fellow wheeled peops: It's small, depending on the type of chair you have, and may require deft maneuvering but there is an accessible entrance in the back between Chase bank and the Villa Zorayda museum. If you need help getting in, call. They will all help, without hesitation. Don't miss out on an amazing experience.
