What a great spot! Top notch coffees and a great variety of baked goods. Always a good stop!

There are very friendly and helpful employees working here. Their offerings are clearly described and displayed well enough that you are able to make a solid choice on a beverage or a piece of pastry. In the main area there is plenty of seating read more

The Kookaburra - Coffee Roasteries Near Me - St. Augustine, Florida

Stopped here, since it seems to be the place to get coffee in St. Augustine. Plus I've heard Australia has a great coffee culture. The coffee was very good. I had an iced honey badger latte, and it was delicious. We also tried the Aussie pies, which were just ok. I'd skip those tbh. I think my husband got the wrong one, since we thought it had sausage and halfway through we realized there was none lol. Overall, staff was very friendly. Their bathroom seems to need some work (was clogging up, yikes). read more

I visited The Kookaburra in St. Augustine and had an iced coffee that was so good--smooth, flavorful, and perfectly refreshing. The shop itself is spotless and has a bright, clean feel that makes you want to stay awhile. The staff is genuinely kind and friendly, which makes the whole experience even better. A great stop whether you're local or just passing through. read more

We got the crust less quiche and sugar free PC. The quiche was solid wasn't expecting the spice but good to know there's gluten free options. I was VERY impressed with the sugar free syrups and strength of the coffee. Will be returning read more

Nice coffee shop with plenty of space for patrons. Been here before. Great selection of baked goods if you are looking for that. The Aussie Pies are spicy - like black pepper spicy. Just a heads up if your palette doesn't like spice. Service was great and very helpful. Coffee is always good, but it is a limited/ basic menu. Nothing fancy. read more

I enjoy this place! I got the Honey Badger iced coffee and frozen hot chocolate which were delicious! I hadn't realized that the breakfast flavors on the menu are only offered until 1ish. We came after that so we had to try other flavors. The chili Thai chicken one was good. The meat pie was even better! Great service, easy parking. read more

Service was fast and friendly. I ordered a caramel iced coffee and a porker to enjoy on the deck. As a bonus I ordered an almond scone for my next morning breakfast. All tasted very good, however the porker was a bit too salty. Enjoyed the outside deck people watching and chatting with other traveler. read more

The Kookaburra - L-R: Iced Aussie, Mocha Nut, Carmel - Coffee Roasteries Near Me - St. Augustine, Florida

Right across the street from the St. Augustine Beach (Crescent Beach) is a cool coffee and lunch spot. A nice selection of different coffees, fresh pastries and muffins for breakfast and some very good Aussie Pies for breakfast or lunch. Saying that, I never had (or knew) what an Aussie Pie was. So I had to give it a try. It was lunch time so the traditional meat pie for me. Filled with minced meat, onions and tasty tomato gravy. Mined you I had nothing to compare it to, being my first one but I can tell you this. The crust was lite and flaky and the meat and onion filling hot and delicious. On a hot day you definitely need to give the Iced Honey Badger a try. Latte with Honey, Cinnamon and Vanilla. Just awesome. Oh and it pairs well with a nice piece of their "melt in your mouth" Carmel Slice. I'm always happy to see the Baristas helping customers with choices if they are unsure. Great customer service, with a smile and very upbeat. Lots of seating both inside and out. And so sorry for this but I just had to ,,, "Kookaburra sits in the old gum tree. Eating all the gumdrops he can see. Stop, Kookaburra, Stop, Kookaburra Leave some there for me". Ok it's outta my system now. lol read more

Clean, nice staff and very friendly. Great coffee as a visitor who loves her daily iced coffee.

Excellent coffee, excellent service, excellent place to get exceptional coffee! I will be back and this place was worth the money!!

Visiting Saint Augustine for three nights, walked across the street to this one of many coffee shops... What a fantastic experience! The only thing better than the food and coffee was the level of service and cleanliness of the dining area! I know there are many of these around town, but this one was fantastic, and a must stop! read more

my wife and I came here on a drive by just randomly. Her mother is from Australia and my wife said "That place looks interesting" so we turned in. we ordered a couple of pies true blue and the meat pie. my wife had a childhood moment saying these pies tasted just like her mom made growing up. That in itself is rare for her. the service was amazing and the food and coffee tasted amazing. To find out the owner is Aussie was awesome. my wife truly got a taste of home and it was the perfect end to our drive. we plan on coming back. thanks to you guys for an awesome experience read more

As bad luck would have it, I ended up having to put in a few hours of work during a weekend visit to St. Augustine. As good luck would have it, though, I found a great place to do that work here at Kookaburra! Over the two mornings I was here I got to try both the regular brew and the americano (oops, I mean the long black), and both were excellent (and quite different from one another in terms of flavor profile). Coffee aside, there was a lot of comfortable seating, large tables, and fairly good (but not great) wifi. Also, the service was excellent. One suggestion I would make to the proprietors would be to institute a no phone call/no virtual meeting policy, since a few people seem to treat this place as their personal office space, and I really don't enjoy overhearing other people's work calls (I had to make a couple of my own, but took them outside). read more

The Kookaburra - cappuccino, iced latte, corker aussie pie - Coffee Roasteries Near Me - St. Augustine, Florida

I hate to say it, but this is the best coffee shop in Saint Augustine, hands-down. If you're visiting, I highly highly recommend that you go there. Please don't go to Starbucks. You can go there anywhere not that there's anything wrong with that but kookaburra roast their own beans they got their own drinks that are unique and they serve pastries and stuff if you wanna get a snack. Just a chill place to hang out and have coffee with friends. You can hang out inside. It's always nice and clean or you can go outside. They have several location locations around town. As far as the baristas they aim to please if you just take care of them, they'll take care of you! read more

I've tried the other St. Augustine location before, and to no surprise this one is just as great! I had an iced oat chai (good especially if you like a spicy chai) and the Vejjo aussie pie which was a great vegetarian option. This place is so spacious during a pandemic that you could do roller skating laps on that concrete floor, but try not to hit yourself on those wood tables or merch shelves- ouch! Must be popular too because we had a solid 15min wait behind 5 people when we entered who apparently all needed some extra fancy labor intensive espresso drink that held up the line. But it's Florida- no one's in a hurry here, right? Those breakfast pies were calling our name, and a sweet pastry too? Don't mind if I do. We're definitely going to walk that off, right? Sure. Truth be told that cinnamon scone was so big it was slowly eaten over 3 days, but the extra insulation on my thighs may last far longer. We decided to sit at an outside table and silently judge everyone who walked in the door while sipping away our own insecurities behind coffee cups. A beautiful day in the neighborhood. read more

Highly recommended to us for coffee drinks. Nice walk from our place as well. Obviously very busy, but well worth the wait. My wife had the Carmel latte and she absolutely loved it. I had the "drip" coffee and it was delicious. I added a few pastries, such as a chocolate chip muffin, slice of pumpkin bread and a scone of some sort. HOLY MOLY, the scone was the best I had ever tried before. The muffin and pumpkin bread were delicious as well. If i lived in this area permanently i would be here every day! We randomly drove by this place on our way to st Augustine. I didn't see this place, but my fiancé who was driving saw it and immediately had to do a u-turn on the road. As I'm an Aussie, he said this place was meant to be and we had to stop by and try it. How delighted I was to finally have something to remind me of home. The store is very spacious inside, and there were only two types of pies available. We had to try to original meat pie and it didn't disappoint. The coffee is also amazing, I got a flat white with almond milk. Not being biased at all, but I'm glad to have some delicious coffee unlike the ones that I've tasted here. read more

My husband and I stopped in here TWICE today (Sunday) trying to get a taste of the delicious-sounding Aussie pies. Our first attempt was made at about 9:45 am. We waited in a long line and watched the sparsely supplied case get emptied of any available food as the customers ahead of us placed their orders. We returned at 12:30 to find one pie in the case. I'm not sure how this place stays open or makes a profit as they don't really seem to want to serve food or know how to prepare for and meet the demand! Bummer! read more
