Super cute eatery, glad I popped in for a quick bite while I was on the road. I grabbed a chocolate banana bread slice and it was amazing. Losing and delicious. A bagel, everything, with vegan cream cheese and regular because I was curious about the vegan. Also they have shirts and tanks really the best super soft material 10/10 recommend. read more

Stopped by on our way home from a one night stay in Saint Augustine for a coffee and this place is CUTE! It's like stepping into a cute kitchen in someone home. It is gluten free, refined sugar free, I think dairy free too. I got an iced strawberry oat milk latte that could've been a bit sweeter or more strawberry flavor but was still really good and creamy! We didn't get any pastries but they all looked lovely! The two woman working were very nice and friendly! Check them out if you're in Saint Augustine! read more

Fast and friendly service. This is our second time here and I love all the GF options! I had an almond biscotti last time which was great and the coffee cake today - also amazing! I am taking home a cinnamon roll for later and a bag of their Dolce Espresso blend. We sat outside and enjoyed the weather. It's not the nicest outdoor area due to all the traffic but it makes for some interesting people watching. read more

I am totally a gluten-free girly and was so looking forward to visiting here. Upon arriving I was asking questions about some of the baked goods trying to decide what I wanted and I found the customer service and the interaction of questions answered to be totally lacking... which to me is almost as more important then the products. I couldnt decided what I wanted, but I opted for a soma chocolate doughnut which was just good and a little mushy and small for the price. The flavor was not what I expected. I also had a peppermint ice cream bar which I had to leave sitting in the car for 10 minutes just to take a bite out of. The 2 lattes were normal. I understand gluten-free is hard to do, but I really had such high hopes for this with my allergies. I'm hoping I just caught them on an off day and want to try again! read more

I'm gluten free, dairy free and don't eat refined sugars. When my wife told me about this place I had to give it a try. We went today and tried the ice cream cookie sandwich and almond butter and jelly on their gluten free toast along with a coconut milk matcha and strawberry latte which my wife enjoyed. What a treat to have a place to go for a sweet treat, that I don't have to make myself, and a naturally sweetened matcha latte that's dairy free. The service was also very good, professional and polite, which is a rarity these days. We will be frequent fliers from now on for sure! read more

Absolutely recommend this beautiful little gem! Had the lemon loaf and an iced honey lavender latte with coconut milk. For someone with celiac this place was excellent. The lemon loaf is seasonal, and totally worth it! I can't wait to go back and try their version of a toaster pastry! read more

Exactly as expected. This little bakery was extremely cheerful and cozy inside. The pastry options were so vast that I had to buy a to-go box of the ones I couldn't choose between to take home. The coffee was also delicious. It was a bit small and so had about 2-3 tables inside and 1 table outside to sit at and also had a small couch/seating area available for groups as well. I wish I lived closer because I could definitely see myself coming often! read more

I love the entire premise for this place!! Real ingredients and delicious bakery items! The shop is one the smaller side, with some seating inside and a small counter for ordering. Everything is very bright and airy in here, i love the vibe of the place. I've tried 5 of their bakery items now and each one was absolutely delicious, and bonus, that it made me feel good with the GF and DF!! The cookie bun, cinnamon roll, and snickerdoodle blondie were some of my favorites, but the pecan brownie and poptart were also great! You really can't go wrong with anything here! The only thing that I've noticed, is everytime i come, the baristas are not friendly and just seem like they don't want to be there. Not a big deal to me but ruins the energy sometimes. Other than that, this is the perfect place for anyone wanting a yummy sweet treat and coffee! The vegan, GF, DF options are delicious and not terrible for you too! I love it!! read more

The food and drinks were amazing!! The food there is great for Vegan, Dairy Free, and Gluten Free eaters! As a foodie myself i love my sweet treats but i am lactose intolerant which makes it hard to find GOOD dairy free sweets...this place has it ALL!! Can't even begin to describe the customer service of alms + fare! I reached out on their website asking if they made custom cakes and I was e-mailed back by Christine, the owner, stating that they could. We went back and forth about details for my mom's 60th birthday cake (she is gluten free and it's hard for her to find delicious desserts) and chose a pick up date and time. The cake was exactly what I asked for - a double layer coconut cake with micro flowers and they even wrote on it. It was very affordable, I totally expected to pay a lot more for the cake so I made sure to leave a tip. Super cute and clean inside. It was delicious as well..super moist and not too sweet. Cute little coffee shop by Old Historic St Augustine but coffee not so great even though they use Kookaburra Beans. I ordered an Iced Double Espresso Honey Lavender with Almond Milk. Coffee is definitely water down for a double espresso order. Also had the Fudgy Brownie which was pretty good and texture of the fudgyness was on point! Visit Kookaburra at St Augustine Beach now that's a heck of an amazing coffee! At the end of the day; they use their Coffee Beans. read more

I've already been twice in two days! Love love love their desserts and drinks! I didn't get to try their quiches or frittatas because they run out so early in the mornings. That rose latte was absolutely delicious and one I'll remember for a long time to come. I tried so many of their desserts - donuts, bars, cookies - and each item was phenomenal, especially for being prepared gluten-free, vegan, and naturally sweetened. We were looking for something sweet on out way out of St.Augustine and stopped by. We ordered the cinnamon roll and their version of a blondie. This place is gluten free so the textures of the baked goods are a little different. The blondie was amazing! Not like your typical blondie that is thick abd cookie like. It was a more like a moist cake. It reminded me of a Filipino dessert that my mom would make. It was very good. The cinnamon roll was just okay in my opinion. But I like and ooooey gooey cinnamon roll. This one had a firm texture. We also ordered a cortado which was very good. The inside was nicely decorated and very clean. This sweet little shop is incredibly allergy-friendly! Arrive early in the day to pick from a bakery case full of gluten-free, dairy-free, and select vegan options!! Everything is adorable and comfy for your tummy. I bought a wide selection of cookies, bars, and candy. They certainly prefer coconut flour, so everything kind of tasted the same since it was mostly coconut-flavored. My favorite thing was the pecan bars and the double chocolate chip cookies. Very good chai latte! Good spice level 3/5 and moderately sweet 3/5. It definitely was NOT your basic grocery store chai concentrate latte. Cute and airy shop with outdoor seats. I stopped into Alms + Fare with a dear friend- we were in St Augustine having a girls day, and needless to say- a sign that said "bakery" was all we needed to turn in! Very nice cafe style seating- we enjoyed our treats sitting on the cushy chairs. I went with a seasonal drink, a hibiscus lemonade refresher and Julie had the roo-bru, a coffee alternative. We both loved the drinks- the quiche was a little different than I am used to- the donut was tasty as was the bar treat. My friend also snagged some treats to go- a candy bar alternative that she liked and I could pass on. Good for me, because I didn't need to eat more, lol! What I really loved was the customer service. I asked for my refresher to go and it was spilled- so the young lady made me a new one to replace it! I just wanted to share how much I love Alms+ Fare!! The owner and her staff are so sweet and kind!! And the coffee and treats are truly the best GF in town!! But tonight I just wanted to share, I just bought the GF pizza dough. I had my 3year old grandson help me roll out the dough and make his own pizza. We had fun making the pizza, and the best part he and his little 2 year old picky eater sister ate it up!! They loved the pizza and we had a great experience making our own GF pizza!! Delicious!! I've been a faithful fan and consistent customer of Alms + Fare for over a year and a half now (maybe even 2)! I always love seeing what Christine, the owner, comes up with. She experiments with a variety of seasonal food items. Most recently, she added smoothie bowls to the menu! Just in time for the summer heat. I tried one today (7/7) and thoroughly enjoyed every bite. I don't know about you, but I prefer smoothie-thick acai as opposed to icy sorbet acai. The smoothie bowl had the perfect consistency. I would highly recommend this acai to anyone. I also love the lemon bar and giant chocolate cookie. Alms + Fare is my favorite pick me up! read more

I sampled 5 little pastries and for gluten-free they were excellent. I am not a gluten-free fan & I wish they would carry a few products with some real butter flavor -- clearly labeled of course. The Ice Plant location was historically St. Augustine's first power and ice complex. Now the building has been revitalized and has The Ice Plant and The St. Augustine Distillery. The St. Augustine Distillery is connected to The Ice Plant and is a great tour to check out right before heading to grab food at the restaurant. There are a variety of guided and self-guided tours. My spouse and I checked out the self-guided tour right before we grabbed dinner at The Ice Plant. The tour isn't particularly long but was filled with information. After the tour, we headed upstairs to the restaurant. The restaurant feels really spacious with its super tall ceilings. There was lots to look at reminding us of the previous use of the building. We ordered the hand cut fries, strawberry and beet salad, and the gochujang marinated pork chop. I also ordered a few of their drinks, each one featuring different types of ice to fit the drink. Honestly all the food and the drinks were so good, but the easy standout of the night for both my spouse and I were the pork chops. These might have been the best pork chops I've ever had in my life. I asked our server how the pork chop was cooked. Our server said that the pork chops were cooked sous vide, which makes a lot of sense as to how they were so tender. I've already told my spouse if we are in the St. Augustine area again, I would make a special trip just to get these pork chops again, they were that good. I really enjoyed this restaurant. This was my favorite spot we checked out in the St. Augustine area, if you are ever passing by the area, check The Ice Plant out!
