Oh my. I've only had the chocolate bignet while I wait for my sandwich, Le Normandie. Between that soft little bignet and the atmosphere, I'm already sold! What a beautiful little place! Parking is very limited but that's okay at 11 on a Thursday morning. Don't wait - come here soon!

    French Pastry

Stopped at this French cafe while traveling to St Augustine and I'm glad I did. The Lavazza espresso was really good, not bitter as it's too often the case. The French pastry, religieuse, was delicious. I didn't have one for a long time so it was pleasant surprise. Service was great too.

    Dark Chocolate Delice

We have been in St Augustine for 4 weeks and have eaten out everyday (don't judge me). Of all the places we've eaten (some fancy, some not), this is hands-down the best!!! We came for brunch and it was amazing! My husband & I split the Croque Madame Marie. The bread is so soft, you weren't sure you had taken a bite. I was used to the dish being served open-face on bread, but this was more of a brioche style bun, which was absolutely the best I've ever eaten. One of our kids had the quiche fromage and another one the baguette ham sandwich. Plus the quiche came with a salad with an exquisite red wine dressing. You order at the counter, which must be a marketing ploy, because you're standing there looking at the tempting desserts. Was glad we had split the entrée because I didn't feel guilty about ordering the Dulce de leche cheesecake. Well worth the calories (and I wasn't happy about splitting it!). Our kids got the dark chocolate delice which I would have loved to try but was way too full. If I only get to come back to one restaurant in St Augustine, this would be it.

Sweetwater Coffee understood the assignment…read more I ordered the banana bread latte and let me just say... if banana bread and coffee had a personality, this would be it. It was smooth, cozy, and somehow tasted like a hug but also woke me up like I had responsibilities. This was much needed after we landed from cold Chicago, like "hey girl"! Perfect balance of flavor and caffeine, not overly sweet, and actually tasted like real coffee (which is rare these days). If you're in St. Augustine, do yourself a favor and stop here, you'll leave caffeinated, happy, and maybe a little motivated as well!

Not only did I find delicious coffee and beautiful local art - which is what you'd expect and hope to find given the name - but fresh, homemade breakfast/lunch options and some of the most genuine, sweet people who remember their regulars and truly appreciate customer loyalty, which is far too rare in the service industry these days. In 3 years, I've had only great food and coffee here, but it's the warm, thoughtful, human element that has kept me coming back and will keep me coming for years to come. Thank you, Mike and the Sweetwater crew! *A note for my fellow wheeled peops: It's small, depending on the type of chair you have, and may require deft maneuvering but there is an accessible entrance in the back between Chase bank and the Villa Zorayda museum. If you need help getting in, call. They will all help, without hesitation. Don't miss out on an amazing experience.

There's always something new to explore, and Myth & Legend did not disappoint. It was actually recommended to us by another restaurant we were visiting, and we're so glad we stopped in. Their menu features one of the most creative selections of handcrafted coffees and matcha drinks I've ever seen. I ordered the peanut butter cold foam coffee topped with freeze-dried strawberries, and it tasted exactly like a PB&J sandwich in the best possible way. It was absolutely incredible. The atmosphere was welcoming, the drinks were thoughtfully crafted, and you can tell a lot of creativity goes into everything they do. If you're visiting St. Augustine and looking for something different from the typical coffee shop experience, I highly recommend stopping by and giving Myth & Legend a try.

It's the kind of place that feels cozy but also open and airy at the same time. The coffee was delicious and well made. I originally wanted to try their heated cheddar bagel, but unfortunately their oven was broken that day. Even so, I decided to try it untoasted and it still tasted great! The flavor was really good and it paired nicely with the coffee. Overall, it's a lovely spot to sit and enjoy a drink, especially with all that natural light coming through the windows. I'd definitely come back again--hopefully next time when the oven is working so I can try that cheddar bagel toasted!
