Cute place!
Kevin W.

A very nice quaint place to go for breakfast. We found this place while spending a few days in St. Augustine. They have a small but good selection of wine in the front, a few local gifts in the back, and nice breakfast/lunch selections in between. We each ordered dark coffee which was rich, fresh, and hot! Served in a warmed up mug which was a nice touch. We also ordered the breakfast sandwich which had over-easy egg (at the employee's suggestion, you can have the egg prepared another way), bacon and cheese on a biscuit. The menu only indicated bagel or croissant but the employee suggested the biscuit option. I'm not really into biscuits as I can take them or leave them. This one was good! Light, flakey, delicious. The sandwich was a hot mess with the over-easy egg but I would get it again just as it was served. Very good experience. Super friendly staff.

Juniper was right next to the hotel I was staying at during a recent visit and so we decided to stop in for breakfast one morning. The place is super cute and the staff was nice. Our food came out pretty quickly and we were originally going to take it to go but decided to eat it there. Their sandwiches were delicious! The biscuits had amazing flavor. My fiancé loved his, as well. I couldn't recommend them more!

Finally came in, I was so excited to try it. After ordering I wasn't fully convinced the pictures on the website were pretty, and the portions decent. Now the reality of the food was small and prices were expensive. The breakfast sandwhich was $9 and it was super small. My turkey special was a fail; the croissant shrunk the cheese square could wrap around it at least 2 x then my bean soup I was thinking it would be creamy tomato soup with black beans, but instead it tasted like canned beans dumped to boil and corner chunks of tomato thrown in it, and nothing else. Not worth $13. My total was $46 for 4 items !! That were not even gourmet.... how did this happen??? 1) mini breakfast sandwhich 2) turkey special 3) small hot chocolate 4) canned Róse Way too expensive! & service was ok the staff ringing us up were just blah not friendly, not too helpful. Inside is nice and spacious well lit and they had 2 highchairs available. One which was filthy, luckily I had my wipes with me.... In a nutshell I tried it wasn't impressed, prices seemed high for quantity of food. I can guarantee I will not be back.

COMPLETE TIME WASTER. (The book, not the café--don't come for me.) The café? Absolutely top-tier deliciousness! Great options, amazing service ((seriously, THANK YOU AGAIN, you legends)), and freakishly fast. Plus, everything's locally sourced, so you can feel smug while you munch. My husband--who takes banana bread very seriously--said their version was the closest thing to his grandmother's recipe. This is a big deal because the man practically worships BB. I had the power salad and a turmeric latte with oat milk, and let me tell you, it hit harder than a toddler with a drum set. Pro tip: ask for a side of Cowgill's hot sauce. It's so good, I'm sneaking a bottle onto our cruise like a spicy little stowaway. If room service questions it, I'll just have them try it ;) Also, once you're sufficiently stuffed, take a short stroll to the Shrine of Our Lady La Leche, just two blocks away. It's a serene and beautiful spot that offers a truly moving experience--perfect for a moment of reflection and gratitude. ENJOY!

Great little spot in St.Augustine. The Matcha was good and the service was quick & kind.

Delicious and lovely atmosphere! The hummus pita sandwich was spectacular. Yummy canned cocktail and quick service. 10/10 recommend

Americano!

If you want a little breakfast and coffee or juice, I highly suggest this place! Located at 48 San Marco Ave., parking is on the street. 6 Four top tables, 5 bar seats and take out is available. I had the quiche. It was light and fluffy with most of the flavor coming from the goat cheese. Absolutely divine. I also ordered the Americano (2shots espresso) to wake me up. Topped it off with a thick slice of banana bread, which was delicious! They also offer juices, pastries, honey for sale and bags of coffee, wine by the bottles and cans of tea. Cute place:)

Great coffee, location and muffins. The blueberry muffin was legit and bread pudding muffin was...oh mama. Get it. I've been to at Augustine many a times and have missed out every time but today it seems as this was my first time. Will be back. Grab a coffee before you assault downtown trolley actions or whatever you do. Local place ran by local people.

Egg and cheese bagel

Cute cafe with nice indoor and outdoor seating. It was fairly busy for a Friday morning. Staff was extremely nice and helpful. They recommended the egg and cheese bagel with avocado and it was great. The matcha latte was okay, tasted mostly like milk. I also had a hot latte to go which was much better.

Then they take guests into small rooms in groups of about 10 people. In our room, we had three five-month-old capybaras. Our host gave us kale, and the capybaras came right up to eat out of our hands. That's also when you can pet them. The capybaras were named after beans, and Pinto was our favorite. Pinto even rolled over for my boyfriend and clearly loved the belly rubs. Later, he jumped up on the bench behind us and just hung out for a few minutes. While we fed and petted them, the host explained how he acquired them and how to care for them. These capybaras belong to a sanctuary and were rescued. It was a glorious 30 minutes, and my boyfriend, who is from the capital of wild capybaras, got to touch his first one. His home city literally has them all around town.

Encounters are $50 for 30 minutes or $100 for an hour. Interactions start with guests sitting around in a circle. Animal care specialists then give brief introductions while distributing kale and lettuce leaves. Capybaras are native to South America. They stand about 2 feet tall and weigh anywhere from 75 - 150 pounds. Capybaras are herbivores with high-fiber diets of hay, fresh produce and abundances of Vitamin C. Capybaras are highly social and will gladly climb on your lap and eat out of your hands. Animal care specialists are generous with passing out a variety of greens so everyone has opportunities for special moments with the capybaras. And, these care specialists will voluntarily record each group's feeding experiences. Overall, Capybara Cafe is a one of a kind encounter with an animal that goes largely unnoticed, but whom can bring joy to people's hearts.

Sweetwater Coffee understood the assignment…read more I ordered the banana bread latte and let me just say... if banana bread and coffee had a personality, this would be it. It was smooth, cozy, and somehow tasted like a hug but also woke me up like I had responsibilities. This was much needed after we landed from cold Chicago, like "hey girl"! Perfect balance of flavor and caffeine, not overly sweet, and actually tasted like real coffee (which is rare these days). If you're in St. Augustine, do yourself a favor and stop here, you'll leave caffeinated, happy, and maybe a little motivated as well!

Not only did I find delicious coffee and beautiful local art - which is what you'd expect and hope to find given the name - but fresh, homemade breakfast/lunch options and some of the most genuine, sweet people who remember their regulars and truly appreciate customer loyalty, which is far too rare in the service industry these days. In 3 years, I've had only great food and coffee here, but it's the warm, thoughtful, human element that has kept me coming back and will keep me coming for years to come. Thank you, Mike and the Sweetwater crew! *A note for my fellow wheeled peops: It's small, depending on the type of chair you have, and may require deft maneuvering but there is an accessible entrance in the back between Chase bank and the Villa Zorayda museum. If you need help getting in, call. They will all help, without hesitation. Don't miss out on an amazing experience.
