Fried Pork Chop - A breakfast meal on a white plate includes a fried pork chop, two fried eggs with slightly runny yolks, slices of toasted bread, and a small red bowl of green beans with bacon bits. The plate is set on a wooden table, with a knife placed above the food.

We've passed by several times and finally decided to stop in for a visit. When you arrive, you can seat yourself which was convenient. I ordered the pork chop and eggs special, but was disappointed when the food arrived. The pork chop was surprisingly small, more like a kid's portion. Honestly, I was surprised they served it that way. Also, with the constant in-and-out traffic, a few flies made their way inside and unfortunately, a couple tried to join us at our table.

Ybor Salad and Cuban: pick 2
Christie S.

Ordered lunch to go. Decided on the pick 2, Ybor salad and Cuban sandwich for $13.59. I get that its a half salad and half sandwich but for the price, i expected a little bit more. Taste/Flavor was just OK. Person at the counter was extremely friendly and polite. Area was quiet...diner style maybe 15 tables and a bar area. Only 2 other customers in the restaurant at the time. Probably would not go back for lunch because of the portions vs cost but may try once more for Breakfast.

Nutella French toast - A plate of French toast is presented with dollops of whipped cream, sliced strawberries, and a dusting of powdered sugar. The dish is served on a white plate, with a wooden table and various condiments and drinks visible in the background, indicating a casual dining setting.

Very good food at a small diner atmosphere. Kind staff was very attentive and friendly with all the guests.

Great food at a very reasonable price. Service is always friendly and prompt. The specials that are offered add a nice variety to their menu. It's a bit small for dining and keep in mind they are very popular so there sometimes is a short wait for a table. They serve Screaming Peacock coffee which is fantastic.

The menu from The Spot Cafe in Saint Augustine, FL, displays breakfast options such as omelets, skillet dishes, burritos, and sides. It features spot omelets with various ingredients, including a three-egg omelet, ham and cheese, and vegetarian options. The menu also offers build-your-own options, with a limit of five choices, and additional charges for extras. Sides include eggs, toast, fruit, and breakfast girt. The menu emphasizes fresh ingredients and provides prices for each item, with some items served with specific accompaniments.

We were in town and I found The Spot on Yelp so we decided to check it out. It's a cute little mom and pop place with small town vibes that I loved. When we arrived there was a short wait and we opted for first available. We waited about ten minutes and were seated outside. The outdoor seating is right next to the highway so it was a little loud at times but overall totally fine. Our server seemed a little bit weeded, we had to ask for things more than once and I eventually stole what I needed from another table that left bc she forgot to bring it. Don't get me wrong, she was still good, she just seemed a little stressed or distracted. I got the coconut french toast which was INCREDIBLE! I didn't need syrup, I just ate it how it came. There was a slight savory aspect that paired so well with the sweetness of the coconut. It was SO good! My fiance got the BYO Omelette and I think he had a little bit of food envy, he said he thought about getting the french toast. Of course I gave him some. Overall the food was great and the service was decent but could have been a little better. Not bad enough to keep us from returning next time we're in town. I want more french toast!

1/2 chicken panini with Ybor City salad 1/2 Cuban sandwich with soup

First time at The Spot. Service was exactly as you would like it to being in this diner type restaurant. It is not fancy but the food is really good. I thought the chicken panini was really flavorful and my salad was excellent. I didn't care for the big blobs of ham and cheese and ended up chopping them up. My husband thought his Cuban sandwich was good. We want to go back to try some other items but it was a good solid 4 meal.

Omelette, home fries and toast - A breakfast plate includes two slices of toasted whole wheat bread, a portion of crispy, seasoned home fries, and an omelette topped with melted cheese. A fork is placed on the plate, and condiments are visible in the background. The setting appears to be a casual dining environment with salt and pepper shakers on the table.

Everything was delicious, the service was quick and attentive, and we'd absolutely come back again. The French toast was my favorite. It was simultaneously fluffy, buttery, and crispy on the edges.

Veggie omelette and a southwestern omelette. - A breakfast meal includes a cheese omelette topped with shredded cheddar cheese and roasted potatoes, served on a white plate. In the background, another plate with similar food and a person holding a fork are visible, along with a wooden table surface and some napkins.

This place is GREAT. quick friendly delicious. What else could you ask for. We'll be back!!! Love this place!!

Front counter - The photo depicts the interior of The Spot Cafe, focusing on the counter area. The counter has a granite top and a stainless steel front. Behind the counter, there is a chalkboard menu with handwritten specials, a flower arrangement with pink flowers, and display shelves with colorful items. The wall behind the counter is decorated with wood paneling, and the ceiling has track lighting. A framed picture is also visible on the wall, and a clock and a red decorative item are mounted on the wall near the ceiling.

Took forever to get our food and some of it was cold and poorly prepared. Simple stuff. Mostly breakfast. Won't be back!

Therefore, this gets a long wait for breakfast/brunch. It's hard to get a parking spot but there's free parking across the street. They have a big waiting area next to the restaurant which is definitely needed as we ended up waiting like 45 minutes around 9:30 am on a Saturday. The food was definitely worth the wait though. I got the burrito smothered with sauce and cheese and the flavor was fantastic. Flavorful but not super spicy or anything. It's also HUGE. Highly recommend. Service is a little questionable, if it was quicker they could probably help with their long wait. It was hard to flag down our girl when we needed something & it took ages to get to check.

The staff were very kind and attentive to our needs like coffee refills! I like that the coffees had unlimited refills (iced coffee and a hot drip coffee were the coffee options). I ordered the breakfast burrito with the additions of the pork sausage, red chili sauce, cheese, and scallions. It was very good! It did come out a bit cold so I think it may have been sitting for a little while on the window. My friend's Zada Jane's stack was pretty good as well. The sweet potatoes were cooked perfectly and the frittata hit the spot. I wasn't a fan of the peach butter for the biscuit but we definitely could've asked for a different type of butter but chose not to. I don't think the food was worth waiting one hour to just be seated, but it was a good breakfast :)

You will get 3 cups of high quality coffee to share at the table or have all to yourself. As far as dining al fresco, the front courtyard is beautiful! However, on our trip it was too cold to dine outside. We were seated at a large table inside that accommodated our large group. They had several tables inside, but I could see on a busy Sunday or Saturday morning this place would get waitlisted quickly. Everyone loved their meals. No complaints. I ordered the lobster roll. It was very good, but I would try something different on a return visit. The salads coming out looked amazing! Everyone at my table raved about their meals: Shukshuka, BALT, Benedicts, cinnamon rolls. Every single thing was enjoyed!

Here's a breakdown: Eggs benedict: 1/5 The restaurant did not have pork so we had to substitute for regular bacon instead. The whole dish including the potatoes was cold and the hollandaise sauce also was not fresh. Bahn mi: 2/5 As pork was not available, we had to substitute with shrimp which sadly was very bland and did not go well with the sandwich. The bread also was too toasted for my liking. While there wasn't anything outrageously bad about the bahn mi, I've definitely had much better. Shakshuka: 4/5 Great flavor and cooked very nicely. I would definitely get this again!!! Only critique is again the dish was cold. Coffee: 4/5 I really enjoyed the French press coffee including the options for non-dairy milk! However, it was on the weaker side and slightly sour tasting. We will for sure need another cup of caffeine later. Overall, I may come back to try one of the toasts; however, for the price there are definitely much better plentiful options in St. Augustine.
