If I could give them 10 out of five stars, I would. I want to give a big shout out to the owner, Mo. She was so kind and welcoming, and ensures that her staff are too. I truly enjoyed this spot and I would say that if I'm in town again, I would come back! I highly recommend it because I enjoyed the food, the vibes, the music, and the ambience was perfect. I really like the concept of the brunch board as well. What a beautiful venue in downtown Saint Augustine. Below is my rating of the food we ordered: *Empanadas: 5/5 *French Toast Sticks: 5/5 *Egg, cheese, & sausage croissant: 5/5 *Orange Juice Mimosa: 5/5 I came back for the Sunday Brunch Buffet and I was NOT disappointed. Delicious food w/ excellent service. Mo and the waitstaff were still so kind (insert big heart here).

husband found this place for breakfast, it's nearby to our hotel. The doco inside is very nice, modern and classy. The menu is extensive, be prepared for a lot of reading to do. I ordered their steak taco and husband got their simple egg breakfast. Wow, the presentation of the food on a board is impressive! Make food tastes better! love this place, so we decided to come back again tomorrow to try more item. And the chef Mo came to our table and very friendly! It's definitely a place you will want to repeat!

Bruncharcuterie Board - zesty pimento, honeyed brie and cinnamon sugar trio

This was such a wonderful find! The atmosphere is great, very relaxing. The service was wonderful and the food was amazing!! The cheese grits are absolutely the best grits I've ever had - with 6 of us in our party we were able to share them, as well as the Bruncharcuterie boards we had (honeyed brie, zesty pimento and the cinnamon sugar trio). We enjoyed it so much we went back a second time and we were greeted by the owner and treated like old friends! We tried some different menu items (though we had to get those grits again!!) and everything was fantastic! If you are looking for a nice breakfast place in St A you need to go here; it was fantastic and it will be a regular stop every time I'm in St A.

A very interesting experience! The food was great but the service was meh. My friend has a gluten allergy so she had to send back her hummus (it had crackers) but it took like 15 min for the hummus to come out. I guess the chickpeas take some time to mash up. Also there were many open tables but the wait was 30 min to get a table. I liked that they offered the menu on little tablets and I liked the inside decor of the restaurant.

Excellent service and Excellent food. The food is served on a display board that allows sharing of the savory and the sweet.

This place is SUCH an upgrade from the old location! The restaurant is spacious, full of awesome decor, a huge wine cellar, and beautiful bar! I absolutely love this place!! Their brunch breakfast boards are tasty and reasonably priced for being in the middle of St Augustine. We also got their coffees, which were pretty tasty. Our server was absolutely hilarious and made the experience so much more enjoyable! And their menus are electronic and so cool! I was so impressed with this new place and the food was great! I would definitely recommend for brunch and drinks!!

Delicious, pretty busy-we ordered and by the time our food was ready a table became avail! Be prepared for a busy place and a little wait for food. Friendly staff!

Came here for brunch with my husband. Lovely restaurant. Food is served on wood boards and messages written on them. Service was very good our server was very funny. I ordered the French toast and sausage, and my husband ordered the steak and eggs. Our orders came combined in one board. Individual boards would have been cuter, I think. My French toast was a letdown. Tasted like toast with cinnamon Sprinkleed on it, and it was kinda cold. It didn't seem to be dipped in custard as I'm accustomed to. Big womp. My husband's steak eggs and potatoes were perfectly cooked and generous portion. I had a nice experience and glad I came. I would recommend this restaurant. And I'll order something different next time I visit.

Ham and cheese croissant and french toast. 10/10

Visited St. Augustine and found this gem by pure luck. I tried other "recommended" places around the small town, yet this one had the best food. I tried the French toast, and my partner tried the ham and cheese croissant, they were pretty tasty and both came in one long board (charcuterie board style) which made it easy to share. Have brunch and/or breakfast here over the other "popular" spots. Also service was amazing, but it was the same anywhere we went. Lastly, you can take cute pictures because the place has a nice clean ambience aesthetic.

Our first time stepping into Ancient City Brunch Bar in the heart of historic Saint Augustine didn't disappoint. From the moment you walk in, its cozy yet modern atmosphere, and had a welcoming vibe. Whether you're craving sweet or savory, there's something to satisfy every palate. The brunch board is a must-try, with delicious quiche, waffles topped with fruit, croissants, brie, crispy bacon, and empanadas. The staff is friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. Whether you're a local or just passing through Saint Augustine, be sure to add this brunch spot to your must-visit list.

Passing through the town and saw this place on tik tok had good brunch. We ordered eggs potatoes, bacon, croissant sandwich, and pancakes. The food was delicious. The food did take a while to make and there were only one other table there so not sure why food took so long. Otherwise such a cute little place to grab a bite if you're hungry!

    Do they take reservations?

No, it is walk in. First come first serve. If going on a weekend I'd suggest get there when they first open. It gets packed, and seating inside is very limited.

Everything is thoughtfully designed to create a cozy, welcoming environment, but the real highlight is, of course, the capybaras! Getting to observe and gently interact with these calm, friendly animals made the visit feel truly special and unlike anything else in the area. The staff was wonderful as well--kind, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the animals and guest experience. They made sure we felt comfortable, explained everything clearly, and helped make my wife's birthday feel extra special. What really sets the Capybara Café apart is how peaceful and joyful the whole experience is. It's not just a café visit--it's a memory you'll talk about long after you leave. Perfect for couples, families, or anyone looking for something truly different and meaningful. We couldn't have asked for a better birthday experience. We'll definitely be coming back!

This was not a very enjoyable experience for our party…read more.. My sister has always wanted to see capybara's up close, so this was the perfect experience for her! We fed them lettuce and kale, and were able to pet them. The young lady in the capybara room with us was very knowledgeable and gave us so much information! She was wonderful! What wasn't wonderful was the service for the rest of the visit... we arrived 5 minutes early, yet when we were being taken back to the room with the capybaras, the lady at the front desk told the other employees "yeah. The group that is late." Excuse me? We were on time? They have a little waiting room area with smaller animals such as small bunnies, ferrets, lizards, etc. My party was waiting for me to go to the restroom before we left, so they were looking at those animals in the waiting room. All of a sudden, they were told they need to get out and weren't allowed to be in there... who cares? There was NO ONE ELSE in there at the time... we had just paid $50 PER PERSON for 25 minutes with the capybaras. The LEAST you can do is let us look at the smaller animals for 5 minutes... In our room, there were 11 of us. They made $550 in 25 minutes. With a session every 30 minutes from 11 AM to 4:30 PM, they make roughly $5,000 alone for just the capybara experience. Not to mention the other $50 they charge people who want to see the more exotic animals. Again, the LEAST they could do is let us look at the lizards... We were not impressed with the experience whatsoever, by my sister was able to check off a bucket list item which is all I can ask for.
