I just came from Odd Birds at Villano and ordered Chicken Waffle for the first time and French toast which I order for my kid every time we go there. The food usually takes a while for us to receive and the longest I've ever waited before was 20 minutes. Today it took 40 mins for my food to be done and when I asked for it, I got an attitude back and the cook handed me my food with an attitude. No sorry for your wait or thank you. When I finally got my food, what a disappointment for an over prized chicken and waffle. Not only it's over priced, it did not taste good. The waffle was soggy and the chicken was not even crispy and it's a small portion. By the time I got my food my Latte was already too cold too drink. Had to take it home and microwave it because I don't want to ask for another one and take another 40 minutes to get it. Terrible food and service today. Do better!

I woke up craving a bacon, egg and cheese croissant, and thankfully, when I searched online this little spot which was really close to where we were staying, came up and they offered one. The croissant did not disappoint. It was very warm and delicious and satisfied my craving. We also enjoyed some different lattes from their menu, which were yummy and energizing. There's plenty of room for inside seating and there's a nice vibe if that's what you're looking for and there's also some outdoor seating as well. If it's nice outside, I would recommend that. Service was quick and very friendly. I definitely recommend if you're looking for a quick or casual breakfast/lunch option in Saint Augustine Beach!

Nice and eclectic! We spent some time here at New Year's and the drink menu is definitely unique. After a quite heavy dinner we were in for some Amaro and the bartender showed us his array. Quite impressive. Next time we're in town we will be spending more time here as there is a nice menu available. Very promising and a place that's very much at home in Saint Augustine.

I've been in Florida for a week now and every time I see a guava and cheese pastry I have to get it. The one I had at the Odd Birds Cafe was by far my favorite. It had just the right amount of filling with the perfect balance of cheese and guava. We also had an arepa plus the rice & beans bowl. They were both soooooo good. If you are in the area, definitely try it. Also, loved the kindness of the girl taking our order and offering suggestions.

We stopped at Odd Birds Cafe next to the Marina/Yacht Club, in St Augustine,as we were leaving our boat tour. Anyway, we like local places and thought we would eat our lunch there. Rosmilys assisted us. She was AMAZING! She assisted us with choosing our food, drinks, and gave us info about the place. She quickly put our order in. The food was wonderful!! I had beef empanadas. The best I have ever had. They looked great and tasted even better than they looked. Which is difficult to do since they looked so good. Mark ordered a Cuban sandwich, which he thoroughly enjoyed. While ordering I had also ordered a peach/creamy muffin. It was exceptional. Mark had ordered a cranberry muffin. I have to admit my muffin looked so good, and was so warm, we devoured it before our meals came. The Cafe itself, was quaint, and fun. The staff were right on top of everything. Rosmilys even made the muffins from scratch herself.

I love little Mom and Pop restaurants like this.

This is the kind of place I imagined for our trip to St. Augustine. A friendly Mom and Pop type restaurant with personality and great food. I had the Cafe con leche and a Breakfast Cuban sandwich, they were both delicious. I love the family vibe in this Cafe. I'm sure we will stop in again on our next visit.

Found this cafe for brunch on our 1st day in St Augustine. We walked in, there is only 1 table of people there. The space is not big, just few tables. You will need to order food at the counter, pay, then the staff will bring it to you. But they only use one time use utensils. Guess they are lack of manpower

Disappointing experience. The guy at the cashier was a bit rude. The Quesadilla was okay. Needed more seasoning & spice, but the worst was the Chia Coconut pudding. It was so bad I had to throw it out and it was expensive. I wish I could have taken it back but they were closed. For the rest of the day into the night my stomach was upset. Won't be going back to this place.

This is a quick breakfast service with plenty of delicious options! I had the French toast with blueberries and a pastelito and it was so yummy! It was comforting and so was the cafe con leche. There's plenty of seating and parking as well! Would come back again

    Grit Bowl and Iced Coffee.

They seemed to be short staffed, so I will give this place another try. The bathrooms were disgusting, and I think bathrooms tell a lot about a place. Iced coffee was made wrong.... Waaayy too much cream I couldn't even taste the coffee. Grit bowl was decent, nothing special. Has potential!

    Criollo Breakfast

Mad at myself for not coming here sooner! Had a cold Coquito that was great...wound up getting a hot one too because it was so good! The Criollo Breakfast was delicious and I would get it again. Friendly service and nice (but small) inside. Only "complaint" is my black beans weren't as warm as I would like them.

I guess that's why we sign the waivers! With that said, my kids loved this place. It was nice to hear their giggles and see my 5-year-old son basically get tackled by a caybara trying to get his lettuce. There are other animals in the experience, including a floppy ear bunny, a loud parrot (that bites so don't touch!) and a few other animals. They are great in keeping the kids distracted before the main capybara event. We had a really fun time.

We fed them lettuce and kale, and were able to pet them. The young lady in the capybara room with us was very knowledgeable and gave us so much information! She was wonderful! What wasn't wonderful was the service for the rest of the visit... we arrived 5 minutes early, yet when we were being taken back to the room with the capybaras, the lady at the front desk told the other employees "yeah. The group that is late." Excuse me? We were on time? They have a little waiting room area with smaller animals such as small bunnies, ferrets, lizards, etc. My party was waiting for me to go to the restroom before we left, so they were looking at those animals in the waiting room. All of a sudden, they were told they need to get out and weren't allowed to be in there... who cares? There was NO ONE ELSE in there at the time... we had just paid $50 PER PERSON for 25 minutes with the capybaras. The LEAST you can do is let us look at the smaller animals for 5 minutes... In our room, there were 11 of us. They made $550 in 25 minutes. With a session every 30 minutes from 11 AM to 4:30 PM, they make roughly $5,000 alone for just the capybara experience. Not to mention the other $50 they charge people who want to see the more exotic animals. Again, the LEAST they could do is let us look at the lizards... We were not impressed with the experience whatsoever, by my sister was able to check off a bucket list item which is all I can ask for.

There's always something new to explore, and Myth & Legend did not disappoint. It was actually recommended to us by another restaurant we were visiting, and we're so glad we stopped in. Their menu features one of the most creative selections of handcrafted coffees and matcha drinks I've ever seen. I ordered the peanut butter cold foam coffee topped with freeze-dried strawberries, and it tasted exactly like a PB&J sandwich in the best possible way. It was absolutely incredible. The atmosphere was welcoming, the drinks were thoughtfully crafted, and you can tell a lot of creativity goes into everything they do. I'd definitely come back again--hopefully next time when the oven is working so I can try that cheddar bagel toasted!
