We had an amazing experience at Roosevelt room! From entering with a warm welcome from the hostess to the delicious scratch kitchen breakfast everything was incredible. The restaurant is very pretty, open and feels comfortable. We had a wonderful server Jeanna, I recommend her. She was attentive and made great recommendations. We had the delicious eggs breakfast with sausage, toast and biscuit. They also have home made peach butter - you should definitely try it. Next time I'm in St. Agustine I will return. I urge you to try this place. If yelp had 10 stars this would get it.

Had a great experience with a six top for brunch. All our meals came out together and our server and other staff worked hard to ensure our drinks came out Ina timely fashion. I enjoyed my corned beef hash. The duck fat fingerling potatoes were a big highlight of the meal. Would definitely come back to sample more. As everyone was happy with their choices as well.

Brunch at The Roosevelt Room was such a great experience. The staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly from the moment we walked in. While there was a bit of a wait, it was absolutely worth it. The venue is gorgeous, with beautiful scenery that makes it feel special. It definitely seems like the kind of place you would want to rent for a wedding dinner. I ordered the seasonal mocktail, which was a lime based drink and really refreshing. For food, I had the triple mushroom sandwich with a poached egg on top. The egg was done perfectly, the sourdough had just the right crunch, and the aioli was packed with flavor. Highly recommend for a relaxed and lovely brunch with friends. I am already looking forward to going back.

We had brunch here after a recommendation from the staff at our hotel. What a great recommendation! When you first walk in you are warmly greeted and the interior is stunning with a beautiful chandelier and sprawling staircase. Our server, Kelly could not have been sweeter; this is true southern hospitality at it's best! My go-to breakfast is French toast; their French toast brulee is some of the best that has crossed my lips. It starts with fresh sourdough bread then stuffed with vanilla cream cheese and peach melba and topped off with orange blossom honey. I'm drooling just writing about it! My husband had an omelet and thought it had mediocre flavoring. If only this place was closer I'll eat here once a week.

I had a great experience here on Valentine's day! The atmosphere was very classy and what I wanted for a special dinner. Staff were all very nice. The food was very yummy as well! I would also like to note that it was handicap accessible and plenty of space for a wheelchair which is sometimes hard to find in St. Augustine. Will definitely be returning for special date nights.

Awesome food & service! The food was fresh and came out quickly. Best short rib I've had in St. Augustine so far! The waitress recommended coming back for brunch.

Wanted to try this place out as it looked interesting. At first, I thought it was a little pricey. However, the portions were generous and so worth the price . Belle our server was an added bonus. All-around Great experience! Highly recommend!

What a great way to start the day! I highly recommend the Birria Breakfast Tacos. They were so delicious. The meat was juicy and the eggs weren't dry. We had great service and it was a relaxed atmosphere. I love that that they had breakfast options that weren't just omelets.

While in St Augustine check out the Roosevelt Room for brunch. Great friendly service from all, especially from Kelly . Beautifully decorated space with exposed brick and what looks like origonal ceiling tiles. Chandeliers beautiful bar. Very relaxed and you feel like you are stepping back in time.

Was in St. Augustine for a work conference and came here for brunch during a break. I was by myself so I sat at the bar, and was immediately greeted by a wonderful waitress. I ordered the Croque Madam and cheese grits, and loved the flavor of the Croque Madam! The cheese grits were delicious as well, but was so full on the sandwich! This place feels casual during the day, but could definitely trend to more of an upscale place during the evening.

This place is a "Wow" for me. The decor is beautiful, flowery and quite feminine, the food is "Scratch-Kitchen" and comes to the table like culinary art and tastes as good as it looks. I chose a Brisket Ranchero which gave me a masculine vibe with a delicate touch. I could eat this meal every day. Great flavor and seasoning, tender brisket with a perfectly cooked egg on top, guacamole and covered in diced tomatoes with pickled onion meticulously placed on the plate. It's a stand-alone award winner. The seasonal quiche with the side of salad is exactly what I'd expect from a rooted-in-history fine European restaurant recommended from the Michelin Guide. The staff is very pleasant and professional. The restaurant is a classy ball-room feel with brick walls giving it a classic look and chandeliers adding a touch of glamour. Flower-covered handrails to a second floor seating area add to the "Ritzy" decor and elegant appearance. My highest recommendation!

The owner renovated the inside so that it's got modern amenities and sleeps six people comfortably. The first time we visited the place, it was like an awakening. It was the PERFECT place for my husband and I to get have our wedding. Of course, we had 85 guests, so the ceremony had to be elsewhere, but this was perfect for the reception. It was the perfect size for everyone to move around freely and still have a small dance floor. Also the price is crazy good. You will NOT find a more reasonable deal in town. Bring in your own vendors and you can create a fabulous wedding on a modest budget. I'm not just saying that because I am the proud bride. I'm saying it because it's a recession and fabulous doesn't normally come cheap. And I don't throw the word FABULOUS around breezily. I'm deadly serious. Anyway, you get the place in all it's charm for three days and two nights. Then you can rent it for an extra day for a good price. And really, you just have to get rid of your trash because they clean and do laundry for you. How is that not perfect? Go there because it made my very special day amazing.

When originally searching for a wedding venue we had a few must-haves, which included a location with historical character, in driving distance from Orlando, and located in a town where out-of-state visitors could enjoy exploring. And so we focused in on St. Augustine. I had a good gut instinct about the Sanchez House from the moment I discovered them online, and I must shamelessly admit that I stalked the websites of every couple who had their wedding at the Sanchez House. We quickly booked a visit to the Sanchez House, because they are only able to hold 12 weddings a year due to being zoned in a residential area. We met with the owner, Blake, who shared with us the history of the home, gave tips from other weddings held on the premise, and shared some of his favorite vendors. When we experienced the venue in person, we fell even more in love with the charm that was evident around every corner of the house! The SH offers a brick courtyard, artificial turf front lawn, large gathering room, dining room, kitchen, office, two bedrooms, small one-car garage, and an attic. Not only can you hold your wedding events at the house, but you are able to stay there, as well. This allowed us and our bridal party, 6 in total, to stay at the house. So convenient! After booking the Sanchez House, we decided to extend our celebration into an entire weekend. Our events spanned from 50 to 90 guests, and SH accommodates them comfortably. The house is in an excellent location by the bay and walking distance to historic St. George Street. At the SH, we were able to select our own vendors. We held our ceremony in the courtyard which transformed to the dance floor. The front lawn was donned with a heated tent and tables on the coldest Florida winter day. It even snowed lightly! Guests had the chance to mingle throughout the house in the dining room, gathering room, and balcony. I would note that the parking around the SH can be challenging, but we gave plenty of parking options for guests through our wedding website and social media, and suggested our guests to stay at one of the nearby hotels or bed & breakfasts. I highly recommend the Sanchez House for any couple looking for an intimate St. Augustine venue!

The tour guide said there were ghost in this home so my heart was racing , I'm glad I did not feel one or see one . About this oldest home González-Álvarez House Historic house in Florida, United States The González-Álvarez House, also known as The Oldest House, is a historic house museum at 14 St. Francis Street in St. Augustine, Florida. With a construction history dating to about 1723, it is believed to be the oldest surviving house in St. Augustine. It is also an important example of St. Augustine's Spanish colonial architectural style, with later modifications by English owners. It was designated a U.S. National Historic Landmark in 1970. The house is now owned by the St. Augustine Historical Society and is open for public tours as part of the Oldest House Museum Complex. Evidence can be seen of the Spanish, British, and American occupations of St. Augustine. The González-Álvarez House is located in a residential area south of downtown St. Augustine, on the north side of St. Francis Street between Charlotte and Marine Streets. It is a two-story structure, its first floor built of coquina and its upper level framed in wood with a clapboarded exterior. It is covered by a hip roof finished with wooden shingles. The building is reflective of multiple periods of alteration and enlargement, during different periods of colonial administration. The land on which this house stands has been occupied since the 17th century, when a building is documented to have been standing here. The present house's earliest period of construction dates to about 1723, when the first floor was built, and it was documented as being occupied by Tomás González y Hernández, an artilleryman at the Castillo de San Marcos, and his family. The design of this house is one that was adopted by Spanish colonial settlers to deal with local living conditions and available building materials. It was built of readily available coquina limestone, with its main thick walls oriented east-west, and has an open covered loggia on the east side. The latter allows prevailing southeasterly winds to cool the structure, while the thick walls provide insulation from hot weather. The interior floors are made of tabby concrete. After the British took over Florida in 1763, the González family left for Cuba. In 1774 the house was purchased by Major Joseph Peavett, an Englishman, who added the wood-frame second story, and put glass windows into openings previously only enclosed by wooden shutters. It was further enlarged by the third owner, Geronimo Alvarez, who added a two-story wing built of coquina. The house was taken over by the St. Augustine Historical Society in 1918, which undertook its restoration to a late 19th-century appearance in 1959-60, reversing a number of intervening alterations.
