Didn't come here for food but our table neighbors said the food here is great! We came here for a couple drinks! Drinks: 10/10 I got a Strawberry Magic hard cider and my husband got a Negro Modelo. While the drinks were great and they had a HUGE variety, the service is what made this experience better! Service: 10/10 The bartenders/servers (they do everything all in one!) were absolutely fantastic, literally had a million jokes to pass around and had us laughing the whole time. Super cute, local beer bar around St. George Street in downtown St. Augustine. We could not get into the restaurant we wanted, and this place had plenty of seating. The motif is that of a local beach bar with a den and metal advertisement plate feel (see pics). My cousin had a salad, which she liked a lot. I had a BLT, but it was missing the tomato. It still tasted delicious. They seemed to be out of alot of things including the sangria that was listed but the bartender (also our waiter) was so pleasant and made me his own version of which I could have drunk plenty more. I'm not a beer drinker, but it appeared that they had a variety to offer, and many of the patrons present seemed to be locals having fun and drinking beer. While I wouldn't come here for a full meal, it's definitely worth a stop to rest your heels, have a nice drink, and enjoy non stuffy l ambience and service. read more

We stopped in for dinner before touring Nights of Lights. I had the three cheese grilled cheese which was toasted perfectly. My son had the Reuben and the Groovy Juice IPA. We were a bit disappointed that there were so few beers on tap. The selection in the coolers was pretty good, however. Unfortunately, the owner prohibits customers from opening cooler doors to actually look at what they may purchase. It is impossible to look at the back of a can to see, for example, the ABV, type of hops or any other notes the brewer thought might be of interest. Service was not too friendly but was, I suppose, "acceptable" for a tourist destination. It's not a "warm and comfortable" type place. Would we go back? No. Too much competition. The Rendezvous is a bit off the beaten track, but it's worth a stop in to quench your thirst. We stopped in for a cold one while walking around the area. While they say they have 260 different beers, there were only 6 on tap. Service was good, and we were quickly served 2 from the taps. They have food to offer, but we were only there for a beverage. If you like beer they have a huge variety both on tap and in a bottle. Since it is a German restaurant there are many German beers and German food. The meals will run you about $12-$20. There is no kids menu. We ended up ordering drinks and a meat and cheese tray which we all enjoyed including our daughter. McKinley was our waitress. She was fantastic! You are greeted by friendly staff Jason, if I remember well was keen to explain various beers. I selected a few top notch beers. One call La Fin du Mond from Canada. I had it on a cruise recently and absolutely loved it. All three Ales. 2 were 9% and the third a 13%. Enjoyed Cordon Bleu paninis and Kozmic chicken panino. Also a pretzel. Prior to it, all 6 of us had a great time and an attentive bartender...it was a 3-3.5/5 experience but upping it due to pandemic times. To drink, I sampled an Orange Blossom Pilsner from an Orlando brewery and hubs sampled an 81Bay Moscow Mule Beer × 2. We both were happy and ordered full sizes. I am a Porter/Stout girl - loved that the Pilsner was exactly as described & my hubs said 81Bay Moscow Mule was decent - it was a mixture of beer with a hint of Moscow Mule, so the ratio of Moscow Mule didn't overpower the beer flavor - original concept & different! They have plenty of seats indoors w/booths + tables. Also, food is available and 6 rotating draft beers & plenty of other beer options - this place does have the name BEER in it after all. Best part is that I ordered a Black Widow Cider and got a Styrofoam cup to pour it in - it's legal to take an alcoholic beverage with you while walking downtown St. Augustine! Located in St Augustine we visited this place back in February 2020...we were looking for a place with good alcohol which this place definitely has looking at the pictures I've posted. They have a humongous variety of beer from all around the world which was a big plus. However I was disappointed in our food...we ordered sandwiches of roast beef but they weren't big at all and cost $10-$11 for a mediocre portion. We were still hungry but had to get pizza from elsewhere. I've been going to this bar for several years each time I go to our family condo! I love bragging on the wide selection of beers and the atmosphere.
