Great service and food! I would absolutely come back when I return to St Augustine! The Bloody Mary was one of the best I've had too!!

Breakfast this morning. Ben took excellent care of us. The place was busy but still plenty of seating and parking out front. Wife had a short stack with sausage. I had their breakfast combo - 2 pancakes with bacon and eggs. All very yummy. We have left overs. Yep friendly staff and good food. 5/5

I stopped by Connolly's this morning for breakfast and was thoroughly impressed. I'm just visiting the area, so I've never been. My server, Robin, was super sweet and confirmed that my decision to order the lobster benedict was indeed a good one. In addition to the options on the menu, they also had a handful of specials available. The lobster benedict was excellent. The sauce was rich but not overwhelming and just overall delicious. I also really enjoyed the ambiance. It was somewhat industrial but also super cozy.

    their hot sauce was incredible.

the food. the service. i was blown away!!! it gave a family owned feel but i really enjoyed our time on the patio with pups. they were an absolute hoot. the breakfast sando. the fries. the home fries (omg) the meat lovers omelette. they even had their own hot sauce & that was phenomenal. my new go to breakfast spot when i visit st. aug! highly recommend visiting :) kindly, GTB

Lobster Benedict super yummy, holindaise was nice. They let me try their sausage gravy and it was proper.

Overall 5 stars, locals and regulars. Lobster Benedict was yummy, sampled sausfae gravy and it was proper. I see why it is a locals favorite. My only downside is eggs were like 30 seconds over so they didnt run but I ate it all and potatoes were salty but that could be my personal palette.

We tried this cute breakfast spot in St Augustine and it was very good. Prices were reasonable and the staff was very friendly. It is a bright place on the inside with a lot of choices on the menu. We tried the eggs Benedict, create your own omelette, veggie omelette, and a breakfast combo with bacon. Tea and juice were very reasonably priced as well, and all the food portions were quite large. We were heading to the St Augustine Lighthouse and we were full for several hours while there. This is a great spot for breakfast or brunch. They close early so get in by lunchtime if you want to try them!

Had a fantastic Ladies lunch here today! Service was excellent! Food was great quality and tasty. Everyone enjoyed their meal and said they'd return! Clean bathrooms. Owner, Trish stopped by and chatted with us too! Highly recommend.

Yum! Seriously so happy to find a breakfast place that has not only gluten free pancakes but GLUTEN FREE FRENCH TOAST AND WAFFLES!!!! Clyde was our server and did a great job! They have real maple syrup (just ask for it). The gf French toast was absolutely delicious!! The gluten eater in the group enjoyed French toast as well. Super cute place, terrific service and delicious food. Well worth the drive!

Had to check out of our beach condo by 10 am so we decided to grab breakfast here on our way out of town. Inside had cute diner decor with outside seating available as well. Our party of seven was seated immediately. Staff were friendly and the service was quick. Breakfast menu had both sweet and savory choices. Kids went with a chocolate chip pancake and French toast served with the most perfectly crisped bacon. I had a breakfast sandwich with absolutely delicious toasted potatoes on the side. Everything hit the spot.

Excellent place for breakfast! Small family owned place and they put their heart and soul into every part of the business. Andrew was our server again and he was superb!

Excellent service, food was a miss today due to staff shortage. It was a fun and enjoyable environment. Our food took about 50 minutes to come out of the kitchen. We waited and asked the server several times. I believe there was 1 cook today and others called out of work. The restaurant was filled with lots of people enjoying St. Patrick's Day here. There was live music and all the staff were dressed to celebrate. Unfortunately, half the food on each plate was overcooked or burnt. The other half was good. I would have gave less stars but the service was so good and everyone was so friendly. I hope if we come back we would get to enjoy this restaurant at its best.

Amazing hearty breakfast. Veggie omelette was loaded. Grits (not pictured) were the perfect consistency. Pancakes were scrumptious, soft with crispy edges. I'd come back here any day of the week! Great quick service.

Our second encounter was for dinner a couple of hours after our first encounter and even at 8:30PM there was still a wait. We actually ate outside at one of the booths where its first come first serve. This time we just had a couple of beers each along with our entrees. I had the Seafood Combo which was trigger fish & shrimp (blackened) with 2 sides (fresh greens beans & cole slaw). Blackened is apparently just burnt without flavor. The cream sauce didn't help. The collard greens I took one bite and that was it. Just nothing to it. The beans and rice was ok. Coconut shrimp was too sweet with the pina sauce. Just ok. Kids loved the kraft Mac and cheese. And the burger was very bland. Nice bun though. The key lime pie was sweet but the crust was good. We ordered the redfish special, which was blackened Redfish, topped with crawfish étouffée, served over a grit cake. Everything on the plate worked together perfectly, and the fish was cooked just right. We also had the homemade chips with salsa and beer queso. The queso isn't your typical Mexican-style queso, so don't go in expecting that. It's a rich, flavorful beer queso, and I actually really enjoyed the different twist. The inside is just as impressive with it's "oil and gas" theme, it's rather small but we were able to get seated without a wait even though it was nearly filled. The staff here was very inviting and attentive, the menu is also themed and fairly priced, we ordered "The Ford Galaxie" two eggs your way, a choice of meats, choice of toast or biscuits and home fries or grit - although the winner here in my opinion is the coffee it's delicious, strong and robust. Unfortunately everything here wasn't perfect the "West Creek Whipped Spread Butter Blend" is an abomination, it ruined everything we put it on, my bad for not asking for real butter after applying it to my toast, my grits and the English Muffin we ordered, it was inedible to the point we left everything on the plate this stuff touched it wasn't refrigerated as suggested on the label I'm guessing. I usually eat only real butter so what was I thinking - so my dilemma is how do I review this place fairly based on that stuff and the fact it ruined our food since we loved everything else. The combination of imaginative cocktails, exceptional food, and a unique atmosphere makes every visit memorable. The cocktail program is outstanding. We enjoy trying a variety of their exotic and inventive drinks, and they never disappoint. The flavors are bold, creative, and unlike anything you'll find at a typical restaurant bar. The Yellow Submarine cocktail is quite possibly the best drink I have ever consumed. Made with curry-infused Bermuda black rum, lime, ginger, and Asian five-spice brown sugar syrup, it sounded unusual on paper but came together beautifully. I enjoyed it so much that I ordered four of them that evening, something I rarely do. That was three years ago, and despite returning several times since then, I have never seen it on the menu again. The food is equally impressive. Two years ago, I ordered the Skillet Roasted New York Strip served with Yukon Gold potato-anna, roasted asparagus and spring onions, watercress, and black truffle hollandaise. To this day, it remains one of the top five restaurant meals I have ever eaten. Every component on the plate was exceptional. The steak was perfectly prepared, the crispy potato galette was irresistible, and the black truffle hollandaise elevated the entire dish to another level. It was the kind of meal that stays with you long after the plate is cleared. I would gladly drive 300 miles just to eat it again. Most recently, I had the wild mushroom bisque, and it was the best soup I have ever consumed. Rich, creamy, buttery, intensely mushroomy, and perfectly balanced, it was everything a mushroom soup should be. The addition of crispy pickled onions and crème fraîche added texture and contrast that made an already outstanding soup even better. My wife and I enjoyed it so much that we returned the very next day hoping to order it again, only to discover it had already rotated off the menu. My only complaint about The Ice Plant is that some of their greatest creations seem to disappear as quickly as they arrive. While I appreciate the constantly evolving menu and understand that seasonal changes are part of what makes the restaurant special, there are certain items that deserve a permanent home. The Yellow Submarine cocktail, the wild mushroom bisque, and the Skillet Roasted New York Strip with black truffle hollandaise are three of the finest things I have experienced there. The fact that I can vividly remember one of these items from three years ago and another from two years ago says everything. Great restaurants serve good food. Truly special restaurants create dishes and drinks that stay with you for years. The Ice Plant has done that for me more than once, and that is why we continue to return whenever we visit St. Augustine.

Antique, rustic, comfortable, and full of enough character that you almost feel like you've stepped 200 years back in time. Then the drinks arrive, and suddenly you realize you've been transported into the future of cocktails. I wish I could remember the name of the drink I ordered because it was spectacular. Whiskey, a little sweetness, mint, and crushed ice. That's about all I can tell you. What I can tell you is that I could have happily consumed about 30 of them, tumbled down the stairs, and been perfectly happy about the whole experience. My wife went with the Mojito, and it was brilliantly constructed. The crushed ice and layered mint made it look almost too good to drink. Almost. The drinks absolutely deserve five stars. Then came the blue crab beignets, and they were spectacular. That's the kind of appetizer that makes you stop talking for a minute because everyone at the table is too busy enjoying what's happening. Unfortunately, the rest of the food didn't quite live up to the cocktails. The fish dip was very average and lacked much flavor, and the menu itself felt pretty limited. So here's the deal: if you're coming to The Ice Plant for drinks, I would have no problem giving it five stars. The cocktails are that good. This is a highly recommended stop for a drink in St. Augustine. But I have to review the entire experience, and the limited menu and average fish dip bring the overall experience down a notch. Four stars. Come for the drinks. Stay for the atmosphere. Definitely order the blue crab beignets. And if you happen to find yourself three cocktails deep, admiring the antique decor while contemplating the stairs, maybe just take your time.
