Menu June 2026
Edward A.

Wonderful experience for our anniversary dinner. The last time I was here, this was The Preserved and we loved it. We had heard and read a lot of good things so we decided to give La Nouvelle a try. Very quaint and well appointed dining area - bistro vibes. They have a wrap around outside patio as well as part of their dining area but it's June in Florida so we made reservations for inside to not take any chances. The menu isn't huge, so check it out before deciding to dine here as I believe it can change regularly. My French onion soup was fantastic. If you don't order the petite baguettes, you're doing yourself a disservice. This is probably a top 3 bread experience for me. Crusty airy perfection. I went with the duck confit as I don't have many opportunities to order such a dish with the places we dine. The execution was solid - crispy and tender, flavorful, and accompanied by duck fat potatoes and red wine braised grapes. Extensive wine options along with beer but no liquor license. Our server Jessie was friendly and attentive while not overbearing.

We visited this establishment for a Father's Day brunch. Quite often, in Saint Augustine, it is difficult to find parking close to a great restaurant, but lucky for us, La Nouvelle has its own parking lot! (This is exciting for someone who is all this stressed out about parking, lol) We made reservations the morning of the branch and we were able to be accommodated. We were promptly seated when we arrived. Our server, Nina, was polite, attentive and patient with all our questions. She even gave us advice when we asked about some local areas to go check out after the meal. We sat indoors, though they were available outdoor options for seating. The decor was well done and seems pretty classy. The food was fantastic! We tried the deviled eggs, raw oysters with datil hot sauce, and escargot. I tried one of the off menu omelette selections, which was expertly made. We also tried the bouillabaisse and Branzino. Everything was cooked to perfection. We also tried the lavender crème brûlée, pot de creme and Paris -Brest. We thoroughly enjoyed those desserts! I will highly recommend this restaurant for a date night or special occasion. The quality of the food was excellent, and as such, I will return.

The Royale Cheeseburger

Beautiful, classy interior with a more relaxed garden area outside. I stopped in before a concert and was blown away -- the Royale Cheeseburger is easily the best cheeseburger in all of St. Augustine. Plenty of parking, which is a huge plus. Margaret was an awesome server and walked me through the menu with genuine care. Great spot all around.

Perfection. Everything was flawless. Making reservations was easy. We were warmly greeted upon arrival. I was presented with complimentary champagne as I was celebrating my birthday. Our server was knowledgeable, friendly and really elevated the entire experience. Our food was beyond delectable. Highly recommend the Escargot and Steak Tartare. The best I've ever had. We sat on the beautiful wraparound porch. I was delighted that it was a gorgeous December day and enjoyed the warmth of that Florida sunshine. I did peak inside on my way to the spotless restrooms and made note that the interior dining area is stunning as well. I will always opt to sit outside but on a day when the weather is uncooperative I would be just as happy sitting inside this historical gem. I ended my meal with a chocolate croissant that I regrettably did not snap a picture of. That was the perfect ending to this unforgettable meal. I reserve my 5 star ratings for restaurants like this for a reason. So that the great restaurants can shine above the good. Can't wait to go back!

Quiet day for brunch. Most of the people were sat outside on this sunny day but was sat inside and it was fine. Service was great for the most part. There was some longer waits for things needed at times but it was ok They use the freshest ingredients so that was a nice touch. The truffled deviled eggs were tasty. The tuna nicoise salad looked appealing but with such huge chunks it needed to be cut up into smaller pieces. It was a knife and fork salad for sure. The brunch special - crispy potato hash with eggs, sub shrimp for pork and extra thick hollandaise sauce with a side salad. It was good, especially the potato part It was a nice setting in an old Victorian house. Small seating but nicely done with a large porch

My review is short and concise 5 stars for food, service, ambiance, and wait time!!!!

La Nouvelle is the highest rated restaurant we've visited. The service is among the highest. The food is amazing and the restaurant is historical. -The service is, without a doubt, top notch. Servers are very attentive to needs, from making sure comfort is priority to ensuring you're prepped for presenting the meals. -The food we chose was Lobster Bisque and French Onion soup. Both have superior flavor and presentation. The Filet was cooked to perfection and has a tenderness with a pristine cooked-in seasoning. The "Pot de Crème", my new favorite desert. A cute little desert container with chocolate crème topped with a creamy white fluffy topping. It has rich flavors that I will not soon forget. -The restaurant is a finely restored historical sight from the "Daughters of the American Revolution" visited by prominent figures from our American culture. This unique discovery with French cuisine is at the top of my list with my utmost recommendation.

The food was absolutely dreamy. I love steak tartare and this one finally unseated my favorite for the past 5 years. Even the French fries were cooked and seasoned to perfection. Highly recommend cannot go wrong with anything on the dinner menu! We sat on the patio and were very comfortable with the heaters and provided blankets (:

Brunch with the girls! No reservation and we were seated immediately, we did get there a little after 11am. We had baguettes with butter and radishes and olive fir starters. Three cocktails- all good I had the peach Bellini not sure what the others drank. For lunch we had onion soup- told it was so so. Steak fritte delish and duck confit- also yummy. We had a chocolate pudding type dessert, lavender crème brulle and macarons- all good. Nice atmosphere. Inside and outside dining. We weren't sure where the entrance was- look for the restaurant name on the building which faces the parking lot and head that way. Above and adjacent is an air bnb. I would definitely go back. Staff was very nice.

Visited Saint Augustine for a week and we experienced every fine dining restaurant. We were so lucky to finish our last night here at La Nouvelle, because it simply knocked everywhere else out the water. The house is beautiful and has historical significance but the ambience on the patio was just charming. We were seated quickly and the kitchen adjusted to any allergies we had. The famous chef went to culinary school in France, and it showed. Every dish had the perfect temperature, and extraordinary flavor palette, was presented delicately and swiftly. Overall looking back everything paired so well together, and sat excellent on our stomachs. It was orchestrated phenomenally from start to finish. So much attention to detail. The local coffee in the French press was so good we ended up ordering it online at the table. If they sold their desserts I would've taken all of them to go! We ended up taking more bread and butter for the road, because I knew I wouldn't sign bread this soft and crunchy for a long time. Not ashamed to admit that I ate the rest of the butter by spoon. This was a meal that I will remember and recommend! Well done chef! Extra notes: they also offer a chef special, which if you order the entire table must order. The French onion soup marinate for days and onion simply dissolve in your mouth, it's a must try. They have an excellent meat selection for the entrées but we wanted something light so we could eat more, and the fish was an excellent choice.

Walking in, I loved the vibes! It gave modern tiki bar feeling, it was clean and felt very warm and inviting. We sat at the bar and was greeted by the bartender and a very extensive and beautiful leather bound menu! I loved that haha! They had everything from classic tiki drinks, to modern, to drinks by liquor type, etc. It had the food menu, some information about the bar and how it came about. We ordered a few drinks: Bushido Rhapsody (DELICIOUS), Stars & Sarsaparilla (husband liked it) and their currently rotating tiki drink - Escape from Black Mountain, which serves 2 and is served in a cool mug of the bust of Pedro Menendez. You can purchase it as well! It was so good and felt never ending between the 2 of us drinking it. For food we ordered a couple of apps - Cajun Chicken Eggrolls and the Montenegro Meatballs. Both were fantastic!! If we didn't already have dinner plans, we would have stayed here for dinner! Definitely will be coming back here next time we are in town and every time after that!

I had maybe the most bibimbap of my life here, and that includes contenders from a number of restaurants in the Atlanta area. It was truly perfect. $8 for adding tofu (maybe 1/4 block lmao) is one of the funniest things I've ever seen financially, but hey it's a tourist area and it was absolutely made with skill & care, so I wasn't even mad. Seriously, I wanted to hug whoever cooked it. It is so worth it. Everyone else at my table was thrilled with what they got - burrata sandwiches and a fish sandwich. Not a good beer selection, it's very cocktail focused. Not my thing but yeah I will absolutely be back anytime I am in this wonderful city. This is not one to skip

What a great chillin' spot!…read more Whether you want to take a load off to relax with a drink or two...have a meal or grab a light bite, this place ticks all the boxes! The service is always great, prices are fair and the food is always good. The atmosphere is pretty chill and the views of St. Augustine are cool from this side and different. Sunsets are pretty spectacular from here as well. Most of the time you will find they have entertainment too. It's the perfect place to wind down after a long day or just chill out in the middle of the day. There is plenty of parking, and the trolleys stop here! They have indoor and outdoor seating. I am happy to say they offer a uniformed and/or military discount (with proof of ID)---thank you for this! Of course, The Cellar Upstairs is located upstairs of the San Sebastian Winery. All you have to do is enter the Winery, then make an immediate right to go upstairs via the elevator. Note: The only downside is the hours. The hours have changed quite a bit these past few years. Every business needs to do what is best for them I suppose...I get it. But there are two sides to The Cellar Upstairs and the opposite side (you'll know what I mean when you visit) is now only open on the weekends...bummer...it's such a lovely space. You can still go out there to check it out though. Plus, the days they are open are limited as well. Make sure to check the hours before you go on their website.

Then she screamed at my daughter looking at an umbrella. Talk about anger issues! This shop was the exact opposite experience. I was greeted upon walking in, offered assistance to pick out wine and the owner engaged with my daughter. I was so much happier to spend my money here vs Fort Alley. I ended up getting some Italian reds, a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc and some wines from my Paso Robles in Southern California, one of my favorite wine regions. I was hoping to get some Prosciutto but the shop was all out. The shopkeeper explained there was a rush from customers and she didn't get her regular order in. It was completely understandable. And appreciated her sharing why it wasn't available rather than being dismissive like at the previous wine shop I was at over at Fort Alley. I am so glad I came to this shop.
