Pesca Vilano Rooftop offers a variety of tapas entrees. We heard the service would be slow but that was not what we experienced. Service was timely and pleasant. Vegas Grey was the entertainment and their voices along with selection of songs made us stop, listen and enjoy. The cocktails are displayed in ornamental glassware. The food was delicious. Try it out!!

    Let the birthday festivities begin!

I visited Pesca Vilano (rooftop) for the second time a few weeks ago. I took my sister for her birthday prior to our Red Boat sunset tour. We took the elevator up to the top floor. It had just rained so the hostess wiped down out seats and table before we were seated. The view was amazing! We could see St Augustine's Harbor on one side and the Atlantic Ocean (Vilano Beach) on the other side. And there was still a nice breeze from the recent storm. We started with drinks. I ordered the grapefruit guava tequila seltzer and my sister ordered a fruity drink lol. And we had happy hour prices so it was a good night;) We ordered several happy hour food menu items. We started with the chicken sliders and braised shortrib empanadas. My sister's favorite was the sliders and mine was the empanadas. However both were yummy! The chicken was fried and the pimento cheese made it next level! But the short rib meat was so decadent and delicious! One of the best empanadas I've ever tasted! Our last order consisted of firecracker shrimp and chicken sliders. As I said it was my sister's favorite and it was her birthday so she got to pick. The firecracker shrimp was good but probably my least favorite of the three we tried. Not because it didn't taste good but because shrimp is my least favorite seafood. Our server was great and he checked on us regularly. We had a great time and I will definitely be back!

First night at St Augustine and heard about the roof top and happy hour at Villano. So we came to taste and spend time before dinner somewhere else. The waiter didn't know what they had for happy hour (small plates) and He did the diligence but couldn't find menus with it. He mentioned a couple of stuff and we ordered the shrimps, they didn't have cheese empanadas (although someone right next to us ordered and got it): the firecracker shrimp was ok, the brie..we could do without, no brief flavor at all (we always do grilled brie at home) and a margarita Best thing : they charged full price for 2 items that were i. The happy hour. We don't care about paying but the service...nah

Beautiful view. Had an appetizer that was good. Live music good service. Rates at hotel were good. Points are great if you're a Hyatt regular.

Friday night party of 4 Beautiful evening for sitting outdoors at the rooftop bar. They had a wonderful group providing the music making the whole experience that much more. My previous experiences have had extremely slow service but not tonight. Everything was on point. We were approached with waters @10 min or less of our seating. Server approached us & we put in our drink AND food order based on past experience . Both came out super quick. Our group ordered a bunch of small plates to share including guacamole, fish dip, spicy tuna tacos. Everything was delicious. My husband ordered fish tacos as a main & also some cheese croquettes. These were the only disappointment. They were round (barley ) fried balls with tasteless cheese inside. Everything else was great. The drinks were so good & came in some fun glasses. My husband's drink came in a fish glass. So cute! Overall, great music, excellent service and delicious food.

What a gorgeous spot to spend an afternoon. Loved the vintage vibe in this establishment with its Art Nouveau design and quality liquor selection. We were on Vilano Beach on holiday and met friends here for a drink and had an exceptional experience. The bartender was one of the best I've encountered, and I'm a bit of a (honestly big) craft cocktail boozer, so I've seen my fair share of great barkeeps, but this gal was so sweet and did an outstanding job with the smoked Old Fashioned I got for my husband. I had a Patron margarita and loved it. My experience at this bar has made me decide to stay in this Hyatt next trip to Vilano.

The image shows a rooftop area with a white parapet wall, several potted plants, and a clear view of the ocean in the distance. The sky is partly cloudy with scattered white clouds, and the scene includes some buildings and palm trees below the rooftop. The overall setting suggests a coastal location with a scenic view.

We realize this chefs other places and wanted to check this spot out. Rooftop dining! It is in a hotel and but really laid back and casual. Our server was so nice and offered great suggestions. We had some of the lumpia, crispy filipino style spring rolls, tamarind ponzu. Delicious! Light and fresh. Great views of the ocean from the high tops.

ocean view through potted plant - The image shows a rooftop with a spiky, grass-like plant in the foreground, accompanied by a solar-powered light fixture. In the background, rooftops of nearby buildings are visible, with the ocean and a partly cloudy sky beyond. The scene captures a coastal setting with a clear view of the horizon and natural elements.

How can anyone complain about a great rooftop bar & restaurant overlooking Vilano Beach? Coke made great cocktails, a pesca old fashioned with rum & whiskey and a mango caipirinha for the lady- not too sweet as promised. The breeze, supplemented by strategically placed fans, cooled the Florida afternoon. the incoming storm meant the sun was shielded partly by rain clouds. the ocean waves were white and foamy at low tide. the aroma from the kitchen was mouthwatering and the "simple" appetizers were taken next level under the expertise of local Chef Michael. fish dip topped with fresh micro greens and pickled onion paired perfectly with Everything flats and a squeeze of fresh lemon for me. Baked Brie with crisp baguettes was topped with fig jam the way we make it at home. just a perfect light lunch with our cocktails and ev n a view of St Augustine lighthouse through a fan!

Mushroom Gyoza - A white round plate holds several mushroom gyoza, garnished with fresh mint leaves and herbs. The gyoza are topped with a sauce and some crumbled ingredients, presented on a wooden table with a wine glass nearby.

I have so many thoughts about Pesca. We started on the roof for a few cocktails, prior to our dinner reservation. The rooftop is beautiful and we scored a wonderful table large enough for our group. I shared a bottle of the Prosecco with friends and a few other girls chose very fun cocktails! Cocktails we tried: Vilano Vixen, Mermaid Tears, and Flor de spina. All of them were fantastic but the Vilano Vixen was my favorite. For our dinner reservation, we had a lovely table. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful. We started with most of the starters. I personally had the mushroom gyoza. Holy smokes, it was fantastic!!! Honestly I liked it better than my entree. I also enjoyed the salmon, it was equally delicious. Several of us chose the scallops and one of the girls got a vegan risotto dish. It was packed with flavor. The scallops were good but for the price tag, I think we were expecting a little more flavor. However, We were very pleased overall with the aesthetic & presentation our meals. For dessert, we had the mousse and the peach. Both were very tasty, however paired with a very hefty price tag for dessert at $15 each without a serving that necessitates that cost IMO. The restaurant is stunning though! I will definitely come back for more rooftop cocktails & to try a different entree.

Would have given it 5 stars, but they lost our reservation, even though I got a "you're on the waitlist text". It took 45 minutes to be seated when we were told 25. Food was delicious, rooftop venue had beautiful vistas and overall it was a great experience. Will def go back!

Rooftop bar area, lots of seating, a bar, and great views

Pesca has a lot to offer here, with two distinct experiences depending upon your tastes. The upstairs rooftop bar area offers a lot of space, creatively prepared drinks and appetizers, and a beautiful view of the Atlantic. My wife and I enjoyed dinner at the main restaurant on the lobby level, and had a great time. The entrees were perfectly prepared, and I think I had the best seared scallops I've had in a long time. Service was excellent and the manager, Chelsea I came over to check on us periodically as well. Prices are reasonable for the area, and this is a higher-end restaurant despite being in a Hyatt place hotel. The vibe was engaging, with Spanish / Latin instrumental music in the background throughout the meal and the restaurant is wonderfully decorated. It was a terrific experience, and we'll certainly be back.

I don't understand how this place is still open. This is the food I received for dinner at Pesca back in May. It was supposed to be their baked chicken entree. (The red is from beets just to be clear). It was never remedied. The overall vibe of the staff reminds me of that of a high school. Their menu is way over priced including $7 for a Michelob Ultra. There isn't hardly anything on it. Don't go there to eat even if you have the money to waste on this terrible food!

You can't beat these rooftop views! Sure to be a St. Augustine hot spot! Located in the Hyatt Place Hotel in Vilano Beach. Bold Latin flavors with elevated global influence, decadent desserts and refreshing cocktails.

Service: Our waiter was attentive and timely without being overbearing. Food: Everything was amazing. We started with the bread service--the truffle butter was definitely the highlight (we didn't care too much for the ricotta spread). FYI: the little cubes that look like white cheddar are *not* cheese...I learned that the hard way by biting into a square of butter. For dinner, I had the cacio e pepe and he ordered the 100 lasagna. Portions were a bit smaller than expected, but honestly fine after filling up on bread. For dessert, we shared an affogato--the espresso wasn't burnt (which is surprisingly rare), so that was a big win. Overall: After the Resy credit, parking ended up costing more than the meal, which is kind of wild. Only downside was that there are just two restrooms, and there was a line when we went. We started with the bread appetizer, which came with several types of fresh bread and an incredible lineup of spreads like whipped ricotta, truffle butter, regular butter, and honey. They were cooked perfectly and served in a flavorful sauce with peppers that tied everything together. The balance between the sweet and spicy was so good. For my entree, I ordered the lasagna, and it was pure comfort. It reminded me so much of the classic lasagna I grew up eating, layered with rich Bolognese and a creamy bechamel sauce that made it feel both nostalgic and elevated. My boyfriend went with the steak (I believe it's a New York strip) and swapped a few of the sides to his liking. The steak was absolutely cooked to perfection, a beautiful medium rare. I may or may not have stolen about four bites... and yes, it was worth it..... We were way too full for dessert, but we did enjoy a bottle of wine with dinner which made the whole experience feel like the perfect date night. I'd be hard pressed to pick a favorite drink and it would be just as tough to pick a favorite off their small bite menu. We decided to try a few of the specials, it's a relatively simple menu but everything is filled with flavors that are incredible - the char-grilled oysters are plumb, fresh and unique in every way, the fried black grouper bites were crispy served with a delicious remoulade and a spicy jalapeño chimichurri that will light up your tastebuds, we also tried the jerk chicken thighs skewers and amazing crab empanadas filled with a curry concoction like no others. The fish sandwich I ordered was very bad and I couldn't get a member of staff's attention so left it uneaten. The Bad: Unfortunately, my most recent visit was entirely derailed by the service. We sat at the bar and the experience was frustrating. The female bartender (dark hair, glasses) repeatedly interrupted me while I was trying to order, and then got my drink wrong. When I tried to correct it, she literally walked away. My friend tried to order for me, but three bartenders were huddled together chatting and completely ignoring the patrons.
