We enjoyed an afternoon at the Spanish Food and Wine Festival and met Chef Michael. We were impressed with the showing at the event so we asked him with of his restaurants we should explore. In the seafood mood he recommended Pesca. We were not disappointed. Each dish was executed so well, every flavor could be tasted and nothing was over salted. Every dish was perfect. Natalie was amazing and guided us through the extensive wine program, very impressive offerings and variety. Her suggestion of Henriot champagne to go with our meal was a home run. Kayla offered phenomenal service. She provided outstanding recommendations and took great care of us the entire night. A true professional. The ambience and decor added to the night and we will certainly be back. For everything we had including a whole snapper (not pictured) our bill was almost the same as the night prior at an inferior place in Orlando with a lot less food and bland flavors so if you are wondering if Pesca is worth the cost .... Pesca is a great option if you are open minded to fusion style flavor pairings. We would happily splurge again and can't wait for a return visit. read more

Highly recommend this place for a date night with friends! We had such a great time. The service as well as the food was spectacular. We ordered a number of dishes and shared throughout the table. They need more bartenders and tell the bartenders to not be rude, if someone waves at them. Do not tell me I have other people ahead when I have been sitting there without a drink! The bartender with the flamingos on the roof top is rude! It's not ok that my friend got her Champaign in a wine glass and then got a Champaign glass that was dirty! I got my martini in a stemless wine glass! I get they were slammed but don't be rude! At some point come back to your customer! I got lucky and got one drink and no more. Pesca needs to streamline the menu and figure out the influence they are shooting for. All over the place. Chicken skewers were over cooked. The jerk mushroom dumplings were of little jerky, but full of grease. Try again. The lumpia could have been better. Just because something is fried does not make it taste good. First experience was a surprise when we approached the roof. Must see experience. Roof deck served amazing apps as well as hand helds. Christian at the bar was an amazing mixologist and social butterfly, but it was his service as well as management and back of house. Very reasonable especially from 3-6 where half price beverages come into a great time. Their menu was limited, but a wonderful experience. Multiple items shared between four of us gave us the whole experience of this restaurant. Prices are medium to moderate, but all worth the experience just from the hospitality the flavors of the food and the mixology. Try once, and as a resident, I will be back many times more. In town visiting family and had the chance to try this new place, so headed for the rooftop bar. We were there in the late afternoon and it was a foggy day, so the rooftop bar was quite quiet. The friendly hostess offered us our choice of seating and also mentioned there were blankets available if we got cold (not necessary but a welcome gesture). Our server came by quickly and offered us drinks, and promptly brought us cold beer with cold glasses. We ordered the Caribbean Bowl and the pork sandwich. Both were delicious. I'm a huge fan of raw fish dishes and the poke in the Caribbean Bowl was well marinated and a generous portion. The sandwich could have used just a little more flavor in the chimichurri (sp?) sauce but that's nitpicking--it was a good sandwich and the plantain chips were tasty. I'd definitely come back and hope they have room for us since I could see how this place would be jumping on a sunny day once people discover it. read more

I will start with..The only good thing about our experience was the service..... The food was the worst I have ever had served in a restaurant. The Lumpia came not only cold, but frozen inside. Twice. My daughter and I split the Lobster Paella. Barely warm. Lobster was dry, shrimp were overcooked and the calamari was undercooked and slimy. I couldn't bring myself to try the clams. My son in law had the Scallops. I tried a half of one. I would consider it undercooked. We all decided we should have left after Lumpia. We had been looking forward to a nice meal and a good time. We tried to grab a bite and drink on the rooftop patio terrace of this 'ahem' dog friendly hotel but were told we couldn't . Yay dog friendly hotel . It was late lunchtime so we fortunately could sit downstairs outside - opted to try a few smaller dishes . The cod 'fritters ' are an interesting take - thin, paper-thin but very tasty . The tuna tacos have a nice bit of spice but are very minimalist. If you're coming in hungry try something else . Glad we had the fish sandwich which was thick and juicy and a hot hit . Nice sweet tater fries too. No beer on tap ?! No beer list either - beer is free here I guess - no prices ! Yay free beer . Wonder why the wine and cocktails list have prices . Huh . We went there for lunch on a busy Friday afternoon. We were seated immediately. There were plenty of workers, all helpful and friendly. It was difficult to stay in our seats because the views are so spectacular. There is plenty of room to walk around and enjoy the views in every direction. The lunch menu was rather small but interesting. My husband ordered the smash burger and I had a grilled chicken with lots of crispy bacon and cheese. The seasonings and sauces on both sandwiches were perfect. They were served with plantain chips that were excellent. I've been here a few times. The ambiance is great, service is good, food is fine but small portions, but the drinks/cocktails are hands down probably the worst I've ever had in my life. A few friends and I all got different cocktails and they all tasted the same - like lemon water. I honestly don't think there was any alcohol in them. It makes me very happy to see a place like this succeed! Gem Caesar and hummus plates were great starters, all fresh and house made. Isabella was fantastic! We had such a delightful time and she had wonderful recommendations throughout the night. We felt like we were at her house dinner party with her suggestions and welcoming demeanor. The food was delicious! Usually I only take bites of dessert as I am more savory versus sweet but I couldn't stop eating the dulce de leche. This is an update, after second visit, this time to the rooftop. Service was A+. The rating was reduced to two stars now because of our disappointment with the two apps we ordered. First we ordered a "philippine spring roll", thinking it would be at least pescatarian with just shrimp or vegetarian as is usually the case when we order spring rolls anywhere else; of course, it was not, it was filled with a undefinable moosh/mush ...nothing like any spring roll I've ever had. It was more alike what might fill a beef or pork mexican flauta. I suspected it was a meat which was a problem for my pescatarian wife. Our mistake for not asking I guess, but really the description should include the filling, especially if it's pork. Also, as a meat eater, it was a pretty horrible mush, no texture, no presence of any fresh veggies like u usually get in a spring roll. Service was gracious in taking it back. Then I here a nearby table ordering "bacalaitos". I grew up eating that so I excited ordered. I'm pretty sure I've never been so disappointed in a plate put in front of me. They were over-cooked CHIPS. Any Puerto Rican knows would know what was on my plate was NOT bacailaito, nor was it any elevated version. Michael Lugo continues to miss the mark with dishes that have any connection to his Puerto Rican background. It's time for him to ELEVATE Puerto Rican Cuisine and stop replacing it with subpar creations; especially with the lack of a Puerto Rican restaurants in the area. read more

This place was lovely! We went at 5-7 and so we missed the loud music, but we really enjoyed the space. I recognize the place is newer (and we wish them the best) and that they are still potentially figuring things out, but we enjoyed our evening at Pesca. My party had the jerk mushroom gyoza and the calamari- both were lovely, a nice portion for sharing, and very tasty. Everyone enjoyed them! The main course- we had two pork tenderloins, a swordfish special, a Chilean sea bass, and then for the vegan, the beet tartare without cheese and a flatbread. The pros- everyone loved the taste of their food! It was beautifully presented, fresh, and all the entrees were wonderful. It seemed like a chef executed restaurant and you could see the professionalism in the service and presentation of the meal. The server (I didn't get her name!) was wonderful and attentive but not too attentive! The cons- the menu is very limited, and unfortunately, not very great for vegans/vegetarians/ people who like vegetables. I was informed before ordering the Mediterranean salad without feta that feta is the main ingredient of the salad, and that, in simple terms, it would be a very sad small bit of greens without it. However, our server went above and beyond to offer items from their lunch menu (a flatbread which was delicious!) and suggested the beet tartare which was actually incredible. So, not all cons, but something that wasn't super ideal. I would also note that the pork entrees were very inconsistent in size- one of our table's entree looked almost double the size of the other (which was quite small). The desserts we ordered were lovely, and the carrot cake bread pudding was generously portioned! If there was one criticism, I would say some of the entrees seemed very small, especially when compared to the appetizers and desserts. As for price - the price is the price, and it's up there, and we knew that before we showed up. We would have loved a little more food for the price within the entrees but we are very happy with the quality of what we received! Very yummy! read more

We came here as a curiosity after hearing it opened and it sounded like fun especially with the rooftop. However, that is as far as it goes. The rooftop view is nothing to get excited about unless you want to see the cars in the Publix lot next door enter and leave. Food wise, we had a drink, albeit nothing exciting, but for the money a martini at Tini Martini for the same price you get more and are much better crafted. Food, was a swing and a miss. The appetizers offered were not exciting especially for the price. And what you get will be the epicenter of a conversation with questions "how disappointing". Better yet, why not offer a charcuterie board, chicken wing lollipops or tuna poke nachos. Yes, the place has the ingredients for fun but falls short in execution and offerings. Highly impressive!! The first thing you should know is that this is not a "hotel restaurant" but rather a really solid independent that happens to be within a Hyatt. This restauranteur has additional restaurants located in the area as well. I dined at the bar area downstairs which gave access to both the main dining menu and the rooftop menu. I was fortunate enough to meet a great bartender in Miguel who helped with both drink recommendations and was an absolute blast to talk to. While I did not get photos of the food(as I inhaled everything upon arrival) what I did have was truly exceptional and I would highly recommend each of these: -Jerk Mushroom Gyoza -Spicy Tuna Tacos -Lobster Bao Buns The presentation, temperature, freshness and flavor of each dish was perfect. It was hard to pick a favorite but I might lean towards the uniqueness of the mushroom gyoza and the lobster bao buns as I've never had anything quite like them. I need to make it back soon to work my way through more of the menu and to check out the rooftop space as well. I should mention that the main dining room was well designed and beautiful - not hotel vibey at all. Don't let the location being within a hotel impact your decision to check this place out, will return and stay at this hotel again based on this restaurant alone. read more

We are so excited to see a quality restaurant open near us without having to drive over the bridge to downtown. Michael didn't disappoint. The cocktails , starters, and entree were outstanding , very unique and presented beautifully. We were comfortable in the atmosphere , not pretentious for this level of dining. We sampled items from each course, calamari was lightly dusted and prepared gluten free , with a smoky twist , Mediterranean salad with a cake of feta , salty olives, and cucumber ribbons , entrees of salmon , scallops , and Chilean sea bass were enjoyed. The rooftop bar is great with great views on great service. However when I went to the dining room the service was very disappointing. Not only that but the food was terrible. Any respectable chef would have never served the gristly piece of meat that was supposed to be a filet to a customer. We visited this restaurant to celebrate my husband's birthday last night. We are local and have always enjoyed Michael's, their sister restaurant. The atmosphere is nice, service was excellent but the food was just fair. I don't mind spending good money when the food is good to excellent, but this was not the case. We shared 3 appetizers and 1 main course. No drinks because we had drinks at the roof bar, which were good. The lumpia was very salty without the soy dip. The portion was great but we even left one due to the saltiness. Next was the shrimp aguachile. Again, nice portion but it seemed to be missing something in the taste. Then came the Mediterranean salad, which was fine. For our shared main we had the roasted chicken breast. This was the biggest disappointment. No flavor and very dry. In retrospect we should have sent it back. As we ate the appetizers one of the managers came by and asked how our food was. We told them about the lumpia and she said she would inform the chef. When we were just about done with our chicken, the waitress came by and asked how the chicken was. I was honest and said it was very dry. At that point she did ask if we wanted something else, but we declined. We were full! Another manager came by to help clear the plates and also asked about our meal. I told her about the chicken and she said the waitress had already mentioned it. We had 2 complaints but didn't make a fuss. As a new restaurant you would think they would offer us a dessert on the house since it was also a birthday, but nothing was offered to compensate for the misfires. We had two appetizers, Calimari and a beet tartare. Both were fantastic. Then I had the lobster paella -- as good of an entree as i have had in a long time.
