we sat down at 6:10 took our sever 15 mins to greet us and get drinks. then he ran off whenever we were ready to order. he finally came back. took our order and when he did we asked about more chips and salsa bc i was nauseous and needed food. he never came back. served 3 other tables and never checked up on us once. UNTIL THE VERY END. we were so pissed and we j finally said we wanted our check. as soon as he handed us the check book we handed him our cards and he ran off again. Plenty of comfortable seating. Mexican food was pretty authentic. Prices reasonable. Service average. Seemed as if they were in a hurry to get our payment. It's not like we were going to walk out on the check with 2 senior citizens using walkers, otherwise they were polite when greeting us upon our arrival there and taking our dinner order. read more

We come every Wednesday for trivia night. The staff is always SUPER nice! There's also a large outdoor patio to enjoy. I recommend the carnitas tacos, Taco Libre Dip, and a/or many margarita/s. They are sometimes slow. Food is good and drinks are good as well. My first visit at the ponce location wasn't that great. But my second chance to them was better. They need more servers. A polite host and not to discriminate against certain customers. read more

We have visited this restaurant three times in the last 4 months. Each time we experienced decent food and good service. The tortilla chips were fresh, warm and crisp. The salsa was good fresh tasting. The frozen house Margarita was very good and definitely had tequila in it. The cheese queso dip was too small a portion but was hot and had the proper consistency. We shared the shrimp, steak and chicken fajita and asked for corn tortillas. We have eaten this dish before at this restaurant and the portion was very large (enough for 2). The chicken, steak and shrimp were cooked perfectly had not shriveled, dark and in grease. Some of the best fajitas we have had aside from eating at high end Mexican restaurants in Orlando. The corn tortillas tasted fresh and you could actually taste that corn masa flavor. Another dish we had were the pork carnitas. I have eaten better but these were pretty good. I wish they offered tamales but not easy to find in restaurants these days. We will return again to this restaurant. read more

We really enjoyed the food. Parking lot is shared with a motel, so a little confusing, but they said we were good to park there. The guacamole was just ok, but the cheese enchilada were terrific and my street taco asada were full of large chunks of steak fresh cilantro and sweet raw onion! Our side of rice and beans were hot and fresh and the salsa was fine, albeit very mild. Pleasant surprise for our dinner, and service was perfect! Thanks Taco Libre, we will be back! read more

The nachos and queso we're really the only good part of the meal. The beef tasted like dog food and the chicken was very bland. There was not very much spice on the food, and it seemed very minimalist. I would not recommend eating there and don't plan on going back. read more

Not that far from the main attractions, this place is the RIGHT place, specially if traveling with a toddler/baby. Their food is authentic, the "lengua" and "pastor" tacks took me back to Guadalajara! Service was fast, we didn't have to wait LONG hours to get seated. Great beer, great food and great service! Margaritas were excellent! I got the Birria, Carnitas and Chorizo tacos and they were very good! Great service as well!

Service was terrible, we were seated and did not see anyone for 20 mins until we got up and walked out. The lady that sat us saw us walking out and still ignored us. The restaurant was not overall busy at the time of our visit. read more

Ordered take-out that I picked up on A1A in plaza with Publix. Order was chicken enchiladas suizas, queso fundito, and a shredded chicken burrito. I asked for extra green sauce and was charged for it. The 3 enchiladas were loosely wrapped, cubed flavorless chicken, no sauce to be seen as what was put on was soaked up by the corn tortilla, if they even put it on after dipping them in the sauce. On the side was the rice and beans. Actually beans, then the rice right on top of the beans. Why did the have to mix them? My extra sauce - didn't receive. Enchiladas were dry, beans & rice were mixed together. Husband's burrito was shredded flavorless chicken wrapped in a flour tortilla with white cheese sauce smothered on top, then coated with shredded lettuce, a tomatoe slice and small doll-up of sour cream. Rice and beans on the side. Burrito looked like an enchiladas. Maybe it was. Who knows. Really no flavor. The queso funding did not come with any flour tortillas, just dip. The tortillas might as well have been from a bag. Thick, cold. Salsa was tomato juice. To make matters worse, I got violent stomach cramps about 45 min after eating half of my order which lasted till about 4 am. The restaurant itself seemed nice, it had a decent amount of tourists (families), big bar and that evening had drink specials. My recommendation is to find another Mexican restaurant and skip over this one. read more

Even though my daughter had a hair in her burrito. We were willing to stay and asked them to replace it. When they brought the bill, I asked them to please remove the burrito. A male server (who I believe was a manger) rudely came up to me and said "we are not going to remove that from your bill, it was a small hair, probably an eyelash and we can't tell if it was her's or someone in the kitchen". He also said, "everyone back there wears hair nets and beard nets". So I sarcastically asked "do they wear eyelash nets", obviously they don't, "so I stated, how can you say it was my daughter's hair". He was adamant that it was our problem because they brought a new burrito to replace the dirty one. So I stated "if that wasn't the "automatic option", what was she suppose to do, just sit there and watch us eat"? After about 5 minutes of us explaining, at any other reputable establishment, we probably would have had the whole thing comped, all we were asking, is to remove that burrito from the bill. Then, when he finally took it off, he yelled and said "I took it off", as if he did us a favor. Horrible service!! Don't wait your time! read more

Don't waste your time! Tried this restaurant the other day because we do frequent the one on Anastasia. Went after the lunch rush and only a few tables at the time. Service started out bad and continuously got worse. ordered a couple of tacos and beer. Tacos were OK but did have a generous portion of meat ( pork/chicken)on them. never saw waitress again and had to get our own silverware and hot sauce. Waited and waited for the check finally had to go to the front of restaurant to locate waitress who was hanging out with the rest of the staff. Saw a couple of other tables having to do the the same. there was really no excuse for this kind of service with it not being busy or understaffed! Will not be back! read more
