Great little spot right off International Golf Parkway!

Stopped by on a whim with some out-of-town guests and was greeted with top-notch service and flavorful drinks. The vibe is very fun, it was busy but service was quick. I was especially pleased to have a drink and a coconut, so fun!

Worth the drive. The food was very tex-mex which we miss from Texas. Service was spot on not rushed but nice and fast. Ambiance actually was nice like being in Mexico.

Always a yummy lunch spot! I love their Al Pastor tacos. The lunch portions are very big too. They do limit you to only a few baskets of chips which is unlike other Mexican restaurants in the area. Parking at this location is really easy. We really like this spot, maybe we will come back for dinner soon to try out some of their menu items!

The food and the service were soooo good! I knew when we walked in after 2pm and the restaurant was busy that we were in for a treat, and that ended up being the case. We'll certainly be back when we're back in the area.

Anejo Cocina Parkway - St. Augustine, FL Address: 650 E Twincourt Trail, Suite 202, St. Augustine, FL 32095 My husband and I decided to go out for burritos last night, but our usual spot had already closed. So we gave Anejo Cocina Parkway a try--and we're glad we did! Although the menu lists a California burrito, they actually don't serve a true, authentic one. My husband was born and raised in California, and as a cook himself, he definitely noticed the difference! If the restaurant owner would like to reach out to my husband and have him show them how to create an authentic California burrito, he'd gladly do so--with a little bit of pay. That way, they can offer both the authentic version and their revised one as options for customers. The rest of the experience was great! From the moment we walked in (even though it was pretty late), we were seated right away. The server brought out chips, salsa, and drinks super quickly--and everything was fresh, even at the end of the night. The atmosphere was clean, beautiful, and well-lit. They had Spanish-style music playing at just the right volume--fun, but not too loud to talk over. Guillermo was fantastic--definitely ask for him when you go there! Parking: Since it's outside the historic district area, parking is much easier--plenty of free spots in the shopping plaza. Hours: Sun: 11 AM - 9 PM Mon-Thurs: 11 AM - 10 PM Fri-Sat: 11 AM - 11 PM Price Range: Moderate - $$ (Great portions, fair prices, and a full bar.) FYI: Anejo Cocina is part of a small local chain, with other locations in Ponte Vedra Beach and Jacksonville. All in all, a great experience! The food was delicious, the service was top-notch, and we left full and happy. We'll definitely be back (and who knows--you might see my husband in the kitchen helping them craft the perfect California burrito! )

This is a must-visit if you are in the St. Augustine, FL area. Big, bright, bold, and a little loud. The atmosphere is akin to their food. I love it! One of the people in our party ordered a burrito, and it was the biggest I've ever seen; enough for dinner, lunch, and dinner again. The happy hour margaritas are delicious and a great value. I wish there were one of these in Connecticut.

The service was ok, our server was very busy which I can't hold against her. The ambiance is very millennial trying to be mexican and doesn't feel very authentic like a hole in the wall mexican place would be like. The food wasn't good, my taco had more lettuce and sour cream than meat, my burrito was too soggy for me with salsa and was very bland, the quesadilla was actually very good and juicy and would recommend getting the chicken quesadilla if this review doesn't deter you.

Although service at the bar for a late dinner was poor, I won't let it stop me from recommending this Anejo location! Chips and salsa come out faster than fast and our dinner was fantastic, as usual. Large helping and plenty to share or take home.

It's really hard to find good Mexican food in Jacksonville. And believe me being from Texas, I have been looking for a while. Anejo is one of my favorites. The atmosphere is always festive and lively. Their food is consistently good. And their portions are large. However, today was a little different. It seemed like a few of the menu items were not fresh. And it did take us a long time to get our entrées. This is unusual for my experience and I have been to several locations several times. Maybe just a bad day. They have a fairly large menu - pictures included . An awesome bar with several flavors of mixed margaritas waiting to tantalize your taste buds. Nice location in World Golf Village - easy to get to with parking right in front. Perfect for this Sunday afternoon lunch ! There is a place for dining alfresco however it's a little cool today. Come and enjoy! I give them three stars this visit because some of the items were not fresh. And it did take a while for us to get our chips and salsa refilled as well as for our entrées to come out. The restaurant was not full.

Tried Anejo Cocina for the first time tonight. It didn't disappoint at all!! Fantastic service. Delicious food. Large portions. Loved it. Festive atmosphere.

Receipt showing $11 total for the second side for the fajitas!

Been there twice in the past two weeks. Last week the food was great but the drinks (2 large margaritas) were not worth the $18 price. Taste was good but the glass was absolutely filled to the top with ice. Not exaggerating there was maybe 4-5 oz of liquid and we paid $36 total. Today we went back and this time did not order drinks but ordered fajitas for 2. Last week they charged us $5 for a second side of rice/beans/salad/tortillas but today it was rang up a la carte for a total of $11 for the same side as last week. Many Mexican restaurants have the option for 2 on the menu and it ranges from $4-$5 for the side but not here. The fajitas were great again but the inconsistency is awful. For $6 more we could have gotten 2 orders of fajitas and had tons of left overs. This is a sign for poor management!

Both were addictively good. For dessert, I had the s'mores pie, which was surprisingly good. Fudgy creamy goodness with a nice texture from the graham cracker crust. I ordered a lemon drop martini. My drink was made well and was cold. When we were seated, we looked over the menu. There menu hasn't really changed too much. We opted to start with fried pickles and split a wedge salad. My sister and her husband each had a salad. My sister had the burata and her husband had the ranch. Our apps/salads came out quickly. The wedge salad was cool and crisp. I wish it had more pieces of bacon, the bacon looked a bit sparse. The fried pickles were great. I loved the light crisp batter on them and the ranch dip had a bit of a kick to it. For dinner I got the braised short ribs, my husband and brother in law both got the chimichurri steak, and my sister got the pork schnitzel. I've been looking forward to the braised short ribs all week. I was a bit disappointed that when I bit in, it appeared to be pretty bland. Normally when I get this meal it's bursting with flavor. My husband and BIL enjoyed their steaks. My sister enjoyed her schnitzel, but said the pork could have been a bit thinner. We ended the meal with their skillet cookie. Typically the cookie comes out piping hot, but on this occassion, while the skillet was hot, the cookie wasn't. We'll give them another shot, but I was a bit disappointed this time around.

The menu is small but I still had a hard time deciding from tempting choices. The item I really wanted was the hot pretzel but I knew I had to have something more balanced.
