Went in for a quick bite to eat after work on Election Day. Wasn't expecting it to be too busy... and it was just like any normal day! Luckily, there wasn't much political talk going on despite the polls just having closed in Florida while we were there for dinner. We placed our order and it came to the table relatively quick. Both orders were exactly as ordered. No mistakes made! My husband had ordered wings and the waitress brought 2 sauces to the table with the wings. The problem was that she charged . 99 for each sauce. I realize that it's only .99 but the sauces were 'on the side' and not extra! There should've been no charge for them.... Wings are my husband's go-to meal at Gators and there has never been a charge for the sauce nor any discussion of such a charge before or after this visit. Lindsay C was our waitress. Gator's Dockside is a chain restaurant with locations throughout the state of Florida. This particular location is in a growing area not far off of Interstate 95. It is in a small shopping plaza and parking is definitely limited. Gator's Dockside has a menu that definitely fits in with the whole sports bar type feel. Please do not think that I am knocking the menu at Gator's Dockside. Some of my most memorable evenings have included a meal of bar food (we can also call this type of food the more poetic "pub grub"). The service was good, as was the food. The wings here are good, especially when you consider that Gator's Dockside is a chain (albeit a small local chain). All in all, I would definitely recommend a visit to this particular Gator's Dockside. Yes. It does have limited parking, but overall, it was a good experience. I guess for a rating, I will go with a four star rating. read more

Over all great place servers are friends a couple of changes in the kitchen like maybe not the cheese sauce in cheese and grits a normal American cheese would be great! I would also recommend removing the tail off the shrimp with shrimp and grits otherwise this leave it to the guest to have to do this and it takes away from the experience of eating and actually enjoying the product. Went in on Sunday, Sept 14 for football games. Sat at the bar, attempted to eat lunch when people at the bar are vaping which I did not find appetizing. I will contact DBPR to inform them that vaping is being allowed at this establishment. Bartender saw them vaping but did not say one word to them and continued to serve them. Bartender and/or manager on duty needs to be reprimanded for allowing this vaping. Needless to say, I asked for my check and a to go box. I WILL NOT RETURN. read more

so they have had a problem with the septic/sewer at this restaurant now for a month. we came in awhile ago and they told us that septic was the reason for the foul smell. so why is the smell still so bad a month later? it smells like sewer in here and I'm trying to eat it is gross. read more

Let me begin by saying that the staff is excellent, but they're fighting an uphill battle. This place has steadily gone downhill. This is an average sports bar and there are lots of TVs to watch which is good for sports watching. There was not unfortunately a big selection of beers and/or local beers. The beers on draft were domestic or light beers. The food was average and priced reasonably. Our server was attentive but when the bill came it was incorrect. Wonder bread with a side of Walmart. When you walk in there is a tinge of stale beer providing a bit of grip under foot. We were able to get a table right away. A wooden bench that is just comfortable enough for you to finish your food and then be on your way, We were stuffed in the back behind the bar. I ordered the cheese steak with house made onion petals as my side, laughable. Here's why: 1) bun was not griddled and not fresh; so kind of a stale soggy from the grease and cheese. It ran down my arm a little. 2) steak had no color, no color no flavor 3) way over seasoned, (that was a theme at our table) 4) onions and peppers, woof 5) spicy mayo, extra heavy on an extra heavy sandwich My wife had a turkey burger, it was beyond bad. You can tell they are just some frozen Sysco product. It had that freezer texture and taste, (a little spongy and homogenized) Was too small on the bun and possessed a perfect factory roundness. The wonderful waitress saved this from being a total crash and burn, she single handily earned them a star and was well tipped. After reading the reviews I was hesitant to come here, but I can honestly say it was a great experience. We were seated very fast and the waitress was on point. Took our drink orders and food order right away. She recommend a couple options being that it was our first time here. I had the chicken wing platter with garlic wings and jerk chicken wings. They were epic, nice bite and flavor. The fries were well seasoned and perfect. I highly recommend coming here for the wings. The rest of my family had buffalo chicken wraps which they loved as well. We didn't order the pretzel appetizer but a couple in my party did and they loved it. It was a giant pretzel the size of a huge dinner plate. We had the worst experience ever... every time we have been there. The female bartender is always aggressive towards guests. She cut off my wife who had only a few drinks and never offered food or water if she was that concerned, then proceeded to pour me another beer who was driving. She was extremely inappropriate and the manager was worthless. We have seen her do similar things to other bar guests. She is rude, inappropriate and has a chip on her shoulder and should probably find a new job because she's not a people person. Gator's is one of the only places in the Murabella area that has plenty of TVs, bar food, and late night hours. As such, I come here often to watch football games or to grab a late bite to eat. Kara is a great bartender and I thoroughly enjoy the free trivia they offer every night on their TVs. The food is hit or miss unfortunately, along with the promptness of when it comes out. They do have pretty good variety of food options on their menu which is always great. I always order their giant pretzel which comes with cheese and mustard sauces. Most times it's perfect, but we've had it come out extremely hard and almost inedible a few times. I have to say I love their spicy garlic wing sauce though...soooo good! We used to get food promptly after ordering, but lately they've had some issues with forgetting our orders or it taking 45 min to an hour for two entrees to come out when it's not that busy. Overall, the drinks are good and reasonably priced and it's what you'd expect for a sports bar-like atmosphere. read more

Ive been there 4x on a Saturday when there's a game or when the majority are men. Tonight I attended with a group of 4 of 3 women and 1 male. The bartender/manager female brunette recognized us right away with a positive attitude served us our items. 1 hour into service we were told to keep it down in front of other patrons which was embarrassing and after we asked why she said if we don't like it we can leave. We orders a round of shots, drinks and food and was appalled by her demeanor towards us. Folks around us were making similar noise and was asked to leave and she has been workint there for 10 years and don't care about our tip or if we came back. Service was horrible. We sat down to have a nice Christmas outting with my friend and the server Fernando was rude and annoyed that we asked him his name. We ordered a cocktail and was chatting when he brought the drinks we tried to be personable to him and he was not willing to engage. We put in apps and then 20 min ago by and stopped him and asked about the apps and he said 3 min. Very sharply. He brought the apps without any plates. He disappeared for another 15m and we stopped him again and asked if we could order food. We put the food in and he left. The manager came by and we asked for a few more chips for the spinach dip. We talked to him for about 5m. He apologized for the delay and we said we understood. It was busy. Then the server came over and said that my friend was cut off from alcohol. Mind you we had 1 drink. He said she was to loud. I asked if he was kidding and the manager was just here. He said she can have water. I asked for the check and he brought and charged me for the meal I did not get yet. I refused to pay and he took it off. I pd the bill and when I did he told me to keep the dollar that was left. He was very disrespectful and rude. I asked for the manager. When we talked to the manager he was apologizing and said he knew we were not loud and she was not intoxicated. He gave us the corporate card to file a grievance. I will NEVER recommend this place. EVER. I have been trying to eat here for six years, and I have an issue EVERY SINGLE TIME I TRY TO ORDER TAKE OUT. I called to order and asked politely to substitute the designated sauces and sides that came with the meals. The associate said I could substitute the sauce and side with ANY side on the menu. When I went to pick up my food, they tried to charge me for one of the sides and the sauces. By definition, substitute means "part with some for equivalent." Gators did not disclose on the phone there was an up charge for one of the premium sides. The cashier visited the manager twice to have charges removed from my order. They said they would remove the charges this time, but next time it was on me (as if I would ever this pitiful salad again). How about your train your associates to disclose prices and the check total up front? It's the principle. I don't care who took the order or what's happened in the past. Take ownership of the situation, and take my feedback to make it better for the next customer. I said I was willing to pay only for what I wanted and what was in my bag, and I wanted to pay and leave before my food was cold, but the manager told to me to leave. I ordered a salad with the menu said comes with "greens" but the lettuce provided was iceberg. When I questioned the waitress about it she said iceberg lettuce is what they always use.
