    Irish Eggrolls
    Sherry W.

We go to Donovan's Irish Pub for Irish comfort food and good drinks. We stopped in for a late lunch and started with the Irish egg rolls. The two diagonal cut egg rolls arrived steaming hot and were stuffed with corned beef, sauerkraut, and cheese. The thousand island sauce was the perfect compliment to the corned beef. We shared the fish and chips for our entree. The fish filets were large and perfectly fried. The steak fries were fresh and added nicely to the fish. The slaw was a bit bland and really did not add to the meal. The beer is always cold and they offer a large selection of cocktails. I tried the Irish margarita. It was the perfect balance between orange and margarita sour. Service is always friendly and efficient. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This pub is relaxing and comfortable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We usually sit in the bar and this time we sat on the side near the banquet area. We noticed an actual pinball game and chose to play a few games. It added to the experience. They also have Uno, Old Maid/Go Fish, and cards for playing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

It was good. Would like to try more options. I purchased a Caesar side salad and the Reuben egg rolls with an angry orchard. Went in n a Sunday during brunch hours and one server hustling tables, she did amazing.

Jareb the owners Son and also Cat the waitress that served me were of the best service I've received in a while and I have upmost respect for their recommendations of platters and also... this is genuinely an Irish feel! I had their traditional fish and chips!!!!!! Portions are amazing!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is spectacular![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We did a pre St. Patrick's Day visit which still had live music and green beer. Service was excellent. The portions are large. Marbled rye bread on the corned beef reuben is delicious. The steak fries were really delicious. Food was very good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The menus were in need of a good cleaning.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is a nice neighborhood pub.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Stopped by for open mic night but was equally impressed by the food. Very traditional Irish fare. Fish was excellent but the chips were cold. Dublin pot roast was a lot of food. Shepherds pie is also excellent. Our server was terrific and checked on us regularly. Guinness is half price on Wednesday. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very Irish pub motif.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Corned beef & cabbage

Service is good & Guinness on draft is always good. Now on to the negatives. The country music is a weird option for an Irish pub. Margarita was weak. Horrible, dry corned beef & weird potatoes. (Had to use hot sauce to get through it.). Terrible cabbage. The Reuben egg roll was DRIPPING with grease. Amateurish Shepherd's pie. Thumbs down

The food was great! Service not so good, our waitress was not around a whole lot and we were the only ones she was serving. Other than that we were pretty satisfied.

Fish & Shrimp Meal with 2 sides

Saturday late lunch. We were seated right away. There were people at the bar and 2 other tables of people seated in the dining area. Appetizer: I ordered us (2 ppl) the egg roll appetizer. Hearty, fresh, and hot. I don't like sauerkraut but this was enjoyable ... I wouldn't want a full sandwich (Reuben) but I would have one of these again. It's served with the traditional Thousand Island dressing. Entree: For my lunch, I ordered the fish (haddock) & shrimp with coleslaw and cabbage. My meal was served without the cabbage, it was still cooking and that is no big deal to me. The breading on both the fish and shrimp were good. The coleslaw is more of a vinegar base but it was ok. I do wish it would have been cold - it was room temp. Unfortunately, the fish was cooked a little too long and was dry, but the seasoning of the fish was on point. When the cabbage came, it was still quite crunchy and bland except for pepper. So why 3 stars? For me, the basics go a long way. We were seated at a table that had not been wiped down. The perfect ring circles from previous glasses, small crumbs, and sticky spots. It wasn't enough to notice before being seated. Whoever cleared the plates clearly forgot. The hostess that seated us nor the waitress noticed. When we realized, no one was around so, we cleaned the table ourselves. The floor was sticky and my flip flops wanted to stick with every step going to and away from the table. The food was good but it wouldn't draw me back for another visit, it wasn't memorable or delectable enough, sadly.

When I gave my order to the server, I specified how I was excited to try it because it was shaved, and he told me it was his favorite, but he could never finish it. When the food came, I was very nervous because not only was the rye bread seeded, and I don't like seeded rye bread typically, the meat was clearly not shaved, but sliced. Once I took a bite, all of those concerns were gone! Not only was it such fresh and delicious bread that I am certain they must make or get fresh from a bakery, the corned beef had to be the most tender I've had in a very long time. There was not one chewy piece throughout the sandwich. Now, those fries...they are now my absolute favorite fries! I can see myself craving those. I didn't even get through half of the sandwich because it was a lot. My husband really enjoyed the smash burger as well. He said his bun was also very fresh and delicious, the burger was great, too! The pub itself it very cute and just was you would expect to see and a friendly atmosphere to go with it.

A live band was playing, people were dancing, and there was this great mix of energy that made the whole experience feel effortless and genuine. We kept things simple with drinks. Susan ordered a Jameson Orange, and we went with a Blackberry Jack Daniel's. Both were smooth, refreshing, and perfect for winding down the night. What stood out most was the atmosphere. This is not a polished, trendy bar, it is a true local lounge with personality. The kind of place where people are there to enjoy themselves, not just be seen. Service was quick and friendly, pricing felt fair, and the overall vibe made it easy to stay longer than we planned. We did not try the food this time, but we will be back for it. Between live music, themed nights, and the energy we experienced, Arnold's made a strong impression. If you enjoy live music, dancing, and authentic local spots, this is a great place to check out.

They had a good sized dance floor unfortunately none of us could use it because there was a gentleman there that apparently is a regular, taking up the entire dance floor with his antics and reeked to high heaven. This man's body odor was so bad we had to move tables away from the band. This was my first experience at Arnold's and although I really enjoyed the atmosphere, the waitress, the food and drinks, if this "Kramer" guy is a regular I can't imagine going back. * I don't see how to reply to the owner's response to my review, but the reason is because this is apparently an ongoing problem that management has yet to address. In addition to the smell he takes up the entire dance floor with his antics and jumps at people, which is very uncomfortable And speaking with other patrons at your establishment I am not the only one who feels this way. I gave the review based on my overall experience. As a business owner, I would think this is something you would like to be aware of.
