    Burger, fries and onion rings

We were greeted by the server behind the counter with a warm chocolate chip cookie-yum! Our Mission burger was accompanied by fries and onion rings. Food was all delicious. Seating area inside is small and we moved so the party of 3 behind us could sit together. Recommend this for anyone, not only those who eat vegan.

Highly recommend the Smoked Brisket burger here. I didn't read the full description when I placed an order, so I didn't know the brisket was not meat. Then I was pleasantly surprised that the brisket was actually made of mushrooms and beans, because the taste and texture was perfectly meat-y! The bbq sauce is also pretty good. Not too salty, but had just the right amount of smokiness to it.

Movie night with the family!!! After a nice trip to the movies with my kid, what better way to end the night than with a nice burger and fries. Decided to try Mission for the first time and we enjoyed it thoroughly. We were immediately greeted and offered a complimentary cookie. I went for the brisket burger. It had a nice flavor and was very filling. What's crazy about all of it is that, I didn't realize the menu was completely vegan until after I'd already ordered and ate. Just goes to show how good they make the food. They have a nice outdoor patio for dining in with some great lighting on their awning. If you're in the area, check them out!!!

I got the crunch wrap and it was perfect and crispy! Staff is friendly and the ordering process is easy as ever. The setup makes it comfy to enjoy their menu and you even getter a buzzer letting you know your food is done.

Rating: 2.4/5 [Ubereats Delivery] We have no idea what happened, but our second experience with Mission Burger was a total bust. Delivery took longer this time as well, which only added to the disappointment. The Mighty Reuben ($22.49): This is one of their top sellers and something I was genuinely excited to try. It's a NYC-style Reuben made with a 1/2 pound of BeHive seitan that's corned and cured for at least 48 hours, then layered with Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and Mission sauce on marble rye bread. In the UberEats photo, the seitan looked bright red, but what we got was pale pink--and tasted more like ham than corned beef. The marble rye was overly sour, and I wasn't a fan of the sauerkraut. Honestly, neither of us could even figure out what we were tasting. Classic Bacon Mushroom Melt Burger ($18.95): This comes with double Impossible patties, a double portion of bacon, mushrooms, American cheese, pickles, and extra cheese. Despite all that, it actually looked smaller than the Reuben. It's recommended for mushroom lovers, but they completely missed the mark--the mushrooms weren't browned at all and had zero earthy, umami flavor. They also failed to capture the bacon essence. This ended up being one of the worst burgers I've ever had. I couldn't even eat more than a quarter of it. This was such a stark contrast to our first time trying Mission Burger. I don't know what changed, but this experience honestly left us pretty scarred.

Ordered online and was ready in ten minutes! Pickup was quick and easy with friendly staff! Smallish parking lot, but had no troubles getting a spot when I went. It is located inside barley bean so you could sit down and enjoy your meal there if you wanted. I got a jr burger, which is the size of a regular burger (nothing junior about it!). Very flavorful and a good ratio balance of all the 'meats'. Not pictured, but still enjoyed, was their chocolate chip cookie! Perfect size IMO, suggest warming up in the microwave for 5-10 seconds to get it nice and gooey soft. Price wise it is on the expensive side; however if you are plant-based (like myself) the lemon may be worth the squeeze since there are not many other places like this in Austin. I did and will be back to try more!

Service is a counter top service at a café called Barley beans so tight area but definitely a café. If you're running around during your day it's a quick stop. I wouldn't say it's a whole day just because the space is very limited but you do as well get to drink here. Food is delicious. I believe it is vegan even through desserts. Ambience is perfect. The guy is so considerate will input any information that you need from the restaurant as well when we walked in immediately got started with some cookies out of respect. I thought that was really cool from them so did hit the spot after having an adventurous day.

We saw that this burger place had great reviews, so we wanted to see what all the hype was about. When we arrived, we noticed that there was hardly any parking around the area. So we literally had to wait to get a parking spot. Once one opened up we finally parked. When we arrived we were quickly greeted and since it was our first time the employee gave us a rundown of the menu and the too sellers. We ended up ordering the Steak Sandwich, the Caballero Burger, and an order of fries. It was pricey and ended up being $37 and that was with a military/first responder discount. The sandwich's do not come with fries or a drink. Plus if you want drinks, you need to order the drinks at the other register at the Barley Bean (they share the same area). I ordered a signature coke, a Beer, and a water, which ended up being around $15. So overall the total was around $52, which is a little much. The food came out quick and the food did taste decent, especially for a plant-based burger place. Don't know if I would give this place another try, but it was ok.

The location was clean and nice looking. The staff was friendly and helpful. I ordered a Mission Burger with fries and an Electric Jellyfish. The beer was fine and a small amount for the price. Everything on the Mission Burger was great except the patties. The most important thing on a burger is the meat. This was without flavor and not properly cooked. Not browned. Could have used salt. I requested some and never received it. Fries were fresh and flavorful. Given the reviews I went there for a great burger. Didn't happen and I will not return. I regret that I didn't go to Inn-n-Out across the street or Dan's.

I usually visit the one on Congress when I'm in town, but that location is closed. This was my first stop after landing in Austin, and sadly, I was disappointed with the food and service. I walked in, and people at the coffee side looked at me, but there was no greeting. I walk to the Mission Burger side and place my order on the tablet, and find a seat. This is one building shared by Mission Burger and Barley Bean coffee, and it wasn't the cleanest. Tables had food on them and crumbs on the bar table by the window, and it wasn't busy. My buzzer went off, and I walked to the counter to get my food, and the employee looked at me, but again, no greeting. The employees on Congress were always friendly, appeared to enjoy their job, and treated me to a free cookie. Well, not here. It was a really strange experience. I didn't feel welcomed at all. My Caballero was also lukewarm. I'm not sure how a freshly prepared burger can be lukewarm, but it was. The food was so-so. Nothing I would return back for. I was very disappointed, and I left an 18% tip since you pay before you get your food.

This place truly is a bomb! I became vegetarian two years ago, and it was hard to find a good food vegetarian/vegan burgers. Mission burger hits the spot for sure! My husband and I ordered -mission burger with grilled onion -chicken bacon ranch sandwich -side of garlic fries All the items we got were amazing. The burgers were juicy and they were so flavorful! The staff here is awesome as well. She was so kind, as we walked in, she greeted us with a warm chocolate chip cookies. And she also explained the menu and recommendation very well to us as it was our first timing coming here. 10/10 recommended this place if you are looking for a good vegan burgers! Well if you are looking for a good burger in general! It's inside of the River City Market, so there are not lots of tables for sit down meal, but they pack everything in a paper bag so you can take it to go easily. Oh and the burger wrapper made it so easy to eat! It can get pretty messy to eat a burger, but their wrapper prevented my burger from disassembling completely! It's the little things that matter, if you know what I mean! Anyhow, if you are in the search of good burger, come to mission burger! You will not be disappointed!

Twas first time coming by here! Welcome by a friendly staff and she gave us a cookie !! Delicious vegan cookie with crispy outside and subtly soft inside! While we were looking at the menu, the friendly lady explained which ones are good and popular ones so we took her recommendations! The mission burger is apparently go to one if you don't know what to get as it's the most popular one there! My wife got it and it was very delicious! You put the info into kiosk and you can accommodate the toppings like grill onions instead of raw one etc! I like their style! I got a chicken bacon one and it was good but I prefer mission burger for me! Also we got a box of garlic fries and the lady gave us sweet garlic mustard sauce! Quite yummy combo! Overall, we had a great experience and definitely love to be back here! Keep up the good and healthy work! Cheers

This place is awesome! A lot of places now have a veggie or vegan burger option on the menu, and they're just fine. I didn't realize this place is ALL vegan, so they really know how to do the burger right and make you not miss a beef burger. That's big for me as someone who recently started eating plant based. The service was also really great. Michael was kind and nice to talk to, and offered me help as a first time customer. They also give you a free chocolate chip cookie when you order! The burger was a classic super messy very filling double cheeseburger. The onion rings were cooked perfectly. The meal + tip was actually pretty pricy. Almost $30, which didn't include a drink because you have to buy one from the convenience store side. Overall, I recommend trying this place and bringing non-vegans too. They won't be disappointed! The menu has a lot of variety too, so there is a lot to try. I'll be back for sure.

Greeted with a free chocolate chip cookie!

The buns weren't warmed and at a 3:1:.25 bread to patty to cheese ratio, cheeseburger was just ok. The cute little cheesecake truck serves vegan and non vegan options. $10-11 in little glass jars which can be returned for future discounts. The cookies and cream was a layered and light treat. We got one Austin roll ($22), volcano roll ($15), creamy spicy tan tan ramen ($20), teriyaki sesame tofu yakisoba ($20). I have had their sushi and yakisoba but tried their ramen for first time. I was impressed with their packaging. As you can see in picture, veggies and noodles box was on top and soup at bottom. The only thing I didn't like how noodles became very sticky because of how tight they were packed. So I got it as cold (because I live 30 mins away) and sticky. Ramen came with all the veggies like grilled Chinese broccoli, tofu, sweet corn, marinated shiitake mushrooms, red onions and negi. Yakisoba noodles had the Stir-fried noodles tossed with cabbage, scallion, carrot, marinated shiitake mushrooms, and fragrant negi in a savory house sauce. I ordered a holiday cheese box on December 3 as a Christmas gift. My card was charged immediately. The order never shipped, and I received no communication until I followed up myself, multiple times. After the holidays, I learned (only because I kept pushing) that my order had been internally canceled due to a system glitch, with no email, no refund, and no outreach. I was repeatedly told it would ship on specific dates that came and went. A replacement order was finally sent in January. It arrived late, wet, with melted and ruptured ice packs, and the cheese was very soft to the point my friends weren't sure it was safe to eat. The box also lacked the gift note that was supposed to be included. What bothers me most is that my card would have stayed charged indefinitely if I hadn't chased this down myself. That's not okay especially for perishable food. It's a real shame, because the product itself is great. But based on this experience, I can't recommend ordering gifts or anything time-sensitive unless the fulfillment and communication processes dramatically improve.

It instantly reminded me of PB&Js with grape jelly that my mom used to pack for me as a kid. 8. Burnt butter apple cake with maple ice cream - I'm a sucker for anything apple, and this combination was next-level. The perfect way to end the tasting. Overall, I had an amazing experience. The service was outstanding, the space was intimate and ideal for a date night, and the food was thoughtful and creative. I'll definitely be back for the spring menu. You don't have to be vegan to love this spot!

I've been wanting to go back, but it's always fully booked. Honestly, I'm happy they're so busy, and I know I'll get my chance to experience it again. In the meantime, I love that more people are getting to enjoy it!

Fry Let me tell you…read moreabout FTG. The little food truck in the back of a sweet-ass dive bar called Mama Dearest. Do you wanna know about the dive bar? You'll have to check out my other review. But just know it's filled with weird taxidermy and novelty items that are one of a kind. But I digress. Back to the food. I would like to tell you I tried everything on the menu as many times as I came here. But alas, only four or five things. Unfortunately, their pierogies are the best thing I've ever had. Not just in Austin, but ever. I am now desperately seeking pierogies that rival FTG's. It's not just the pierogies themselves... but the sauce, it would make angels sing. Every time I tried something new, my heart would long for the pierogies. I finally gave in to my desires and quit trying other new things. I think next time I go back I'm just going to ask strangers if I can have a bite of their food, so I can say I've tried everything. But until then, this review is for what I have tried. After the pierogies. My next favorite things in order. Fried chicken (perfectly crisp bites), jerk chicken (little spicy, not dry, perfect), chilli (so spicy), gnocchi. The cheesecake would technically rank after the pierogies, but because they're a dessert I don't wanna mess up the order here and confuse y'all. The two dudes that work this truck, are here EVERY time. I'm pretty sure the only days they take off is Mondays and Tuesdays. Tell them the girl from Kansas City with a big dog sent to you. Lastly. Know that you won't find this place overrun with college kids or snotty hipsters. Just regular people enjoying a good dive bar.

Rating: 2.7/5 [Postmates delivery]…read more We were so excited to try FTG's food, especially given its high Yelp rating. Unfortunately, it ended up being extremely disappointing. The meats were unforgivably dry, though everything else was good. Steak & Zab ($22): The zab, a mix of green beans, mushrooms, and broccoli tossed in salsa macha with sabayon, was actually enjoyable. I liked the flavors, but it was a bit too creamy/saucy for my husband (likely due to the sabayon). The steak, however, was dry and very chewy. Asian Style Spare Ribs ($17): This came with a 1/3 rack of spare ribs, a Thai cabbage salad, and five-spice fried potatoes. The potatoes were fire, and the salad was solid. But again, the meat missed the mark--super dry for the most part. We tried dipping it in the sabayon and other sauces to add moisture, but it didn't help. The fish sauce glaze didn't come through either. The only redeeming quality was the generous portion size.
