Rating: 4.3/5 [takeout] We tried Jabs a few months ago when it was still called Peace, Love, and Burgers, and while the food was fine, it wasn't anything special. The burger felt small for the price and didn't really fill me up, but maybe that's because I split the burger. I decided to give it another try on Halloween night, and it was so much better this time. I ordered the Sissy Burger ($9) with added lettuce ($0.50) and tomato ($0.50). The burger was delicious, juicy, flavorful, and satisfying. I finished the whole thing and was full for the rest of the night.

OG Burger and seasoned fries

Great spot at Rainy Street. It's a food truck with picnic tables. We ordered the OG burger and seasoned fries. The burger was juicy and surprisingly excellent! The fries had an awesome seasoning on them. The service was quick. The price was $10 for the burger and $4 for fries. Typical Rainy Street/bar food prices. Located in a cool area. I'd order the burger and fries again.

The lady working the front was very attentive and helped us when needed (our first time here). Our food came out I would say in less than 20. The fries were AMAZING (love some good fries), and the burger was good but too greasy for me.

Don't forget the fries!

Classic with fries

Jabs is the new name of this spot tucked in on Rainey St. Short menu burgers fries and drinks. I was greeted with friendly service, with outdoor seating in the shade. Super flavorful meat patties. Very juicy and not smashed paper thin. I've have plenty of smash burgers . Most of which had unflavored dry meat. A whole lot of lipstick and mascara. Jabs on the other hand checks all the good boxes. They have it down packed. No frills. Just a str8 up smash burger!! Fries were made fresh. Super crispy and well seasoned. When in the area. Please give it a go!

This is now called JABS. This is a food truck in a craft beer lot on Rainey street. Hussain said his burgers are the best and showed me the award he won for Austin's best burger. He did not lie or disappoint. The burger has flavors of char from the grill and even though it's smashed, it's not super thin. It has some meat and flavor to it. The sauce is really good. I ordered the classic which comes with lettuce and tomato. The fries are ok. They were a let down when the burger is soooooo good. I highly recommend and I'll say this burger is better than Houston's trill burger which won Americas best burger...

Lives up to the hype and is what we consider to be the best smash burger in Austin! Prices are also very reasonable and service was great!

The food is incredible, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff truly make this place special. Huge shoutout to amazing team members Ariel and Emily for being so warm and kind. The chef even made our pup Zoloft a pup cup today, which was such a sweet gesture. The lovely woman who helped us during our last visit also gave Zoloft a pup cup, so they've consistently shown kindness to our little family. They even gave complimentary vegan cookies to guests when we arrived (not sure if it was a special promotion, but such a thoughtful touch!). And the ice cream... WOW. Made with lentils, and honestly some of the best ice cream we've ever had--rich, creamy, and unforgettable. Friendly staff, delicious food, thoughtful service, and creative plant-based treats. Mission Burger is a gem in Austin, and we'll absolutely be back again whenever we return to Austin

As for the food, I was amazed that it was all plant-based and made with high-quality ingredients. I ordered the Ruben, Steak Burger, and Lemon Pepper Chicken Sandwich. There is some picnic bench seating if you care to eat there, but each order is ready to take home You can also find a menu and other information posted on the outside. The menu mostly offers burgers, but there are a couple other offerings like a cheesesteak, partner, etc. The staff were very friendly and precessional. I really appreciated that they double checked everything in our to-go bags against what we ordered just to make sure we had everything. Everything was bagged, and the orders had the individual order and special order requests written on top Everything tasted great. The burgers were classic burgers, slightly messy, but very flavorful. The fries weren't quite as crisp as I like, but they were seasoned well and tasty Some tips: Consider ordering online so you can have your meal ready when you arrive The burgers/entrees don't come with fries, so, consider ordering a couple fries to share. One order of fries is more than enough for 2 people to share. To do this just make your meal a combo on the ones you want to have fries. Combos also come with a drink, but it's not a fountain drink it's in cans which they also bag for you Cheers!!

5/5 Stars - Hands-down the best meal of my trip!**…read more I'm in town for a conference and have been eating out every single day--hotel breakfasts, chain spots, random takeout--and honestly, nothing has come close to what I had at Jimmy's Big Burger tonight. This was by far the best meal I've had all week. The cheeseburger was outstanding. The bun was perfect--soft, and held everything together without getting soggy. The meat had incredible flavor, juicy and well-seasoned, and the divine (I'm assuming that's the special sauce or topping?) absolutely blew me away--it took the whole thing to another level. The fries were exactly how I like them: thick-cut, tender, not overly crunchy or crispy, and seasoned to perfection. Every bite was spot-on. Service was excellent too--friendly, attentive, and quick without feeling rushed. Shoutout to the team for making a conference-weary traveler feel right at home. If you're anywhere near Jimmy's, do yourself a favor and go. I'm already thinking about coming back before I leave town. So well done--thank you! Highly recommend. 10/10 would eat again.

Recently, I went back after not having it for a while, craving that same experience... but unfortunately, it just wasn't the same. The burger tasted different -- almost like they've changed something or started taking shortcuts. It was like a school lunch burger + the onion rings were burnt but also cold at the same time. The flavor and quality that made me come back before just weren't there this time, which was super disappointing. I honestly left feeling a little sad because I used to go there all the time for that exact reason and took a 30 min drive to try it again. On the positive side, the staff is still amazing. Everyone was really friendly, and that part hasn't changed at all. And I did grab one of the locally made sweets from the fridge, and that was actually really good. I'm really hoping they go back to the quality they used to have, because Wholly Cow used to be one of the best burger spots around.

Our server was lots of fun and patient with us as we took our time determining drinks and meals. We started with their nachos appetizer to split, which was really good. The chips were evenly covered with toppings, and it was just enough to get us through until our meals. My friend and I split their special burger that day, which was a green goddess burger and swapped the regular patty for a veggie patty. It was great! The veggie patty reminded me a lot of falafel, which is one of my favorite foods, and it went really well with their green goddess dressing and other toppings. We also both got their sweet potato fries as a side. They come with a spicy aoli that went very well with them. The rest of the group got the same burger, the Bone Marrow, which was a mix of regular beef and waygu. Everyone said it was probably one of the best burgers they've ever had in their lives! The vibes of this place were great, the staff was great, and the food was the greatest part of all. When we come back to Austin, this place will for use be on our list to stop at again!
