Atmosphere is really chill and neat. There were annoying flies but it's Texas heat so it's expected. Seating is covered with large covering and giant fan. Service from the trucks were good and as helpful as could be. So food review- Brazilian food truck, said it was featured on food network. I ordered the pork stew bowl that was also featured on food network. It had a good flavor but I wish I was given more meat. More than half the bowl was rice. Taco truck- the bbq queso was good, taco meat was good also. Gelato truck- the lady was very sweet! The gelato was okay, not the greatest.
Nice food truck park in the western part of Austin! They have about 6-10 food trucks in the lot ranging from burgers, to Thai, to tacos and even Venezuelan food. I ordered a veggie taco from Have a Taco and then got some arepas from Manejar the Venezuelan truck. Food was made to order, fresh and delicious! The lot gets crowded and it can be hot if you don't find a table under an awning but def put this place as a spot to visit!
A Barton Springs favorite in Austin, you had us at food trucks. One of many food trucks parks/courts in Austin, there's usually about 7-10 food trucks here, some that rotate I think. Depends on the day and schedule (check their Instagram). Also dog friendly and you can bring your own alcohol as well. The trucks here have a variety of eats. We saw a cone truck, empanadas, tacos/burritos, pizza/pasta, Louisiana Cajun, Thai, and gelato as some options here. They also have classic rock and blues music blasting giving that chill Texas vibe when you're hanging here. Look forward to visiting here again. Bring your appetite of course!
Really cool concept of a food truck park. Several different food trucks located here at a time with a variety of options and types of foods available. My family and I tried almost every food truck with at least one order from each truck. Food was okay, nothing outstanding. The park/area itself is a bit run down and could be better maintained for cleanliness. But they do strive to accommodate for dogs and dog-friendliness, which is a plus in my book. During the summer months, it does get pretty hot because seating is outside, though there is an awning. So be prepared.

As for the food trucks it probably depends on how well they are doing. But it looks like a few of them are just parked here for months on end. Right now they have burgers, Thai, Italian, dog snacks, tacos, New Orleans style food, Mediterranean food and some crunch cuisine. Overall it's a cool place to check out if you are local or just stopping by for a visit.
Uuuuuh the Picnic is not my spot! My daughter wanted tacos and ended up with a slim brisket quesadilla that was expensive but light on brisket. We were not sure what to eat, just wanted to see the selection! Hubby and I decided on fish taco and blackened po boy and gumbo! It was just okay as well. I didn't care for the selections in this food park!
Super cute food truck park - pretty much embodies all of Austin right here. The trucks are generally pretty busy around mealtimes so I would suggest ordering ahead if you don't want to wait. I wanted to get Thai food but the line was really long so I got from Cannone's instead. I got the #3 on the foccacia menu - it had grilled asparagus, grilled zucchini, tomatoes and cheese, which doesn't sound that appetizing but it was delicious! Perfect for any vegetarian!! I originally thought it would be just a sad sandwich but the foccacia was so flavorful and pairs perfectly with the vegetables. I would definitely get again.
A chill spot with a variety of food trucks. There were quite a bit of tables available, but I was there mid day during the week so maybe not as much traffic as the weekend. It was pet friendly :) I'll defines be coming back after I go paddle boarding and I'm starving
I like the overall concept of having multiple food trucks in the one place, but when we came to dine here, most of the trucks were closed even after we double checked the hours of the businesses. I'm not sure if it was a fluke, but we only found 1 truck open so that was our only option. At least it was a good food spot but would have liked to check out the other trucks in the picnic.
If you can't make up your mind where, this is a good option. There are several food trucks, even one for your dog. I had some gumbo that was very good. Cool place to hang out and get some food.
Perfect place if your group has different tastes in mind for a lunch/snack break! There's plenty of parking in the neighboring lot, and tons of picnic tables in the middle of the hub. You can choose from Thai, Burgers, Tacos, Italian and more! I'm not sure if they switch out food trucks, but I did see a few photos for Acai Bowls - there wasn't a truck when we went, unfortunately since I was craving one! I wasn't too hungry so I ended up just getting some Spring Rolls and Egg Rolls from the Thai Truck. Spring Rolls (2pc - $4.00): Super fresh ingredients, which I wasn't expecting coming from a truck. Peanut Sauce is a bit more runny than I was used to, but was still delicious. Egg Rolls (4pc - $4.00): Also super delicious! Really crunchy exterior, and great veggie combo filling. I also had a bite of my sister's Pad Kee Mao and it was very flavorful. Also had a sip of the Thai Tea, but it was just OK - felt like it lacked some umph that I've had before at other Thai restaurants. Some items at food trucks were a bit overpriced, but it seemed like everyone enjoyed their food! Safe to say you'll find something you'll like, and it'll be tasty.
I asked our friends who've lived here for 7 years to get me the best food truck scene and by golly, they just about did it with this place! Loved the options of food as well as gelato. Very fast and delicious options. Bathroom right there and plenty of seating. There was also a couple of other trucks and trailers for gifts as well as meats and sauces. I didn't get a chance to delve too deeply in those other trucks but they looked very cool. Great location to get to other stops and places to eat. Definitely worth checking out among the several other food truck stops. Very notable for the flavor.

Food options include Thai, Brazilian, BBQ, and cupcakes. We went for the Venezuelan cuisine from Four Brothers. The arepas were divine, came out pretty quickly, and the staff super friendly! This is not your average trailer park. Really good lunch option in the area for when the weather is nice, and a great place to bring kids and dogs as well!
This is one of my go to when it comes to food trucks in Austin. I love that They have ample free parking. Right now they have seven trucks which are usually open at the same time. It's pretty well lit and they play good music (old school). The only thing I would say is they need to work on updating the heaters and bathrooms. Although they're locked, I feel like they need more care and the hot water doesn't work. I tried 4 (Habibi, Tacos, Pete's Cajun Seafood, and Coat & Thai) out of the 7 trucks and all of the food was delicious! read more

I got a burger from Black Bear Burgers. It was good. I was with a group of people and I like that everyone was able to pick the type of food they want. Love that there was plenty of parking and it was a great day to sit outside! read more

My son had the fried shrimp and fries from the Cajun food truck. He loved it! I had the bacon cheeseburger with grilled onions from Black Bear. It was one of the best burgers I ever had. It was amazing! Perfect amount of grease, flavor of the sauce just exploded in my mouth. Bacon wasn't over cooked. It was so good. read more

You can choose from Thai, Burgers, Tacos, Italian and more! Really cute to have a little outdoor area with tables and food trucks. They also have actual bathrooms which is nice. This place is BYOB! The chicken cone is amazing and would come back for it. I do wish they had a few more truck options here to make it even livelier! read more
It has several food trucks and a center seating/dining area, which was pretty nice at that location near the Zilker park. The tables were not clean but the food trucks were interesting to explore. I ordered the lobster roll, it's a bit pricey considering the really small portion size, I had the Austin flavor which came with chipotle sauce and the taste was good, except that I found a piece of lobster shell while eating. But overall I'm glad to try this place out. read more
One of the coolest food truck experiences I had in Austin. Right outside Zilker Park, I was approached by a plethora of different food trucks with a ton of picnic tables. The choices arise. I think I spent more than 10 minutes trying to figure out what to eat between the Italian, Venezuelan, & Thai trucks. I eventually settled for the Thai food truck, Coat & Thai. The food was pretty awesome. I ordered the tofu pad thai and I got a hearty portion of food. I needed it too after walking all around Austin and heading into the park. For $9, it's a great deal. I just loved the scenery more than anything. This is a must see & eat if you're in Austin. read more

8-10 Variety Food Trucks with benches to sit and enjoy your food. If you enjoy outdoor eating then you"ll like this spot. Been there around 2pm and there quite lot of people as it is pretty close to Barton springs.People swim and then come to grab a bite. I tried the Pupas from " Four Brothers" and it was pretty good. We got Acai Bowl from another truck which was good. The Pasta and Fried Rice from different trucks which are not great. Moreover the chinese food truck took quite long time to serve our order. Great concept but they could do a better job of cleanliness of the grounds. Portions were pretty small at every food truck we visited. This is "the spot" for people leaving Barton springs so it was very busy. We left still hungry. read more
A nice space to sit and eat and a good variety of cuisines however I was underwhelmed with the actual taste of some of the food. Tacos at Have a Taco were unseasoned and shells were stale. Guacamole was brown. Also things were on the expensive side. The pizza spot was okay. We got a 12' pizza for $10 but they would only give us 2 plates for the kids to eat the pizza. All in all I had high hopes for this spot but it just didn't work out. read more
I love this place! Although I went in the absolute worst time (noon, where the heat really gets to you) there were a lot of tables that were covered either by a tree or the giant roof canopy! There is a lot to choose from here. I went with the gumbo from the creole place and it was a very different gumbo from anything that I have ever had: it was watery but the broth was absolutely amazing! I also got these little fried cheese sticks from the brazilian place and the dipping sauce that they give you is utterly amazing. I highly recommend coming here with a portable fan or a large thermos filled with ice water because it can get seriously hot with all of the hot food you are surrounded by! read more

The Picnic is a group of food trucks with covered seating in the middle. So there is a variety of choices to suit everyone's tastes. I tried a chicken cone from The Mighty Cone. The coating on the chicken was so flavorful! Their fries are also good. My husband has a Turkish wrap and he thoroughly enjoyed it. Eating outside under the fans was quite peaceful. For dessert we got a strawberry lemonade possible from Steel City Pops. Yummy!! This is s great place to try new things and enjoy time outside with family or friends. read more
Overall, pretty cool food truck court. Shhhh...don't tell anybody,. but I think I like this locale better than the old spot.:/ Tons of picnic tables, bathrooms, and PARKING is a breeze. Did I mention easy parking? Oh, yeah. Plus, all the carts (I'm pretty sure) take credit cards if you don't have cashola, some stay open pretty late, and there are enough choices in "The Picnic" to please any palate. I understand the advantage of food trucks and their mobility, but I wish more would take a more permanent residence at The Picnic (although 6 have been there frim the beginning). For example, it appears Ms P's Electric Cock has relocated...and I really wanted to try because of a.) the name (hoot hoot) and b.) REALLY wanted to sample some the Truffle Mac N Cheese [gosh dernit Keri B! - ;)]! Some of the current trucks are: Kebabalicious - must get the lamb kebab! Hey Cupcake! - meh. Tapa Bravas - really great tasting duck pate slider (no texture) and spicy hummus slider. Hey!...You Gonna Eat or What? - try the Monte Cristo. The Mighty Cone - haven't tried. Turf N' Surf - haven't tried. ...and a few others. So come hungry, bring some friends (all the better to buy some of everything and share with), be adventurous, bring booze, and be happy! Super fun food truck area with some retail trucks too! Hard to decide, but I ended up deciding on the Burger Truck and my boyfriend got Thai food! My lobster roll with chips & potato salad was $15 and the pad see ew my boyfriend got was only $9! I wanted to try the gelato too but maybe next time! I think all the food trucks tend to switch out every week, too. Cool place read more

A decent selection of food trucks, especially if you don't want to street park or pay to park. We had a group of 7 with us. Three got chicken in a cone and were a bit underwhelmed. Chicken was good but a bit tough and kinda weird to handle. I had a pretty good lobster roll albeit I got in Maine style and was maybe expecting a bit more seasoning and mayo. Still great though and excellent potato salad. Two other friends got pizza and a sandwich from the Italian food truck and they said their stuff was pretty good. This was the first meal we had in Austin and it was good, but I think we might have gone elsewhere if we hadn't planned this out ahead of time over some of the trucks we saw on our way. Not a bad spot though, and lots of table space. read more

Great brunch spot in Austin. I highly recommend ordering the Benedict. Every bit was so delicious and if you have a gluten allergy this is the place to come. Everything is gluten-free. read more
