My coworkers and I got together at Artipasta to celebrate Festa della Repubblica (Italy's National Day), and it was my first time trying this place. I can honestly say it won't be my last! It's a small restaurant, but it has a cozy atmosphere that made the whole experience enjoyable. The staff was amazing, friendly, attentive, and on top of everything. I absolutely loved the Pizza "Stria," a crispy flatbread topped with EVOO, sea salt, and fresh rosemary. The bruschetta and Caprese skewers were incredible. Honestly, I could've made a meal out of just those appetizers. For my entrée, I ordered the lasagna, and let me tell you...the portion was huge! I shared it with four coworkers and still had plenty left for myself. Best of all, it was absolutely delicious. Artipasta did not disappoint. I've been wanting to try Artipasta after seeing it on socials. I asked the guy what the favorites are are and he said the tagliatelle with meat sauce or the macaroni with mushroom/sausage. This is one of several food trucks in a small park area. We ordered the carbonara pasta, spaghetti with clams, and bruschetta. One of the carbonaras was forgotten, so we had to wait for it. The presentation was nice, but the food itself was disappointing. The carbonara was extremely salty, and the spaghetti with clams wasn't cooked properly--the pasta was hard, not al dente. One of my favourite Italian for truck restaurants in Austin. They offer a variety of pasta choices and my favour and is definitely the penne - it is really creamy and full of flavour. We order the pistachio ricotta for the dessert - topping off with some cream and real pistachios, I love that it is not very sweet. We ordered the food to go into my surprise is still taste really good after a while. The only downside is it might take a while for the food to get ready, and we were waiting there for 30 minutes around dinner time. Additionally, the portion is not very big and I wish that they can over a size up option. I highly recommend trying it if you are in the area. Great food! Super cozy vibe and helpful staff. The portions were a little small (great for me, I don't eat a lot, but my partner was still hungry after) I got the tagliatelle shrimp and lemon it was very yummy! I've never tried tagliatelle better, the noodles were firmer than I expected. The sauces was spectacular, well balanced. My partner got a sausage and broccoli pasta dish which was also fantastic. We ended the night with a slice of tiramisu, I thought it would be overly sweet with the chocolate drizzle and chocolate chips but it was actually not. The extra chocolate was dark chocolate and I normally don't like chocolate chips like that but it liked this extra texture. Wish there wasn't a chocolate drizzle on it, however! The pasta is always so good and fresh! I got the tagliatelle with house meat sauce and the macheroni with sausage and mushrooms. Both were creamy, saucy, and flavorful. Portion sizes are great! Just place your order at the window, grab a beeper, and have a seat until your order is ready. Good option for pasta in Austin. Easy parking, and usually the food is prepared fairly quickly. The hours are a bit inconvinient for us because they close between lunch and dinner, and we're driving home from work wishing we could pick up takeout at 4:30-5pm. If you're ready to go after 5:30 pm, this will work for you! I really love the tagliatelle with ham and peas in a creamy cheesy sauce. My husband liked the lasagna best of everything he's tried there. The spinach ravioli with brown butter & sage is also very yummy. Some of the dishes we've tried lacked a little punch, but the quality is always top notch - thus the pricing. read more

Artipasta sits in a family-friendly food truck park in the south of Austin. Love the ambiance, especially in the springtime when the weather is not too hot. We got gnocchi with tomato sauce and fusilli with house meat sauce. We made the mistake of ordering online to try and save time when we got there. The prices online are hiked by $2-3 for each dish you order on top of whatever convenience fee and tip is added. This isn't transparent and we didn't realize until we got to the food truck and noticed the prices were different. It ended up being around $40 for 2 dishes. Now, the gnocchi with tomato sauce was pretty good when we first got it, the sourness and acidity of the tomato sauce complemented the chewiness of the gnocchi and the cheese on top. The basil was amazing as well, probably the best part of the meal. However, besides the basil, it felt like I was eating carbs + sauce without any other substance, which felt somewhat underwhelming. The fusilli with meat sauce was okay at first; the meat sauce was savory but the pasta was bland. After letting the pasta soak in the meat sauce for a bit, the flavor improved greatly, bringing the overall dish from a 3/5 to a 4/5. Quantity-wise, I was hoping for more, especially considering the price, but the quality was decent (discounted a star due to lack of transparency in pricing). Overall, I would probably try the brick and mortar restaurant sometime to give Artipasta another shot. read more

Artilasta is located in a lot off S 1st St with a bunch of cool food trucks that I havent tried: cheesecake bites, vietnamese food, brooklyn breakfast?!, juices, etc.. I ordered the Lasagna, which was good but straightforward, sticking to their personal recipe of a traditional home-cooked taste. Macaroni with sausage and mushrooms - this was definitely not a favorite. The macaroni shape was just not that good. There was a lot to try to pick up with a fork. And if you want to leave room for dessert, I feel like one pasta could be split into two meals. I wasn't the biggest fan of the actual menu itself though. It's three sheets of paper stapled together which isn't a big deal. But it doesn't list any of the prices, have any pictures, or list any descriptions of the different menu options. For some, all of the ingredients are in the name so it's not that needed. But there are a certain few with names that you might need to look up. The best pasta in Austin, hands down. Arti pasta is tucked away in Thicket Food Park on S First street. All the entrees I've had are amazing but my top favs are the sausage and mushroom macaroni and the gnocchi. The wait can sometimes be a little lengthy but that's because the pasta is made fresh to order. Worth the wait! When I'm having a pasta craving this gem is always my go to. I've been coming here for years now so I feel as if I am being as fair as possible with this review. The first couple of years, AMAZING! The pasta is first class, the sauces were amazing, and the service was great. Sure, the pricing just keeps trending up, but that is the thing these days, so I get it. What I don't like to see is that the pricing goes up at the same time of the quality going down and that sums up my latest experience. $19 for pasta and no drink that is pretty on par with Olive Garden is not good. The pasta was okay, but seemed like it wasn't cooked fresh, and instead of a beautiful, creamy sauce, it was far too thick, almost like it had been sitting in a pot for hours waiting to get dished out. Think "warm gravy on a buffet line" consistency. On top of the food, it seems like our order also got forgotten as people that went to the window long after us, got their food quite awhile before us. I'll gladly pay $20 for pasta and sauce, but the product and service has to hold up. My last trip there, neither one was even above average for the money. read more

The owners are from Mantova, a city in Norther Italy and even though not all the ingredients are imported, they were able to recreate the original Italian flavors that you'd find if you go to Italy. It's a little hidden and they recently open this place this year Jan/Feb time. We came here Friday night for a good meal. We didn't know what to order so we ask the cashier. She was very nice and courteous. She recommends some dishes and it was really good. We also order the tiramisu and was really good too. The price was very good priced relatively for Italian food. I cry myself to sleep every time I crave Artipasta on a Monday. This is *the* pasta place in all of Austin! I personally recommend the maccheroni pasta with their truffle oil and mushroom. It's a staple and oh so filling! I also love their tomato sauce which you can't go wrong with penne or spaghetti as your pasta. It's tangy but not overly acidic. And I love the dollop of mozzarella they top it off with. Their tiramisu is to die for. It's light but so tasty with some light coffee flavor. I haven't been to Italy but man, but this place really makes me want to go! I like to call in for take out since they don't seem to have the truffle oil and mushroom pasta on their DoorDash or Uber eats app (please please look into putting it on there). Sometimes it can be a bit of wait at the Thicket location but I think it's worth it. I love pasta. I REALLY love fresh pasta. Like I will dogmatically insist to anyone who'll listen that fresh pasta makes all the difference in a dish. So I was really excited about Artipasta. I've tried it twice now and been highly disappointed. To me, the pasta is way too dense and chewy. And not, like, pleasantly "toothy," just... dense. I also find the sauces excessively rich and greasy, with the oil separating from the sauce both times I was there, but also under seasoned.
