Finally came here for Pizza, and just like Nextdoor at It's Italian Cucina, the food and service were spot on. The Roman style stone fired pizzas were fantastic soft and crispy at the same time, and the special olive oil drizzle was the cherry on top. The toppings are bountiful and the taste- Mama Mia finger licking good. 2 medium pizzas fed three of us with leftovers for the next day, if they survive the late night snack attack. Will order the individual pizzas next time, just to try more of their other special pies.

I hate to say this because I never leave bad reviews. But this was truly the worst pizza I've ever had. Lunchables are better.

There were very few tables open when we arrived, and even leaving closer to 7 there were still a good number of open tables. We found service to be fast and very friendly/attentive. We started with a timballo appetizer, which came stuffed with brisket and was really good! I'd never heard of timballo before, and from googling it appears theirs is quite a bit different than what you'd likely find elsewhere. Theirs is made primarily of risotto fried into a puck shape. It was really yummy and I'd definitely recommend. We the shared a pizza and pasta for the main course. We had a braised pork gnocchi for the pasta. It was solid, but probably my least favorite part of the meal. The gnocchi was very light and had more of a fall apart texture. The braised pork really overpowered any other flavors, and made it a bit of a one note dish We had a cambozola pizza with mushrooms and caramelized onions that was really good! Much less funky than I was expecting, but still a great flavor combination. There were quite a few intriguing pizza options, and you get much more quantity for a similar price than the pasta. I'll probably lean more in the pizza direction in the future For dessert we tried a few of the chocolate truffles which came highly recommended. I appreciate that they also gave some samples of a vanilla chai chocolate bark before we ordered dessert. The truffles were very rich and chocolatey, but the flavor notes were honestly hard to notice. I was particularly surprised that a white chocolate lemon truffle (still covered in non-white chocolate on the outside) was much more chocolatey than anything else I will also say that the service was some of the best I've experienced in Austin. Our server was super friendly, gave helpful recommendations, and was very on top of clearing our plates between courses. Overall I had a very good experience and would definitely recommend giving them a try if you live in Austin and are looking for a nicer Italian spot!

I came with a very large party of 10. It was August in Austin, so it was extremely hot, but they sat us outside. There were can with water spritz around of table, but the water spritzing became too much, so we asked to turn it off. Without the fan, we could feel the heat!! Also, when it got dark outside, it was very hard to see in front of us. This was my only complaint because everything else was perfect! I just wish the dining area was better. The menu is pretty small and there aren't a ton of variety options to pick from. I like this though! To me, it shows that they care what they are putting out. Quality over quantity. We got the bread appetizer and the fruit salad appetizer. The bread so was amazing with the whipped ricotta cream. The bread (I think was foccia) was amazing and fluffy and I could have had three order of this lol. The local fruit salad was a little spicy for me, which I wasn't expecting, but it was very refreshing! For my entree, I got the ravioli with red fish inside. I wasn't expecting the fish to be in the ravioli, but it was delicious and actually very filling. I could taste the quality of the pasta in every bite. It was light and airy but filling. I wish there were more raviolis because it was delicious. This was a very delicious experience.

The complementary bread was somewhat lacking. Being Italian myself I found it just OK. We all had drinks and although I ordered two different speciality drinks, both were the same. I think our waitress got confused. She seemed to be having trouble with the tablet or she was new and was just figuring it out. The service was a little slow with me asking for a water refill and the waitress returning to fill only one of our group's glass. LOL. The inside was nice and it had a comfortable feel. Our total with tip was $400. It is definitely not someplace I would visit often due to the total, but we did have two apps and several drinks so that's on us I guess.

It was incredibly loud, to the point that we could barely hear our server. Definitely something to keep in mind if you're looking for a quiet, intimate dinner. It can feel a little crowded, and while the restaurant is nice enough, there's nothing about the ambiance that really stands out to me. Service | 3/5 The service has been pretty average during my visits. The staff does their job, but nobody seems particularly enthusiastic or excited to be there. Nothing necessarily wrong with the service, just nothing that stands out either. Food | 4/5 First of all, the kale and goat cheese salad with dates?! Hands down the BEST salad I've ever had in my entire life. I'm not exaggerating when I say I could eat this salad EVERY SINGLE DAY! SOOOOO GOOD! The combination of flavors and textures is incredible. The sweetness from the dates paired with the goat cheese and kale works so well. I genuinely cannot get enough of it! Now, the lasagna was a different story. The pasta layers were extremely thin and soft, and the overall consistency was too soupy for my liking. I personally prefer a firmer, more structured lasagna that holds together when you cut into it. It wasn't necessarily bad, just not my preference, and I wouldn't order it again. The parm bread is another item that looks better than it actually tastes. It's okay, but nothing particularly special. It also gets hard pretty quickly, which takes away from the experience. Desserts | 5/5 Their desserts are always FIRE! I've consistently enjoyed the desserts here, and they're definitely one of the highlights of the menu for me. Drinks | 3/5 I've tried their cocktails, and they're okay, but I'm honestly not a huge fan of their drink selection. It's just not my preferred style of cocktails. North Italia isn't somewhere I'd go specifically for drinks. If I decide to drink while I'm here, I typically stick to wine. Overall Experience | 4/5

Such a good find in Austin!…read more If you're ever craving pasta, this is the place to stop by. We went on a Thursday night and it was pretty busy, but everyone who came in was still able to get a table. It feels very authentic. No Italian-American staples like Alfredo, meatballs, or garlic bread, which was actually refreshing since I'm so used to that style. You can either sit down first and take your time with the menu, or order in line before grabbing a table. Either way, they're very chill about it. Another cool thing: they're BYOB and will even cork it for you. Saw other guests bring their own glasses too, which was a nice touch. The pasta is clearly fresh. I'd recommend the macaroni with mushrooms and sausage. I got the tagliatelle with lemon shrimp cream sauce and loved it, though now I'm curious to try one of their non-cream-based sauces next time. Also spotted another table's lasagna go by and the portion was huge. Already excited to go back next time I'm in Austin. Definitely check this spot out!
