    Pepperoni, sausage and meatballs pizza
    Armand D.

Being from the East coast and always looking for a good pizza, I decided to try this place. I ordered a pizza with pepperoni, sausage and meatballs. I thought it would be loaded with meat but was very disappointed. Why be stingy with the toppings when someone is paying $23 for a pizza? The crust took up 1/3 of the pie where there could have been more pizza and toppings. I also ordered a large cheese steak. It was pretty good. Close to what I had growing up in Philadelphia. I had it simple with provalone, mushrooms and no onions. Would have gotten more toppings on a DiGiorno pizza for $5.99.

Went here for a friend's birthday. The staff was amazing and even flipped a hi ch chair over so our 4 month baby could sit at the table with us. I was surprised how good the food was. We tried the cheese steaks, pizza and calzone. The Philly French dip with provolone was my favorite. The original calzone was tasty and the pizza had a great flavor but I'm more of a Ny style fan and this pizza was a little soggy in the middle. I'll definitely be back for the Philly cheesesteaks!

Had a craving for french dip and was surprised to see one at Grata's. Great value at $10 with an option to add double meat $4 upcharge. Will do next time. Also tried caprese salad which was served on arugula with balsamic glaze. Nice patio space and contactless ordering system

Came here for the first time the other day. It's definitely very relaxed sports bar vibe and not many servers at all, however really appreciated ours as she was juggling a lot of tables and trying to move as fast as she could. We ordered the original calzone (great dough to filling ratio). Ordered the Caesar salad - do not recommend. Super basic and plain. Ordered the Roma pizza - unfortunately ours was so soggy we could barely lift the slice but the taste was great!

Got the sweet and spicy pizza and the Philly special! Both were really good. I don't usually like eating crusts but I like how this pizza crust was soft, so I was able to finish. Philly cheesesteak is also oozing with cheese! Love that. Parking is available for customers! They have a small lot. Can order from a server or the QR code on the table.

I was looking for a new Philly Cheesesteak place and I found it. We were immediately greeted upon entering the restaurant. Brandon went over the menu with us and got us really excited to try the food. We were not disappointed we both got the Philly Special and I added sweet peppers. I had the tea which was really good I love a strong black tea I only wish it came in a bigger glass I kept needing refills. The restrooms were really clean and this was at dinner time around 7pm. Over all we loved it and can't wait to go back.

I was part of a large group and we received excellent service and yummy food. The Bianca is no longer on the menu but they were happy to prepare one for me. It exceeded my expectations. Plenty of parking and clean restrooms. Spacious indoor and outdoor seating. It's across S. Lamar from Matt's but I never noticed it before. Love their happy hour deals.

Came here for eagles football Sunday. Dana with her "gluten free buns" was great. Everything is ordered on your phone through a QR code and you keep a running tab until you're ready to pay. Don't order 3 garlic knots. You must order 6 bc the 3 is not enough. Pizza rolls are the perfect size if you're the only one eating pizza. They do have gluten free crusts and dairy free cheese for the pizza but no gluten free buns for the sandwich's

Food was good but pizza need about another 3 mins in oven. Philly were good. Probably would go back.

Stopped in here during SXSW when I was driving by and saw some live music outdoors in their front. The inside was a little in need of a little upkeep. For example, none of the regular low top tables that were available were even and there were heaps of parmesan packets on the floor from people trying to even out the tables. Given this, I was surprised by how fresh and tasty the salad and pizza were. I would come back for sure if I wanted to grab a couple beers and a pizza!

Great neighborhood bar w delicious pizza. Salads and sandwiches looked very good, too, which means a return trip for me! Can't wait!

    Gratas parking lot! Loved it!

It's been some time since I found a decent cheesesteak in Austin. I was recommended to try Gratas. I drove up and parked with signs for PHILLY fans only. Ok now we are talking. I ordered my usual pizza steak with onions and hot peppers, sauce on top. Gratas is serious about their sandwiches by bringing in meat and bread dough from Philly. The steak was decent but not epic. I had two major issues. The bread is too soft. There is no crust to the bread and that chewy bread is a must for a great steak sandwich. Number two is Gratas mixes their add ons into the steak. A great sandwich has the meat and cheese mixed or melted as the base. The onions, peppers, sauce and anything else is an add to the top item. Never mixed in. My sandwich was a mix of everything. It killed the base taste of meat and cheese we Philadelphians enjoy. I hope they trial this method. I think it would improve the sandwich. I will return as the people were extremely nice, passionate, and I did not get to try the pizza. Until next time!

The Margherita pie at Grata's Pizzeria lands at a 6.8 for me. While the crust had a nice crisp and chew, the overall execution was lacking. The pie needed more mozzarella--there just wasn't enough to create that rich, creamy texture that makes a great Margherita stand out. On top of that, the basil was a letdown. It didn't seem fresh and was cooked into the pizza instead of being added after, which took away from that vibrant, herbaceous note you typically expect. The sauce was fresh but could use a bit more seasoning to round it out. There's potential here, but it missed the mark this time.

It's a rainy night in Austin. My girlfriend is in town because my cousin and her fiancé are getting…read moremarried in Austin. It's also the weekend of our one year anniversary. An hour ago it wasn't raining, but now it's pouring. A few months ago, I heard of a newer bar and experience called Equipment Room just right off of South Congress. Music means everything to me. Nothing can express emotions and instill a feeling in 3 minutes like a song can. I live for that. Equipment Room is inherently Japanese in concept. Existing in Japan for over 50 years, listening bars combine high fidelity audio equipment with impressively crafted cocktails and alcohol combining the passion of music in a space to gather with comfortable chairs and a beautiful atmosphere. The concept has expanded westward as all cool things inevitably do, but I would never think a spot would be successful in Austin like it would be in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, and so on. As I back my car into a parking spot on South Congress, I grab the umbrella out of my trunk and walk my girlfriend and me to the entrance trying to not get ourselves soaked in the process. This is not the first time we have tried to go to Equipment Room. We tried to get a walk-in table just to see out of morbid curiosity and that was a failure. I booked her and me a table for this night and I was madly looking forward to it. As we got to the small entrance, we were introduced to the hostess who brought us from the stairs into the main underground space and to our seats on the couch in a large wraparound sofa with other parties sitting near us. The music is faint from the entrance, but once you walk through the main walkway, a wave of sound hits your eardrums. You're immediately engrossed into the music like walking into a concert hall or putting a fresh pair of headphones on for the first time. As we sat down, selections from Outkast's Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik were playing through the speakers. Our hostess introduced us to their "User Manual" (their menu) where it contained all the snacks and drinks you could get your grubby hands on. There's more than just drinks and food on the menu. The first page introduces the concept and gives a few house rules. The second page shows all the equipment this so-called room has, from the premium Klipsch speakers, their preamps and amplifiers as well as their turntables and mixers. It's a dream page for music nerds. I want a $15k speaker in my apartment, but those noise complaints would never end. Our waitress came by shortly to give us water and take our order. Their menu is quite expansive, but the main pages we were told to check out were their A-side drinks or the classics and their B-side drinks, which are more experimental. We had to go with experimental for starters because who knows when you'll get to try something similar again. I started with a Goca Dünya while my girlfriend ordered a Deceptacon. The Goca Dünya was a vodka based floral drink with pistachio foam and Amaro Nonino, an Italian herbal liqueur. The Deceptacon was a rum-based cacao drink with a touch of lime and mint. It took a little time for our drinks to come out, clearly, as they are quite intricate. I loved my drink, bluntly. The pistachio foam was a great balance to the herbal flavors at the bottom. My girlfriend and I continued to enjoy each other's company as the music continued. The space we were in was decorated with posters and memorabilia from legendary artists coming through Austin and some general music decor like that purple album from that Prince guy. The DJ-curator that night was on a tear playing incredible soul music holding the bar hostage with a taste of funk. Jimmy Smith came next before transitioning to a few tracks from Bobbie Gentry. The last albums he pulled out were Steely Dan's Aja (a stone cold classic) and Stevie Wonder's Songs in the Key of Life (a top 10 album of all time). Not only was he playing classics like Isn't She Lovely, but he threw down some deeper cuts like Black Man and Contusion. Incredible. We both got another drink with my girlfriend getting their A-Side Espresso Martini while I got the Brown Sugar from their B-Sides. It was a seaweed and mushroom infused whiskey with a few more bells and whistles and it was super unique. Quite a bit of their menu is Japanese-inspired in homage to the originators of listening bars. This includes Japanese beer, sake, and Japanese-inspired food and beverages on their menu. Very cool. The worst part of the night came when our hour and 45 minute reservation came to a close. I could've stayed there for another 3 hours and never grown tired, but with how popular this space has become, they gotta kick you out at some point. This is an experience you have to have. It's worth it. I'll be strolling back in soon enough because there is nothing like this in Austin and it's truly a special space. RIYL: Actively listening to music.

They were all delicious and they did not skimp on the alcohol! It was well balanced! I seriously recommend the Goca Dünya--that pistachio foam was addictive! For food, we got the Cheese board to have something to pick on and we demolished it, haha. It came with marmalade and crackers. The cheeses were great, along with the dried fruits and nuts. The cheese selections seem to rotate every other season, which is cool.
