Great place to hangout with friends and with great selection of beers and cocktails, you can rarely go wrong. The atmosphere is relaxing and the decor is cool & funky place. The staff is friendly & attentive plus they do have a bbq food truck outside and the foods are very delish. We're early for some foods and Bloody Mary before heading to the airport. Great place.

BREAKING: Sundays are now the best day of the week. Because at The Corner Bar in Austin, you can spend just $15 at the bar and walk away with a plate of Brown's BBQ that will make your taste buds cry happy tears. Yes, this is real. Yes,it only happens on Sundays. Yes, it's dog-friendly, so bring your pup and your appetite. Let's talk about that food for a second. The brisket: melt-in-your-mouth, smoky, juicy perfection. It practically shreds itself out of respect. The mac & cheese: creamy, rich, and cheesy enough to make you rethink all other versions of mac & cheese you've ever had. The coleslaw: bright, crunchy, and the perfect tangy counterbalance to all the meat and cheese. Honestly? Slaw doesn't usually excite me, but this one got me. Together, they form the BBQ trinity you didn't know you needed. The bar itself No fluff, all fun. The drinks are affordable, strong, and served up by friendly bartenders who don't judge when you whisper "Can I get my BBQ plate now?" after your second drink. And yes -- dogs are 100% welcome. I was surrounded by tail-wagging approval as I devoured my brisket. If my dog could write Yelp reviews, she'd give it 5 paws. TL;DR: Spend $15. Eat BBQ that tastes like it was made by pitmaster angels. Hang out with dogs. Drink cheap beer. Question every other way you've ever spent a Sunday. Brilliant Dining

Parking is tough to find here. The indoor space leaves the doors open and lets the fresh air in. The drinks are good. The bartenders are hip. The best thing about it is the Kiin Di food truck in its parking lot, which serves the best Thai food i've ever had (and I've had a lot). The worst thing about it was the other food truck in their parking lot, Native Austin BBQ, because that food truck blasts its own music, which clashed with and made it impossible to enjoy the music coming from the bar. Sitting on the porch of the bar was like listening to a way of sound waves. That said, it's a great bar :-)

It's a bar. It's on a corner. It has a couple food trailers. Bartenders are cool and the drinks are cheap. It does get busy and can take a while to order. Another employee or two would probably get them another star.

    Lazy days....and cold beer!

Wonderful little "do drop in bar" Strong assortment of craft beers on tap and strong likker pours. There are daily specials and if you hurry they offer some unique holiday cocktails. Grab a bag of gratis popcorn go sit out on the patio and watch the show on South Lamar. There is a BBQ trailer out front but it were closed the day we were there. There are a few TVs inside and out if you want to catch a game. Friendly service, a great chill atmosphere, and good cocktails make the corner bar a great venue to get your drank on.

Great experience here- smaller bar but has big TV screens, great food trucks in the parking lot, and the staff was very friendly. Highlight was the cold brew Irish coffee- highly recommend!

When you come to a place like this you don't expect to get the real moment but the biggest moment about this bar is the people that surround being.

It's a decent bar with decent staff. The parking can be an issue. I don't have more to say beyond that but I had to hit the minimum.

My favorite part was the DJ was also playing electric guitar to accompany some of the songs in his lineup. It was really cool. I've never seen a DJ do that before. We waited maybe 15 minutes at the walk-in line as others progressively started to pile on behind us. Then again, even people in the reservation line were waiting. This is definitely the kind of place that wants you to wait. The kind of place that wants to build a line outdoors to intrigue onlookers. We were treated nicely, but we definitely could have gotten in right away. By the time we walked in, the place was probably at 60% capacity. It was standing room only at the bar, but not overcrowded by any means. There is a dress code, but it's not entirely clear what it is. Some guy dressed to the 9s got turned away for not having sleeves whereas I got in with sneakers and a t-shirt. They ask for your cellphones upon entering and give you a key in exchange, but there doesn't seem to be any security to enforce it if you don't want to give them up. I have no problem with their policy, but I bet a lot of customers do. Interestingly, their little social experiment seemed to have a positive effect, where we ended up talking to strangers and vice versa. The Powder Room may be making America social again.

There's enough of a vibe for this place to feel lively even when it's mostly empty, yet it also avoids the earsplitting noise that may come with a more crowded venue. The bartenders are amicable, and the menu showcases some creative - and creatively named - cocktails. Lara went with a Moon Song (rum, blackberry, lime, and honey with lavender cold foam) and an espresso martini and enjoyed both. I opted for a zero proof drink: the high and mighty (agave, nonalcoholic ginger and floral liqueurs, jasmine tea, and spiced salt). It was refreshing but didn't quite hit the mark for me. What should have been complex and balanced came across as overly floral. All told, Marlow is worth a visit even if it is unlikely to wow you.

The bartender claimed I was drunk and cut me off anyway. I was at the bar talking to a girl while waiting to get a drink (the wait was long because the service is very slow, despite the bar not being very busy at all). She was clearly into me, and the bartender kept jumping in trying to talk to her too (instead of doing his job making drinks). He was doing all sorts of things to try and flirt with her and make her laugh: pulling out and showing her buckets of pre mixed cocktails, running and sliding under the bar, etc. She was engaging with both of us , and right in the middle of that, I get cut off out of nowhere. No explanation other than claiming I looked drunk, which I very clearly wasn't. It felt very clear what was going on--he wanted me out of the way. I left and asked the bouncer on my way out if I seemed drunk. This was literally two minutes later. He said no, not at all, and asked me why I would even ask that. I then told him exactly what happened and asked him to let the owner or whoever was in charge know about this extremely unprofessional conduct so they can discipline the bartender. His response was that the bartender has discretion to cut anyone off, and let me know the bartender is supposedly married so he couldn't have been flirting with any of the customers. Well, sounds like his logic is flawed--not only COULD he flirt with his customers, he WAS, and was therefore cheating. I hope his wife finds out. This is perfectly representative of Austin customer service lately and not normal in other places. I was in Tampa for an entire month earlier this year and this would've been unthinkable there. I'm not coming back.
