This was my first time exploring W 6th for NFL Sunday. Though I wouldn't say I'm a die hard fan for one team, it's cool to support several that I'm familiar with. While most Austin bars are team-specific (e.g. Little Woodrow's is Seattle Seahawks), they still do broadcast other games on multiple screens. I wish there was more indoor seating because of how hot it was outside, but the cooling fans definitely helped assuage some discomfort. The bathrooms were clean although you have to be careful opening doors & exiting stalls due to the small space and tight corners. On their menu they had a Dirty Soda Orange Dreamsicle drink made with vodka I wanted to try but they didn't have the ingredients. Oh well, I was able to pivot to a healthier non-alcoholic beer. My bartender recommended the Heineken which I did enjoy. They also only have 1 food option on site (tacos), but there is a Via 313 across the street if you're craving something else. I will say the chips from the OneTaco truck did look tasty/crispy! read more

This sports bar has good vibes for socializing. We did note the prices were higher than expected for an Austin sports bar. The only cider they had on draft was the original Austin Eastcider, so I got a glass of it for over $8. My friends got their cocktails, and they complained about the price. They got the frozen woody, which was reportedly okay, and the watermelon colada, which was "delicious but expensive." Apparently the men's bathroom has a toilet with no stall around it. That's like negative 10000 aura for this bar because that sounds nightmare inducing. Thus, I must drop my rating significantly. read more

We had company from Toronto and he loves being outdoors so we stopped in at Little Woodrow's for a pint (or three). We've always loved this place to watch football! Great outdoor area with plenty of tv's with various games playing. The bartender on Sunday is so cool! She's always really friendly and patient. Our friend is THAT person that wants to know everything about a beer! Gotta love 'em. Great selections of beer and they have a taco truck but we've not had any food there. read more

FAV BAR ON W 6TH! Great spot to meet up with friends in central Austin, doesn't matter which side of the river you live on. The patio and downtown view are unbeatable when weather is right!! Stopped by for a beer and catch a ball game, the world series. Was surprised to see the low turnout. Probably TX didn't qualify to the world series? Not sure. Yankees did sure make a come-back in this match. The place was super spacious, had outdoor seating with lights and TVs everywhere. Great selection of beer and game of darts. Our company was hosting a happy hour here so we stopped by to hang out with our coworkers. Little Woodrow's was able to accommodate everyone given how big the space was. Everyone was spread out and it was easy to move around. Cocktails here are okay but can't complaint given the price point. We got a Long Island Ice Tea ($11), AMF, and Cosmopolitan. The first two was not bad but the Cosmo tasted terrible so avoid that one. read more

I was at this bar last Saturday late afternoon and was shocked by the nasty treatment which I received, for no reason. I was completely normal, had no drinks before and didn't cause ANY trouble at all. As I was walking towards this bar I saw a person (male, African American, in his 40s) shouting at me across the street for no reason, before I entered the bar. I thought he was just a mentally ill person, so I ignored it but later saw him serving behind the bar! He started saying some really nasty and racist things about me, loud and intentionally, to a female bartender who was serving me. I just looked at him (wondering why someone would be this low and hateful when I've not done anything wrong to him), then he walked away because he apparently didn't have the courage to say those things to my face. The female employee was complicit in this bullying too, laughing along with him, made fun of my name and even high fived that guy! I never experienced such a nasty, racist and poor treatment in Austin before, and I will never go back to this bar again. There are some much better places in town who treat their patrons with respect and dignity. This is a great outdoor bar with cheap drinks and good service. There's fans on the patio and they spray water so it's pretty cool even in the summer. Great if you like to bring your dog out with you. Always a good vibes and it fills up on weekends. I've been coming here for years before moving away from Texas and it was nice to return to the same great place. read more

Came to watch the World Cup Finals here. It was a beautiful day to be out on their patio and enjoy a few drinks. Mimosa carafe was $28 . A little high for my liking, buuut oh well I suppose. Worst bar on 6th. My husband and I came in after a Texas longhorns game claims I was too " intoxicated " according to the manager Tristan and this guy in a blue shirt was very rude and disrespectful. I am pregnant and can not drink and was still now allowed in is crazy. read more

I have been to Little Woodrows in south Austin which I am not a fan of but this location was way better. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor has heat lamps and a cover. There are tons of TV for viewing and most people were enjoying the football game on a Saturday night. Most people were enjoying tacos from the food truck but you also had the option of getting other food from across the street (Via 313). I will not the music was super loud and they played very old-school music from the 90s and early 2000s music. read more

Great sports bar with plenty of outdoor seating right on 6th street. We stopped by after the Champion's League final to catch some of the UFC fights. There's several TVs surrounding the space playing different sports, so there's something for everyone. If you're with a big group and don't mind bottled beers, you can order a bucket for cheaper! read more

Great bar for outdoor drinks in a fun atmosphere! The bar is mostly a massive outdoor space, with plenty of tables and chairs. There are also multiple bars throughout the space, and the bartenders are friendly and efficient. And there's a very tasty taco truck attached to the bar to satisfy drunken taco cravings. The last time we were at LW's is in the summer of 2014. We were out with some family members and had a blast. The drinks were flowing...the actual bar was inviting and exciting. The bartenders were kick a$$! My recollection is that the bill was super reasonable. I do recall the parking being challenging but not challenging enough to stop us from going in. Back then that area wasn't as congested as it is today. We definitely will return once Covid subsides.... No complaints; nothing to report bad. LW is a great bar venue. read more

This place is a very solid go to bar. We visit from Cali often and stay down the street. The service is unbeatable. The bartenders remember us we we come back in town. Miley and Valerie are amazing awesome!!!! All the locals we have met are very nice. They even have a local giant pit bull that comes in and is SUPER friendly. read more

The white male bouncer with medium curly brown hair and a beard refused to let me inside the club because I had a loud voice. Even though I had clarified that I was sober he still refused to let in. I believe the fact that I'm an African American woman with a "loud" voice gave this man enough of an excuse to not let me in. This is absolutely not acceptable. This place is wonderful for Sunday football viewing! The atmosphere is fun and they allow dogs. They have plenty of tv screens, a taco truck on site, and decently priced drinks. They have a variety of games on and even when they couldn't get one on the tv for us, they put it on the speakers. At least the tried! The waitresses are friendly and service is quick. My husband and I came here while on vacation so he could watch the fight on Saturday night. The place was pretty packed but we were able to find 2 seats and see the TVs well. The staff is super friendly and they have quick service. The guys were constantly walking around clear tables and wiping down the tables as I watched several groups come and go. I thought that prices were very reasonable and the taste was good enough. We learned that the Rustic Tap is an LSU bar and they host a lot of the game watches. We've only ever gotten beer there so can't say much about whether or not they have a heavy hand when they pour. As always this place is on 6th so drink responsibly and Uber to and from (parking around there is a nightmare anyways). The Rustic Tap is one of the most fun bars in the area and is a great place to either start or end your night, either way you'll somehow end up there regardless.

The venue itself has a lively, open feel with an urban backyard vibe and plenty of space to move around, mingle, and actually take in the installation without feeling crowded. What stood out most was how well the space complemented the event. The layout made it easy to engage with the installation while still enjoying the social vibe. They had space for working virtually as well as displays to test some of the technology. There's a nice balance between indoor comfort and that signature rooftop-style setting, which gives it a relaxed but elevated feel. The staff was friendly and kept things running smoothly, and the overall setup felt thoughtfully organized. Whether you were there to focus on the installation or just take it in casually, the environment supported both. The line was somewhat long to get into the event as it was at capacity and could only allow more people as people were leaving the event. I was given a drink ticket and got to try the Patio Pounder with ilegal mezcal, primo aperitivo, tropical citrus, coconut, grapefruit soda. The bartender was efficient even though the lines were long. The cocktail was enjoyable with the balance of smoky and citrus flavors. They also had a variety of food bites available including chips and queso. creamy street corn, and sliders. The food was gone relatively quickly due to the crowds but it would be replenished periodically. Overall, Upstairs at Caroline proved to be a solid venue for a creative SXSW event versatile, welcoming, and very on-brand for Austin's arts and tech scene.

So we thought we would make a whole night of it. Tiffany did make reservations for us for 7pm and even though this is a bar hopping neighborhood, even at 7pm it was pretty busy. Streets were full of people. Anthem had a vibe. I felt the energy as soon as I waked in. The cozy booths with the U shaped seating with plush green velvet fabric. Wait staff wore Hawaiian shirts. Sitting up behind me on a ledge was the Easter Island statue. Insert (Night At The Museum) here, dumb dumb give me gum gum. Anthem was our first stop tonight. Just drinks and a dinner. I ordered the Peach Fuzzy drink. Not too sweet, refreshing, peachy, and beautiful garnish of a flower. I ordered the Yummy Fries which looked like a salad. Gorgeous presentation. Fries were actually waffle sweet potatoes. Pickled ginger, sesame seeds, furikake, aïoli and a few other wonderful ingredients. Could not get over how beautiful everything looked. Presentation outstanding. Service delightful. Had a wonderful time at Anthem. We both did use the ladies rooms before leaving. Inside the bathroom there is a sign about safety and if you need assistants. I did take a picture of it. On our way out, Brian the manager, said good night to us and waved. We later saw Brian at another place. And I'll write about that in my review for that place as well. Brian, you're Doll, thank you for your hospitality.

There's minimal seating inside, but outside there's tons of benches. They even extended the back area with a tent. There's a little play area for kids as well. I love getting spicy boys when I'm here. Plenty of parking and overall a good time
