Our friend picked up the food so I can't speak to the wait time so the rating is purely based on the food. The O.G. Sourdough Pizza ($21.50) + Vegan Cheese ($5): Charred Ezzo pepperoni, spicy red sauce, house blend cheese, basil, spicy honey, and ricotta. This was delicious! I loved the crispy crust and the well-balanced flavors. I can see why it's a fan favorite. Moonshot Sourdough Pizza ($23.50): Spicy Italian sausage, charred Ezzo pepperoni, fennel Tuscano salami, spicy red sauce, house blend cheese, shaved speck, and dried herb blend. This was good but didn't quite live up to the O.G. The flavors were a bit more homogenous. Deviled Eggs ($12): Came with 6 pickled eggs, hot pickle aioli, apricot mostarda, Creole crackers, and chives. I wasn't a fan of the pickled egg taste, but everything else about the dish was good.
I am not sure why south Austin has many breweries...they just do. I arrived early to a Yelp event and decided to explore what the breweries "to do" was all about. First stop, Pinthouse Brewing. This a gigantic space including a upstairs...cavernous with super high ceilings. It has an industrial look with a greenery twist. Pinthouse Brewing is known for its superior craft beer. Their Electric Jellyfish Hazy IPA appears to be a fan favorite. The brewery offers over 20 beers on tap, including seasonal and experimental brews. Pinthouse delivers beers for every beer palate - IPAs, stouts, or lighter ales. In full transparency, I'm not a beer connoisseur. Did I fall madly in love with Pinthouse beer. No. However, there was a constant, strong flow of folks coming into the brewery, which speaks for itself. Pinthouse also hosts a happy hour and offer stout cake. Did I have any stout cake? Nope...not that brave today but maybe in the future. In addition they host private events. Today, Communities in Schools was having a private team event, Overall, chill vibe.
I had no idea that Pinthouse had Detroit style pizza at this location. I ordered the cheese pie and it was good. The sauce was a little spicy for my taste but I still very much enjoyed it. The staff was nice and helpful. I ordered using the QR code on the table. Drinks came right away! Plenty of seating inside. This place is big! It feels like a warehouse. I also had no trouble parking. There were a good amount of spots. The location is solid with easy access to 35.
Pinthouse Brewing is a massive space and very loud atmosphere. The Detroit-style pizza was doughy but still tasty, and the beer selection is plentiful. The chicken wings were very small but tasty. The service was less than friendly, but it's a fun spot if you're mainly going for the beer and don't mind the noise.
Pinthouse Brewing is everything you want in a local brewery--laid-back, welcoming, and consistently delicious. The food goes way beyond typical pub fare. Their pizzas are next-level (get the Armadillo if you like a little heat), and the beer cheese and pretzel combo is dangerously good. You can tell they put as much care into their food as they do their brews. Service is always solid, even when the place is packed. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable about the beer menu, and quick to offer recommendations without being pushy. It never feels rushed, just easygoing and efficient. The ambiance is exactly what you want in a brewpub--lively but not chaotic, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. It's the kind of place that works whether you're flying solo with a pint or showing off Austin to out-of-towners. Between the great food, relaxed vibe, and killer beer lineup, Pinthouse always delivers.

At the other Pinthouses, you'll find a plethora of pizzas served New York style. At the Ben White location, you'll find a variety of food including sandwiches and unique Detroit styled pies. There's seating indoors, but most of their dining space is in a covered open air warehouse surrounding the brewery. For those who would like to see the brewery in depth, you can also schedule to take a tour. Drinks: The classic Electric Jellyfish lives here, but I think the other beers don't get enough attention. A close second would be the Training Bines. Food: I ordered the OG and was in love with it. It was spicy and sweet and the dollops of ricotta was the icing to it all. Speaking of... if you love rich chocolate, a must is the Chocolate Stout Cake.
Some places serve good food. Others serve good beer. Pinthouse punches you in the face with both and you thank them for it. Let's talk food first. The Moonshot pizza is dangerously good. That chewy, charred crust feels like it was kissed by fire gods. Toppings in perfect harmony. It's not reinventing the wheel, it is the damn wheel!!! Cajun wings come out piping hot, seasoned like someone in the back actually cares, and the Italian Grinder? A heavy hitter and oozing with sharp provolone, peppery meat, and zero regrets. But the secret weapon? The Scorpion Disco West Coast IPA. One sip and you're hooked, aroma bursting with strawberry, gooseberry, blueberry, papaya. It smells like a fruit stand on acid. The taste? Crisp, slightly sweet, just bitter enough to remind you it has fangs. You could pair it with anything or nothing at all. It's that good. 5 stars for knowing who they are and delivering it without pretense. Beer that slaps, food that sticks, and a vibe that doesn't need neon signs or fake hype. Pinthouse is the real deal.
Holy moly the pizza! So worth the trip to get here. I hadn't had their food before just the beer. This is now one of my fave places, the wings were good not mind blowing. The ranch is in house made and had a great flavor, the pizza is the winner, the sourdough, texture and being able to get all the great flavors in a bite I am hooked. The place itself is beautiful and pet friendly, I love all the plants and atmosphere. Staff are nice and everything is clean and bright.
This place is not in a usually shopping center strip mall but it's character is excellent. PLENTY of Tesla charging parking. Indoor and out door seating but the outdoor seating is covered and cool, it's really nice, one can lounge, sit at regular table or picnic table, TV's inside and outside. Merch for sale, private even space upstairs. Food was good, we had hummus plate, cheese board, wagu smash and spicy chicken all solid choices. Most importantly all the beer was delisj, Jellyfish among the fav and most popular. Staff was super friendly and welcoming. Dog welcomed on outdoor patio. I really enjoyed this place beer tasting and watching soccer and football! Definitely returning.

It is a local favorite, with a lively atmosphere and plenty of families on a weekend. I was fortunate to drop in to watch an NFL playoff game, while enjoying The Admiral imperial stout. We didn't even realize that Pinthouse Brewing had a sourdough crust (apparently not all locations do), so that was such a fun surprise. The sourdough pizza was really good--almost like a focaccia/Detroit-style hybrid, but with the sauce layered on the bottom. Super flavorful, crispy edges, soft inside... honestly just hit. Also--my husband was way too excited (in the best way) to see boiled peanuts on the menu, so of course we had to start there. Great call. We'll definitely be back. read more

great spot if you're going out with a group or just want a lot of space to spread out. The place is huge, with plenty of seating, so it feels easy and low-stress even when it's busy. They've got tons of pizza options, which makes it fun to try a few different things or share with the table. Ordering is super convenient too since it's mobile-based, so you can skip the line and just order from your phone. A Hazy IPA that makes you do a double take at the first sip-Electric Jellyfish. Everything about this beer was outstanding. If someone asks what is the best IPA in Austin, Texas or the Southwest- this beer would be it. This location had a ton of space to move around in and loved every minute of being here. This is a fun place. I go for boardgame nights and am thinking of hosting an event there. There's plenty of parking (though it does fill up). They have N/A selections. A friend and I split a pizza and it was enough for 2 of us. The pizza is a bit on the pricey side but given that it's enough for 2 people, it's actually not that much. The pizza was good. We got the vegetarian one for my friend but I would think all of them are pretty good as the crust and cheese were great. Service is fast and friendly. You conveniently order from a QR code and check out that way also so no need to split the bill or try to find who owes what. It can get a bit loud because it's a large open area that fills up but since we were there for board games, it was fine for me. Its a nice place to host a get together. I've been a few times and would go again for the pizza, N/A beer and to just hang out. read more

We've been loving the other Pinthouse Pizza locations so my daughter and I stopped by for a quick bite on our drive home from Bastrop. The location is unassuming, right off the highway in a warehouse-type building, but with plenty of parking and a massive, relaxing patio-ish area. Tons of seating and would be a great place for a group to stop in. I do wish they described the pizza style better on the menu...being familiar with the other locations we were surprised that the pizza here came out more breadlike? Not sure what style it is, but the menu descibed it as something like 9x9, which really didn't prepare us. It still tasted amazing. We loved the fun options for seating and the decor style, and service was good. Bathrooms nice as well. read more

Big fan of pinthouse. Been to the majority of the locations except for this one. This review is solely for a to-go order of their pizza. I tried their standard pepperoni. Can confirm it is as good as the other locations. It was about 40 minutes of a commute before it was eaten, but it still tasted very fresh. First time trying one of their deep dish styles and glad I did. Looking forward to checking them out inside next time. Also tried their double patty burger. It was good, just very messy! read more

I started out at one of the high top tables but I hate having my feet so far from the ground lolll Anyway, I had the OG Detroit pizza and just loved it! Was craving some pizza on my way back home from Big Bend over the weekend driving through Austin and wanted to try their pizza out for the 1st time. I will definitely 1000% come back every time I am in Austin! Customer service was very prompt and exceptional including I believe may have been their manager who immediately acknowledged a very small hiccup which wasn't a biggie at all but went above and beyond to correct it and make it right. Overall everyone was friendly and their pizza won my heart forever! I ordered the OG pizza, from what I remember it was pepperoni, basil, dollops of ricotta and hot honey! Just amazing, not to mention the sourdough bread crust! Please go ASAP if you are local or thinking of visiting Austin and also love craft beers, you will not regret it. Also would like add the ambience set the tone as well. You can order food and drinks at the bar or scan the QR code on the napkin holder and start a tab there. This made it so much more efficient and easy for us to place an order since the bar was pretty busy at the time. That was a plus! Drinks came out immediately after. Great place for a big group! Lots of parking, clean restroom, multiple seating options, good pizza! The service was good, you order and the pizza comes to you. Hadn't been in a while so decided to drop in. Love how big and open the space is- even in the Texas summer heat there are big fans and quite a nice breeze so sitting outside is tolerable. Ordered the pretzel first, it is giant so be prepared. The sauces are great- the mustard is very strong- good but strong. My son got the kids burger and it was the same size as mine except for 1 patty so score for that. The burger was delicious, got the sauce on the side and was glad I did because it was messy even without it (don't order if you're on a first date) my husband got the fried chicken sandwich and said it was different from others and liked it but would probably order something different the next time. I was amazed at the beautiful decor inside and the brewery tanks in the background. I was quite surprised at the prices for the pizzas but I'm confident when I say these were the best pizzas I have ever eaten. Literally any pizza will blow your mind away and for this specific visit, I got the Mushroom Man and Spicy Mama. Overall a fantastic dining experience with a moderate cost factor and worth a try for anyone visiting Austin. read more

Sooo we were about to just walkout and leave after the person who attended to us didn't give two poops we had zero clue how their ordering process worked. He was so rude! NOT HELPFUL. He acted like we were suppose to know as if we worked there. Our food all came out at once- 40 min later. We had ordered wings, fries, one pizza. So much for apps- we didn't get to enjoy them prior. Food was cold. And we didn't get our food until I went up to go ask how much longer it would be to get our apps. 3 min later she came out with food. Not sure if we will go back. Food was good. Altho the pizza could have had some sauce on all the slices. Wings were decent prob would have been a better rating if they were hot. read more

AUSTIN, TX: Pinthouse Brewing is a special spot that is dog friendly! A unique indoor patio, yes you read that right, is where doggie guests are allowed. Signage is clearly marked where the pups can be and it is spacious, climate controlled, and has an elevated beer hall vibe. There are 15 craft beers on tap with additional guest taps of hard seltzer, cider, kombucha, wine, and more! We loved seeing a wheat beer (Weather Light) and it was delicious! They even have food and are famous for their sourdough pizza and also have salads, sandwiches, and appetizers like a large Texas Pretzel with their own beer inspired mustard and cheese dips. Pinthouse was a great nightcap to an incredible dog friendly Texan experience! read more

Amazing pizza and beer! I recommend the O.G.! The service is good too but it's not your typical sit down restaurant. You scan a QR code and they bring the items out to you so if you don't like that I would still recommend you go here because the taste overshadows that aspect (plus they bring everything out sooo quickly). read more
