Great service and great craft brew. Nice urban taproom vibe. Most notable brews: MEGALOMANIAC: a rye west coast style double IPA. Dank but balanced with the rye malt notes. Good citrus and pine flavors. 8.5% ABV. DARKNESS BEFORE THE DAWN: a classic American stout with strong dark chocolate and coffee notes. Flavorful but not too bitter. 6/4% ABV.

An excellent stopping point during SXSW, very near to the Convention Center and 6th Street, while not taking you very far from Rainey Street options. They have a good variety of microbrew options so even those who have a palate for brews other than IPAs will find options to choose from. There is the occasional tour offered that is short and sweet.

Stopped in to try some local beer. I did a flight with their sour and and few Different types of IPA. Every beer I tried was stellar, especially the Gold on the celling IPA. It was super juicy and was very crushable. One top of the good beer they had a N64 to play smash with your friends and the bartender hooked us up with a good list of recs to check out while we are in town.

We were waiting to embark on our duck tour around Austin and enjoyed a drink at the Central District Brewing. The design inside is very spacious, with communal and smaller table seating. It's a good hangout if you are looking to enjoy a locally made craft beer. Because I have gluten sensitivity to most styles of beer (at least stouts, sours, and Weiss), I opted for the Spicy ranch water, which was refreshing. The servers behind the bar were friendly and accommodating, willing to provide a recommendation of you were not sure what to order.

This brewery was really chill, me and my boyfriend came on a Friday night, they have a Nintendo 64 set up and we played so much rampage. It was so much fun! Also, the bartender was a sweetheart. She was so nice, I had a cider that's made in house. It was delicious. I really do recommend this place for more of a calm night out.

The Kolsch is super crisp and is the perfect pint for football watching. They had some well balanced sours along with a phenomenal west coast spa and Hazy. Our Bartender Joseph was great! The space is very inviting for all kinds of beer drinkers. The live plants give a great vibe and the Nintendo 64 lets you know they want you to hang out and have a good time.

I saw this brewery while walking to the visitor's center, so we decided to pop in to check it out. I liked the vibe of the place with the plants and calming green tones. The bartender was super friendly and gave some recommendations. Nate got a flight of four options and liked them all - I am not much of a beer drinker these days but I enjoyed the few sips I had. The space is cozy and definitely seemed like a nice hangout spot. There were some people playing cards while we were there. I loved their merch including a shirt that says "My favorite beer is beer" which made me laugh. I'd stop in again if in the area visiting!

There is an excellent variety of various styles of beers(Sours, Belgians, West Coast, and Hazes), all of excellent quality. The service is very friendly.

Large selection of craft brews can be found here right around the corner from the visitor center! We ended a Pedicab tour almost right back where we started. This brewing company had a great selection of craft beers on tap ready for us to enjoy. My wife and I both shared a Belgian Quadrupel and a Hazy IPA: Gold On. They were really good and exactly what we were expecting out of this craft brewing place. The inside is a smaller sized seating area, and they have a few spots to sit outside in front of the building. Hold onto your drinks though, it's like a wind tunnel down there, especially when the double decker bus passes by!

This brewery is so cute. I ordered a pint of the Gold on the Ceiling (a hazy IPA) and my friend had a glass of rose. The beer list was smaller but they had a good mix.

Dope brewery in downtown Austin. Too many good choices to choose from so we did some beer flights to try them all. Bartenders were funny and laid back. Board games available and TVs. Good amount of seating also. Chill vibes here, would definitely return when in the area.

    Great flights. Get the stout!

What a hidden gem in this area of town. Stopped in 2 times whole in town for the week. I highly suggest coming here, their beer is great and layered with flavor. And yes they have flights. Peep the plants hanging too! Cute decor. I came in February and they did not have an outdoor section. Not sure if they ever will.

I stopped here on a whim while exploring Austin via Lime scooter, and it was a solid find! A no nonsense brewery where I genuinely enjoyed every beer I tried-- A gem! We sat at one of the handful of the tables they have sprinkled in the sidewalk outside. The street was pretty low key for being to close to 6th, so it was enjoyable on the sidewalk! You still order at the bar which was no problem, and the service was quick and efficient! Rhythm is a Dancer stole the show for me! It's a sour, but it is muted enough that I could drink multiple without my mouth being pursed from tartness! The Kolsch was great, as well. We also tried the soft pretzel which was SO airy which I loved. It also came with a garlic sauce so not your typical pub pretzel, but a very tasty take on one! Employee's wore masks and maintained distancing, as well, which is great. We found this brewery on a list of spots still enforcing safety restrictions, and can confirm they were!

In the attached picture from left to right I rank the sake from bad to less bad. The one of the right was bearable but I still would not buy it alone. Perhaps the japanese sakes would have tasted better? We also decided not to get the sushi hand rolls to try and make the drinks more bearable as they did not have much variety or sounded good. I was also not a fan of the interior. Kind of reminded me of an old chinese buffet with those large stick chairs and tables. The staff here were friendly, but nothing else really redeemed here

We got Texas Sake tasting to start with and this is where we finished. The flight looked very different from other people's reviews here and tasted VERY fishy. The yellow-ish one was probably the most bearable one but it still was not good at all. To be very honest, I really had to push myself to take more than one sip of each. If I had nothing to compare with, I would probably refrain from being this harsh, but I have had cheap and expensive sake and I have never tasted anything this bad... We looked at the hand roll options and we didn't find anything we would be interested in. The interior felt like it was a bingo room with a couple of Japan inspired booths that looked a little bit out of place compared to the rest of the floor. Gave one star for nice staff and a cool fish mural.

The sourdough pizza was really good--almost like a focaccia/Detroit-style hybrid, but with the sauce layered on the bottom. Super flavorful, crispy edges, soft inside... honestly just hit. Also--my husband was way too excited (in the best way) to see boiled peanuts on the menu, so of course we had to start there. Great call. We'll definitely be back.

The building is quite large and inside is cool as the seating is quite spacious and a large number of people can enjoy food and drink at once. Definitely not a tiny, small placed brewery...but it's true... everything is bigger in Texas! When we were at Pinthouse I spotted a Mexican Lager which is a type of lager I love and especially in warm weather... a perfect summer beer for me! The name of the beer was Burro's Breakfast. In the flavor profile of this beer you will find a naturally sweet corn flavor, some maltiness along with a tart and dry finish. The beer is light bodied like most lagers of this type and smooth in body. In addition to having a beer we also decided to get some lunch. So we got a chicken sandwich a piece along with coleslaw and had a very nice lunch. Coming to Pinthouse Brewing proved to be a good stop as we made a pretty extensive tour of the breweries in Austin.
