Overall: 4/5 Ambiance: 4/5 This is an awesome brewery! I love that outside in the back they have a small play space for kids. There are a lot of tables and there was a big screen up to watch basketball when I visited! I haven't sat inside, but it looks nice as well and much quieter / at least when I visited. Service: 4/5 Had no issues, just ordered at the counter and voi la! Friendly person took our order & the only complaint is there were no cups outside for water - think it's just busy and this happens! Food & Beer 4/5: I had the magic carpet sour and it was very good, although I will say it isn't as sour as a typical sour would be. Nice drink overall and I think someone who isn't a sour fan may still enjoy it - it gives more cider honestly. My friend and I split the veggie quesadillas and the chips and salsa. The veggie quesadilla was good, the mushrooms they put in it were fab - I wouldn't say it's exceptional for the price but it was good. The chips and salsa were also good, but the salsa was a much thicker green and cilantro based something - I wouldn't exactly call it salsa, but it was good, just a bit misleading. I think they should add a descriptor on the menu, salsa usually means red unless otherwise noted imop. read more

THE BIG: Second Lazarus on Airport Blvd in Central Austin. Big brewery space with a big expansive patio and an upstairs seating area. Limited lot parking and mainly have to find street parking. THE BLACK AND WHITE: I came here with the wife in the early morning for a meetup. Parking is very limited and we had to park far down the street. I was hungry and needed my caffeine fix. The tacos did take a while to come out and it was because they forgot my order. I ordered a bacon egg cheese bfast taco, chorizo egg cheese bfast taco and a coffee. Each taco was around $6-$7 which is kind of insane that tacos have gotten that expensive. They were just alright and only flour tortillas. Coffee was given in a nice mug. THE FINAL BAMBOO: Spent around $15 for two breakfast tacos and a coffee. Bfast tacos were alright and I think ill stick to the beers next time. read more

I've came here a few times. Came here this time for a bike night. They have a good beer selection. Prices are a bit on the upper side of the Austin spectrum. They have a nice large outdoor patio. A slightly quieter upstairs. Service is quick when the line is not packed. The food they offer is mostly Tex mex adjacent. Kind of not a Whole lot of variety if you are feeling for something else. We arrived at Lazarus Brewing for the university reconnect. Overall, cool vibes at Lazarus...open area in the center of the brewery and two private areas - one open to the bar and one in an enclosed room. There were folks sitting in the main area...one couple had a large dog, so they are apparently dog-friendly. Lazarus not on sell beer on tap but also canned beer as well. According to a couple of locals, Lazarus is known for their beer and have won awards for great beer. I am not a big beer drinker so opted for a glass of pinot Greccio. Service was great at Lazarus and the bartenders were funny. I asked about a number of empty beer mugs with pieces of paper in them. According the bar tender, you $1,200 and you receive a beer every day for a year. In addition, sometimes the bar give you extra perks as result of you buying the mug with beer benefits. We had tortilla chips, queso, beans, rice, chicken and cheese enchiladas. All of the food was great. Standouts were the chicken enchiladas (not greasy at all) and chips (crisp & crunchy). Huuuge venue, with tons of Al fresco tables plus a kids play area. Actually two buildings where you can order, with a covered courtyard in between. Mexican menu offered several interesting options, but we were trying to keep it light. My carnitas torta was very good, with great bread, but a bit larger than I anticipated (but I still ate all of it!). The wife loved her tacos. My barrel-aged stout was only so-so. I came here on a Saturday afternoon to indulge in an afternoon of reading and it was a great space for that! My partner accompanied me to get some work done on his laptop and thankfully, we were able to find some outlets scattered around. I appreciated their variety of drinks from coffee to beer to frozen cocktails, they definitely had options! I ended up trying their sour and a mimosa. The sour was the perfect amount of tart without overpowering the other flavors and the mimosa was just an average mimosa. They also have a decent Mexican food menu. While I didnt try anything, my partner got the shrimp taquitos and by the way he devoured them, they must have been good! Ive been to their downtown location as well and I would say the vibes are very different. This location feels far more family oriented and even has a pirate themed play area for kids. We saw a ton of families with young kids while were there. It feels a little more laid back than the downtown location. I love them both equally but for two different reasons. You know, if it wasn't for a company networking event, I would have never come here. I am so happy when breweries offer actual food! Like, why wouldn't we need some grub with the beer? There's enough variety of food to satisfy everyone in your party, no matter if you're flying solo or partying with your crew. I am not a beer expert, but I think they offer enough to choose from for all levels of drinkers. They also have a pretty sweet happy hour deal menu. And, guess what? If you need some coffee before heading out to your next pit stop, why not try a lavender latte? I don't know how people drink beer and do any work on their computers - are you not worried about spills? If you're one of those folks, then this is your crowd. I really enjoyed this location! We've been to the original one before, but this one was just so family friendly and spacious. Our kids & my nephew played happily on the boat in the back for a long while as the grown ups had beer, tacos, tortas and queso. The queso was good, but my husband didn't think his torta was anything special and commented he'd try something different next time. Such a cool venue! Wow! I don't have much reason to stop into a brewery ordinarily (my husband is sober and I only drink girly beverages lol), but we had a group meeting there for a mentorship. The inside is quite grandiose, with both an upstairs and downstairs, plus an outdoor patio. So tons of seating wherever you'd like. Upstairs has a homey feel with a fireplace and bookshelves stuffed with books and games to borrow. Fantastic for hanging out. The music inside was a bit loud but tolerable. Almost immediately upon entering my eyes locked onto the awesome teal pirate ship! They have an area for your kids (or you) to run around and play. Very cute. The employees all seemed nice and efficient. I didn't end up ordering anything myself, but my husband greatly enjoyed his mint tea. And I sniped some of a friend's nachos, hehe. We live walking distance to the location on 6th and have been there several times. I drive past this location 2-3 times a week and the lot is always packed. It's always one of those things, "we'll get there one of these days"... Today was the day. It's a holiday weekend and it's pouring rain outside so we were able to get a spot right in front. It's spacious but so homey and comfy. Multi-levels (two) in the main brewery area (bar, seating, ordering, etc). Huge patio outside that connects to another indoor space with a bar and seating. Fun outdoor play area for kids that includes a wooden life-size ship. The food we had for brekkie was yummy. The lavender latte was one of the best I've had anywhere (with oat milk). A lot of places don't get the ratio right and typically ends up in lacking lavender flavor. This was perfectly balanced, fragrant, and delicious. We had a great time at Lazarus Brewing!!! We stopped in for a couple of beers and a little snack. My wife and I both got a flight and a pint. We split an order of plantain chips, while they were good they were a little pricey for the amount. We loved thier venue and thought it was very open and had a lot of space. We sat at the bar. We loved chatting with the staff. All of the food that we kept seeing looked wonderful. And the coffee they kept brewing, smelled so good! We will return next time we are in Austin! read more

First visit to the new location and it is gorgeous! Cozy vibes, and looks unique and memorable. They have a cool upstairs in the main building. In the outside patio they have a covered area and then a kids play area and lots of Adirondack chairs. We sat in the separate "events" building where they also have brewing equipment in view., when they don't have events you're free to use that area. They have a nice single bathroom available in there as well. The beers were wonderful! We came specifically for the rice lager release and Wow it was impressive. We also got a flight to try more options, their flights come in 4s. They had a food truck that was delicious! The downsides were the service wasn't ideal, crabby attitudes and wrong beers were poured and was made to feel it was a hassle to fix their mistakes. They say "ample" parking on site and I suppose if you take into account the residential side streets, sure, but it is a little bit of a walk and most certainly in the dark. read more

What a great spot to hang out! They have drinks and they have snacks. They have many, many tables outside under cover with misters and a limited number of bar-style seating indoors. You order inside and then take your drinks and/or order number on a flag to a table outside. Food doesn't take long and they bring it to your table for you.
