To preface, Austin Beerworks is fantastic and has great beer and TCH options for in-house or to-go. They seems to always have a good vibe, good pours, and a clean space. My main issue is with Rocky's Grill, one of their food trucks, since not only did they get my order wrong (ordered a classic hot dog and somehow got a burger) but are way overpriced for their value. The size of the burger and fries is not up to the price despite the flavor. If I'm ordering a "basket" of fries I expect much more than the 20-ish individual fries presented for $5. The burger was also quite small which was extra disappointing since it was more bun than meat. The reason why I'm not really tanking the stars is because 1. they gave me a beer coin since I said I didn't order a burger, and 2. offered to fire up a hot dog, but that would've meant the food I was presented went to waste which I didn't want either. I'm sure they're great, but pricing should be adjusted to service and value. read more

We were expecting to go to St.Elmo on Easter Sunday to meet a friend, but it was packed with all the Easter festivities, so we decided to meet at Austin Beer Works. Great spot, laid back, with a great outdoors. I enjoyed conversing with the servers and recognized one from a previous brewery. I was able to sample the homemade michelada mix, sans any tomato juice. It was really good. Ended up buying a teal horror I had my eye on. It smelt kind of burnt and like old coffee but felt assured it would wash out. Several washes later, but no dryer, it still stunk. Customer service can make or break a business. Goes both ways, patron and staff. I went to switch out the hoodie last Thursday. I encountered a server who was very dismissive of my concern and actually disagreed with me, but agreed to swap. She vocally said, I don't smell a thing. I was pissed but took my hoodie and left. This is definitely a production issue as this one after several washings still has an order. The hoodie was 40 bucks, so no small piece of change. Poor customer service on her part. Probably won't return. I even left a message on their business line, but no response. It's sad that one bad egg can ruin it all. read more

Such a great spot to spend a laid back afternoon. I ordered a mocktail that reminded me of a virgin Aperol spritz and it was so refreshing and delicious. The space is super cute with a really inviting outdoor area that makes you want to stay awhile. There is plenty of parking which is always a plus, and the staff was incredibly friendly. Not gonna lie, this is kinda in the m Not gonna lie, this is kinda in the middle of no where. Other than that, it's great. Came here for a Bonsai class and got to partake in the drinks selection and got the passion fruit frose. It was very tasty and I had two during the time I was there. Food trucks were in the rear of the building, I didn't go out so can't speak to the options. Service at the bar was great, easy and the line moved quickly. I found the restrooms a bit deceiving as the outside looks to be individual stalls, however once you are inside, it's like normal stalls with the top and bottom open. lol read more

While it's not the first location of Austin Beerworks, this location up north is certainly among their newest. It doesn't take long to see the appeal as it's such a nice space for just about any occasion: family fun, casual beer drinking, special occasion destination, board games night, or just someone thirsty for local (#1) The space is so extensive that it never feels that crowded. There are enough parking spaces to fill a zoo, substantial roominess on an interior front, and an outdoor area that is complete with a dedicated kids area and plenty of covered seating. Essentially, go get a beer and make yourself comfortable. Speaking of beer, there really is something for everyone. Of their core beers (canned), I've been a fan of the fire eagle, floaty, and pearl-snap. The seasonal taps are where it's really at. The cold glory is a quality lager and the la verdad is a fabulous Mexican inspired style lager. The vibe is very unpretentious and the prices are very affordable for the Austin lifestyle. This place has it all - amazing! Beer/frozen drinks/food trucks/disc golf park/children's park / outdoor area I had the frozen peach wine and it came with peach rings on top - my absolute favorite thing to get here lol My husband also loves the beers they have on tap! Service is order at the bar and very quick! I think they also have QR codes on the table too but we didn't try them out. We came for the Lunar New Year's market and celebration. This was a fun event which merged ABW's extensive drinks menu, fun, sunny outdoor area and the cultural celebration. In addition to the market vendors and food trucks, ABW had a limited food menu. We tried the wonton nachos with chicken off this event menu. They were amazing. The wontons were a good size and very crisp without being overly greasy. The chicken had a slight heat that was intensified by the dual sauces. It was spicy but so flavorful. The slaw on top had different cabbages and green onions to carry the Asian flavor profile through the whole bite. The Asian themed tacos looked delicious too but we didn't have room to try them. I know ABW focuses on their drinks leaving the food to the food trucks but I'd love to see this menu again. It's was fun to eat read more

What a hidden gem this place. It's just a big ole space to chill and do backyard activities with the family. The kids can release energy out back in the open. Lots of space out there for them to play. Their indoor space is cavernous with big screens and large tables to fit any size party. They have their brand's full selection on tap and a couple of food trailers on site to satiate your appetite. We hit up the Mexican food trailer and had nachos and burritos. THE BIG: Located in North East Austin, in the Sprinkle Valley area. It is pretty remote, but the brewery has a ton of space and parking available. Surprisingly it does get busy in which parking sometimes is hard to find. THE BLACK AND WHITE: I've been to this spot a couple of times and it's been my go to spot if im looking for Austin Beerworks beers. The other location near the Domain is nice as well, just a bit smaller. The space is still being developed out, which I'm excited to see what the vision of this place is going to be. It already has an outdoor movie terrace and a kid's tree house playground. Curious to see what creative experiences they are looking to build out here. THE FINAL BAMBOO: A great place to kick back and enjoy nice beers in a classic brewery setting. Like the new spot. It's big! Indoor seating and a huge covered Biergarten outside. Dog & kid friendly. Bring your discs and walk the disc golf course. There's a dog park out back too that is shaded w/ chairs, water bowls, cable spool tables, etc. My dogs loved roaming over the typical leash to my ankle, and the grass is alive here so it's not a dirt pit--even in late Aug El Nino weather--of course my dogs went straight to the perimeter and started chewin' grass like cattle--funny given they would rather be herdin' 'em but seems children is what they herd most--I'll bring some balls to fetch next go. I had a Pearl Snap to start and will have a few more--live the beer glasses and a cold tap beer is the best cure for this blasted heat. Service was stellar--asked by multiple bartenders for my order that was taken while stoppin for everyone pettin' my Aussies--very friendly staff! Here by myself this go but I'll bring the wife when temps ease off--I'm good--you could totally bring big groups and easily find a niche outside or in. Both flour and corn tortillas here are freshly made to start off my review, and excellent. I sampled a piece of briskett from the Carne Guidada Bowl on special and that will be my next order for sure. The lamb tacos are my favorite--there is no skimping on the meat for these and both the briskett tacos and chicken tacos--though I found the simplicity of the bean and cheese taco to be really great too--after impregnating it with escabeche, of coure--while my wife loves the chicken tacos and the chips and queso most. The quesadillas with chorizo and the crispy dogs are nice enough to toss in the mix too. I honestly don't see enough of escabeche in this world so this place is where I now come for my fix. There is a large covered area for sitting outside in the shade, plenty of other trees and tables, and dogs are allowed outside here at Austin Beer Works whete Yellow Bell Tacos stands ready to serve with both pride in their food and a desire to please. Atmosphere and vibe are relaxed, with music playing and A/C inside. Service is stellar! I love this place! We did a last-minute gathering, and they had plenty of room to accommodate us. The food trucks were really good if not a little bit on the spendy side-NOT a reflection of ABW. The ambience was really really good and I love the fact that they have an indoor area and an outdoor area. The staff is fabulous. I love that there's a popcorn machine there if you get the munchies and don't wanna spend money at the food trucks. I had gone several times after the initial gathering. Great brewery vibes with tasty beer (and a nice variety) with lots of seating and disc golf! While this place is somewhat off the beaten path, it had a great selection of beer and food offerings. When we came, there was a pizza food truck and a taco food truck (not sure if they are always there). We didn't play disc golf but it seemed popular/an interesting addition to the usual brewery atmosphere. Overall, the staff was very nice and the customers were also friendly and considerate. If you haven't been, Beerworks has good beer all around so you can't gI really enjoyed coming out to the new location while trying to beat the summer heat. It's really very easy to get to and happened to be the same distance away as the main location for me. I'm really excited to see what they do with the place and will come back for the lazy river for sure! We found a table very quickly for 4 adults and 2 kids in the main taproom. They provide complimentary popcorn which was a hit for the kids (4&3). After the kids got antsy we relocated to the kids playroom. You read that correctly ... a place for the kids to play WITH toys like large Lego bricks and board games. There are also board games in the main taproom too! There's a bunch of seating in there too. It was nice to let the kids go while enjoying some the beer. In terms of the drinks I got a flight with a variety of items and a few more glasses afterwards. I love the classics like Pearlsnap and Peacemaker but really enjoyed the Megaflora and the la verdad. There is food at this location but I didn't get to try to food trucks outside. Without a doubt, my favorite brewery in Austin. The beers are good, the vibes are chill, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. As a parent, this place makes for a great play date spot because of the large outdoor space and treehouse playground. We've even hosted our kids' birthday parties here, and the family room was perfect for our 50+ guests. They also host a variety of festivals throughout the year, including the Filipino Day Market, one of our favorite events. read more

Full disclosure, I don't drink beer - so my review is definitely more about the other offerings and the venue. I love a good list, so here are my semi-organized thoughts: 1. LOTS of land, very kid friendly - they even have a playscape outdoors! And a big covered area to eat 2. TACOS - we ate at Yellow Bell Tacos, which is run by the people at Interstellar BBQ! Really recommend the lamb taco and the crispy dogs. I just REALLY wish they had a spicy salsa - everything was pretty mid as far as spice goes. Something spicy would go a long way to cut through some of the fat in their meatier offerings. Ask for extra tortillas - their tacos are HUGEEEE 3. Schedule for the food trucks is at the entrance when you enter. Definitely worth checking out. Just off of Springdale Rd. you'll find this business sitting on top of a hill. In the distance you can see Austin's Mount Trashmore and vultures hanging out on the power lines. As you enter the business, you'll notice there is a frisbee golf store directly next-door. The first thing we noticed as we walked through the door was just how unbelievably loud it was inside with all the voices of the patrons bouncing off the concrete walls. As a result, we ordered our beers and headed out the back door to the spacious grassy lot out back. In the back, you'll find a large paved area with numerous picnic tables, five or more isolated islands that you can sit at and a wooden treehouse playscape for the kids. However, by August the grass out back is all but dead and giving way to weeds and dirt. You can bring your dog if you sit out back. We wound up leaving after one beer because it was just too hot to sit outside in August and way too loud to sit inside. When you settle up with your credit card, they will flip the screen around for you to sign and ask for you to add a tip which starts at 18%. Our two beers plus tip was $20. We'll be back when things cool down. In the future I hope they add covering to the outdoor picnic tables and add an indoor kitchen with a diverse menu instead of using a food truck. The back lot could also benefit from additional landscaping and improvements. That would bring this business from a 3 1/2 star to a 5 star establishment. Some other additional interesting information is the fact that they own about 60+ acres at this location. In three years time, they will move their entire operation from their current location near 183 to this location. They will also build a frisbee golf course on the property. So, future expansion is on the horizon. read more

We normally have our annual get togethers in the spring. However, this year didn't pan out so we had it in August. With the extreme heat we needed an indoor venue. Austin Beerwork's new location on Springdale fit the bill perfectly. Their beer selection is always great and they also had non-alcoholic beverages. The only hic-up was the food truck that was supposed to be on site had cancelled. That's not on ABW. Adam, one of the owners, gave us a heads up about that, so a few people brought a sack lunch. The staff was very nice and personable. Once the temperature drops, I would like to go back and try their outdoor area & disc golf. read more

The staff, beers, free popcorn and outside area is 5 star top notch. On our 1st visit we had a great time at the kid's treehouse play area. The staff was super friendly and helpful as well. The only downside was that we had to leave to eat. There was a food truck(Yellow Bell) but it featured way over priced tacos. The highlight being a $6 bean and cheese taco. So if you have a family or are just budget concise, make sure to feed the family before you get there or pick something up on the way there. The staff was extremely friendly and personable as well. One thing I will caution for those that do not appreciate this - it's kid friendly. I love that they decided to open a brewery in this location as it is primed to explode with cool stuff like ABW around here. Driving up you're taken through the woods and undeveloped land (a rarity in Austin). This alone is worth the drive as it seems to come out of nowhere. Beer is legit, back patio is spacious and very welcoming and the onside is comfortable with lots of games to play. Ordering a beer took a little longer than normal but they were nice so all good. Only reason I gave 4 stars are two reasons: -No dogs allowed inside. --tough when you have a kiddo and want to bring your hounds. -Food truck closed at 5 on Sunday when we went up there for dinner at 5:30. read more

We went to the accessible Springdale location. Great spacious location in East Austin with sufficient parking. Welcoming, friendly staff that provide great customer service. Cool merchandise available, including disks for their disk golf course. Great place to bring the whole family. They have a couple of separate room with televisions. They have board games, a fenced in dog park, a nice playground for the kids to climb, play ball, and a big chalkboard. They have free popcorn, and sell popsicles. The taco truck has limited kid options due to spice, at least for my granddaughters. We had chicken tacos, queso, and the girls had cheese quesadillas, all the food was hearty and tasty. Hoping they expand food options in the future. Lots of beer choices, world-class beer, some wine choices (rose', but no Pinot Grigio), and frozen drinks. A lot of thought went into this location and they are still in the midst of adding more features. We will be back! read more

Austin Beerworks-Sprinkle Valley is going to be an absolute game-changer for this part of town. Even though they are in a bit of an unofficial soft opening right now, the beer is flowing and the vibes are immaculate. My wife and our friends stopped in the first Friday they were open. The service was super friendly and even on a busy Friday evening, the wait was never more than a minute or two for a refill. When I visited, their food truck was not yet set up, but it comes with a stellar (interstellar?) pedigree so I can't wait to check it out. For now, they have free popcorn which were a great treat with the rounds of beer. Their outside space is still in its rough-draft form, but they have a dedicated fenced, shaded area for you to bring your pups. There is a large outdoor seating area with fans and misters as well. In the near future, they will have disc golf and a disc golf store (I think). There is a ton of parking and I can't wait to visit this location for years to come. read more
