From asking for help to an ADA accessible elevator to the incredible sound system to the amazing ushers and staff. When we asked for the ADA accessible entrance and elevator, one the staff walked us to the entrance and made sure we were on our way. Texas hospitality! Then taking the elevator to the top was easy, but slow (some elevators are that way). The only issue was the the stair to our seats were a steep grade. UGH! My fear of heights kicked in and it was a little unnerving even though every one around me was fine! When my daughter brought our merch and drinks, the usher helped her. And when I got up to use the restroom, a fellow customer and the usher helped me. The usher then suggested as the seats at the top were empty to sit there. He even went to tell my daughter that we were moving. Texas hospitality again! This is a beautiful venue and we hope to be BACK!!!

Many people say there isn't a bad seat in the venue but I strongly disagree. The higher balcony seats can suck, especially on the far right side of the stage since you're above the speakers and the sound sucks. You'd think they would do better sound design and care about the people that but tickets on the top too (and add a few smaller speakers up in front of those music fans that paid for tickets too. Drinks are a bit pricey but if you tip you can get a heavy pour from the bartenders. Just be nice to them and they usually do the same back.

It's not a huge club but they also don't pack folks in so badly that you can't move about. Free water station and most times employees will hand it out to patrons. Bar prices are fair and on par with other similar venues. Bathrooms are ok, meaning clean and not gross. Like most places in Austin, parking can be a challenge. They've got a pay lot (I think it's pay by the hour) that fills up super fast. Best bet is to use a car service.

The look of the place on the inside is relatively unchanged from it's prior makeups: low-slung bar curving around the downstairs to your right as you enter, stage lower level left, some sort of odd cage thing (they had chosen, strangely, to make this a "blogging station" during the Dell Lounge stuff), and a series of couches and causeways upstairs for a better look onto the stage below. We saw the Liam Finn set here, and the acoustics were certainly passable, though it's worth mentioning that as it was 92 degrees outside, the few wispy fans upstairs weren't cutting it (I'm talking about actual fans here, not rock fans). The place is a little dingy inside, the kind of joint you likely wouldn't wanna see with the lights on, and it seems to change titles more often than mojo. And while this day whatever name it chose to go by suited us just fine, it's never been a destination spot. Just an extra cobblestone on your way down the road.

The drink prices were a little odd - it was 4 dollars well whiskey and coke, but SEVEN dollars for jim beams? And they had no diet coke - I don't even think they were out of it, they just don't have it period. Some of us have to watch our girlish figures AND get drunk, thanks! I wouldn't refuse to come here, but I don't think I'd seek it out. I'd definitely not spend a whole evening here because I'd probably want to be drinking elsewhere, but it would be fun pop in for a bit to see a show/dance/etc.

They say they have a 2 item minimum but we had to flag a waitress down 30 min after the show started to even get help. we had a moscow mule ($15) and a high brew coffee (6$)bill was about 23$ I tipped 20% but now have a charge for $35- interesting calculations there.... The show was okay as well , I think pre show was better then the main show this go round. Still enjoyed my time but definitely had better experiences.

It turned out to be a nice evening out. Two comedians warmed up the crowd before Malik B took the stage, and from the moment he started, he had everyone laughing. His observations, relatable humor, and effortless delivery kept the audience fully engaged. His set was packed with laughs, blending everyday experiences with clever storytelling. His comedic timing was outstanding and reminded us of the younger Eddie Murphy. One of the highlights of the show was Malik B's interactions with the audience, including a physical education teacher, a salesperson, and a former stripper. He kept returning to their stories throughout the set, creating hilarious running jokes that had the crowd roaring with laughter. Interestingly, he surprised them by offering to pay their tab at the end of the show (major nice gesture). Capitol City Comedy Club provided the perfect setting for a night of entertainment. The venue was comfortable, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere made for a great experience. Please note that there is a two-item minimum purchase per person for food and beverages. Parking was also a breeze, with plenty of free parking available in both the mall lots and parking garages. My brother-in-law thoroughly enjoyed the show, and so did we. It was a fun, memorable evening filled with nonstop laughs.

The decor here is super fun and I really liked the mirrors. Nothing like a fun mirror or two for a couple of laughs. But, here's the thing, when we stopped by it wasn't busy at all. In fact there was another couple that left not long after we arrived and a group of four that arrived a few minutes before we left. I bring this up because this means the bartender wasn't busy. Like at all. Yet seemed annoyed to have to make a drink and chat while doing so. With that said, I might give it another go only because the layout was so great. Maybe if we attend a comedy show we'll have better luck.

The bartenders are stingy with their liquor pours, but that's not a huge issue for me. I bet you can order from the regular Alamo menu which has awesome food! I'll have to try that next time. I don't recommend the comedy shows, but that's just because I don't think saying super offensive shit is funny. If you are good with laughing at things people shouldn't say out loud, then you might love it! I'd rather go on a quiet night when I can hear and laugh at the funny stuff others in my group say. Fortunately, since this is an outdoor venue the weather was good that day. Being less than 6' tall it was very hard to see the stage so most of my video shots are max zoom in from my iPhone camera. I highly suggest they consider lifting up the stage higher so those who are in the back and short can see the performers! At one point someone who was like 6'5" just decided to stand in front of me and I had to tell him I couldn't see a thing so thankfully they moved without too much drama so my friend and I could see as we were right at the area where the "garage" type door would close. My friend and I enjoyed a ranch water and the server was very helpful when we told her it didn't taste like we expected, so she fixed it! If I ever find myself there again for a concert, I hope they fix the stage height situation and or help shorter people with visibility by adding video screens!

We went to a free Red River Street festival here for our first visit, and bought tickets to Blessthefall for our 2nd visit. Sound was great both times. We live nearby so we just ubered there, but there are parking lots and garages nearby downtown. Easy in and out. Short review, but happy to have this venue in town!
