    picnic tables and umbrellas

Was coming back up from Austin and saw this rustic looking building with some fancy cars out front. Decided I needed to check it out. What a great spot! Immersed in nature, very reasonable drink prices, live music. My only complaint is that there was no place to park. I had to park on the edge of the road, which was freshly paved by the way, but I blocked in 2 cars. Had to make this visit quick. I did some exploring. Checked out the interior which was appropriately dark and eclectically decorated. Ventured outside and saw the stage. Plenty of picnic tables with umbrellas. There's a bucket on a pull string that crosses over the creek. I was curious so I asked what it was for. It's the conduit for drinks to get over to a table and chairs for people that live over there. How convenient is that! If you wanna relax with a drink in a nonjudgmental atmosphere, this is the place to do it.

Nice, chill, off-the-beaten-path place! The owners, Tom and Melissa, are really cool people. Plenty of outdoor seating, nice little creek runs by, good drink prices, pool table and dart board. They also have bands and open mic nights. Definitely be coming back here with some friends in the future.

This is a great little Texas dive bar! Live music and cold beer! Good time all the time!

Great vibe, great joint for someone stuck in the burbs who hates the burbs and loves the Texas hill country. Right on a creek. Friendly. Unassuming. Food truck usually parked out front serving up some Asian fare. The bar takes plastic but has no AC--just a bunch fans. Very little cell coverage for me there (Verizon), which makes the whole place that much more of an enjoyable throwback. Staff and patrons very genuine.

    band playing on stage

Friendliest bar in Texas. Excellent live music. Beer and wine in bottles and cans. Huge patio with a second performance stage. They light the creek at night and have bread to feed the fish and turtles!

Great family owned bar tucked away down Volente. They serve beer and wine (cheap!) and have a pool table/jukebox inside if you get tired of the view outside. Not too many mosquitos either (amazingly), and dogs are allowed. It's a nice place for a beer after heading up 2222 to get to Cedar Park.

Honestly, some of the worst I've ever received at any establishment. Common to sit at a table for thirty minutes+ before anyone even greets you, or wow...serve you. Be prepared to sit and watch the waitresses hangout with other tables and chit chat away. Catch their eye and wave them over, perhaps? Sure, but you're still going to have to wait until they're ready. The outdoor tabletops are always filthy. Yay for me for being so tolerant and prepared based on previous visits, I always make sure to carry wet wipes. Once again, when finished, the cloth was covered with brown dirt and food remains. The food is right on par with public high school cafeteria fare. No. Actually, maybe middle school quality. Funky tasting burgers. Meh. Anything and everything fried tastes exactly the same. I don't think they've changed the oil in since they opened many years ago. No joke. I can't help to feel a little bit sad as this is probably the most scathing review I've ever written. I LOVE to support local and small, BUT RHB&T frankly needs to be better and do better. I'm OWTA. Don't recommend. :(

On our way from DFW to check in near Lake Travis, our 2013 Hyundai started overheating. Panicked, we pulled into the nearest turnoff, which just happened to be an O'Reilly's auto parts. While we waited for the engine to cool, we spotted Shooters and decided to step inside. The moment we walked in, the atmosphere was dark yet welcoming. Mac greeted us with a smile and served up two perfectly cold drinks--just what we needed to calm our nerves. I didn't even care this is the official local Green Bay Packers watch spot. I'm a Cowboys fan... As I was on the phone with my mechanic back in DFW, Mac overheard our situation and took it upon himself to help. He reached out to a mechanic friend at the bar who was ready to lend a hand. Within an hour, thanks to Mac's quick thinking and kindness, our car was fixed and we were back on our way to enjoy our weekend. Shooters offers more than just ice-cold drinks and pool tables; it's a place where strangers become friends. Huge thanks to Mac for his exceptional service and generosity. If you find yourself in Austin, don't miss this spot!

The bartender told me that my friend was in the bathroom passed out in a stall. I thought this was weird as I had just seen her and she wasn't drunk. I went to the washroom and there was a woman in the stall but it wasn't my friend. I don't know who it was. Then later I was still sitting at the bar and had turned my back for a couple minutes talking to someone standing. When I turned back around, my purse was gone. I had it hanging on one of the hooks under the bar. I ran around looking for who picked it up. Then I asked the bartender if she saw anything. 15 minutes later she casually mentioned that someone had turned in a purse and it was in their office'. So she brought it out and handed it to me. Well I had $200 in it and that was gone. My vape was also missing. So the bartender was the one who took my purse. Nobody would think it was suspicious to see her cleaning up around the bar and she managed to lift my bag and steal the money. She was rude, messed with me and still works there. So sadly I won't be giving them my business and when my friend plays there, I don't go. It's a dive bar and I'm not missing out.
