We went to try this brewery for a social meetup. It was a bit far for us, so we drove instead of rideshare. There was plenty of parking in the somewhat shaded lot. There are several beers to choose from in draft. Higher abv were poured smaller than pints, but they started at our choices of 6%, which was a little culture shock. I had the Dunk Vader, which was as amazing as it was dark. We sat at an umbrella patio table outside. There are also outdoor TVs, adirondack chairs, fire pits, and some playground structures in the small park-like gren space. There are strict rules for dogs, such as being on a leash. There are also rules about children, but they still ran around screaming and throwing balls or ice. I would use caution if bringing smaller children or older pets.With perfect weather like today, this made a great brewery to visit. It is beautiful, very clean, and has nice amenities. read more

Parking is small so carpool or walk here if you're nearby. That's the worse about this place is parking BUT sooo worth the hassle. Hidden gem near ATX--great for a quick bite or chill afternoon! This food truck park is one of the best I've visited. Tons of shaded outdoor seating, cooling misters, and a dog-friendly vibe. A&W foods great people are great. The beer is great. The only thing that really sucks is the playground. They know that they have kids visiting this place and yet their playground is built for maybe having four children tops and it's just boring. I came to this location last Tuesday with a friend because it was "going up on a Tuesday"...It was the middle of the day accordingly we had the place almost to ourselves. We purchased several beers on tap. I elected to go with a Blonde IPA that was 7.5%. It's light but smooth notes had hints of honey and was light on hops. While there we ventured outside to sit on the lounge chairs that were outside on the astroturf. When outside, patrons can elect yo people watch or play games. What's more is this spot has various food trucks to choose from as The Good Lot itself doesn't serve food. I purchased some tacos (review coming soon). The level of service and selection of IPAs here are top-notch. If in the area, it's definitely worth a visit. read more

A really nice spot in a quiet area of Cedar Park with a large covered patio and outdoor space great for kids and dogs to run around. There's a nice selection of beers and ciders and several really good food trucks so you can pick and choose what you'd like to eat. I came with my dad to sit and chat for a few hours and enjoyed a cool November breeze on the covered patio. Family members had been to The Good Lot many times previously, and had a birthday celebration there on a recent Saturday. It's a great place for family and friends to gather and spend a few fun hours together. It's also dog-friendly. (Adding: this can be a minus, in that dog owners are sometimes blind to their pets' suitability to be around children and other dogs.) The place includes 4 areas: a building where alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are dispensed, a food truck area with great selections, a fenced-in outdoor area with artificial turf and seating areas that include fire tables, and a kids play area with wood structures for climbing. The outdoor area is mostly shady, making this a good place to hang out even in the summer heat. We treated ourselves to (expensive) truffle fries from the burger truck, and went inside the building to enjoy them and to participate in the birthday party. Water is available at the main entrance at no charge. If you're looking for a place to enjoy a good brew or wine with family and friends and want a wide selection of foods, The Good Lot might become one of your favorite hangouts. read more

What a great concept and a neat idea. The outdoor area was all turf under trees with picnic tables and a play scape along with cooling mist fans for the hot days. There were three food trucks. We tried the Mexican food and got the brisket street tacos price was decent and the tacos were excellent. What a beautiful family-friendly place to have a couple of beers and order some food to take back to the hotel room after a long day of driving. My husband and I ordered delicious food from Lazy G BBQ. While we waited for our food, we ordered a couple of beers in the patio area. It was a cold day and the heaters were on! We were quite comfy. We struck up conversations with other patrons and it was such a nice experience. A couple had ordered some wings from the Fez food truck and they looked amazing! There were four food trucks that served bbq, Venezuelan food, Mediterranean food, and Asian food. l loved the name of the Asian food truck. It was called "The Rice is Right!" So clever. It would be fun to go back and try food from the other trucks. It seems like The Good Lot has pretty high standards for whom they allow to serve food. That's a good thing. My husband ordered a German pilsner and I ordered a coffee milk stout (nitro). He does not remember which German pilsner he had (there were two) but my coffee milk stout was from Frontyard Brewery out of Spicewood, TX, and it was outstanding. We happened to be in the area for lunch and wanted to try this place out afterwards. The weather was nice so it was a bit crowded. I saw lots of folks with what looked like their own chairs and blankets to sit on the astroturf around the property. There was also seating available within the main establishment if you wanted that. We had a few drinks while here. It was easy enough to order at the counter and didn't have to wait. There are some food trucks on the property too so if you are looking to have some lunch it's probably worth looking at those. I can see someone making a long afternoon just here with the food and good drinks. I will say that the playground didn't meet my kids (5&3) expectations. They were bored within 10 minutes which limited our time here. Overall, it's a cool place to have within the neighborhood but it's not somewhere I would drive back from Pflugerville specifically for. read more

We came here Friday September 6th to get some food from one of the four food trucks. We are happy there are 4 options to pick from! I'm also glad there are some vegetarian options too. The food trucks don't take long and have high quality food. The bartenders are friendly and are good about remembering which beer you're drinking too. I got a flight of beers and some food from the trucks. There are 4 food trucks on campus and I settled down on the Mediterranean one because they had chicken wings of all things. The gyro wrap and the wings were delicious. Edit: owner can't seem to understand this review was from 2 separate visits. Used to be great but management recently started running into the ground. Last time we were there and asked for beer suggestions.. we got the worst selling (nasty) beer on tap, and no they won't replace it, they just rudely say "you could have got a sample." (Actually saw another customer unhappy with the same beer and watched him go through the same experience trying to exchange it.) Today, their new policies made me put one kids water cup in the car.. but not the others cuz it's slightly shorter.. (same capacity in both.) A very cool spot that is dog and kid friendly! There are not many places where you can bring the whole family and not get looked at like you are trying to burn the place down. Luckily, the Good Lot has figure out how to pull it off. The combination of food, beer and a large outdoor area makes this for a fantastic place to get out of the house. They have a massive assortment of beers and plenty of food truck options to please everyone. The yard has a variety of seating, from tables, to lawn chairs fire pits. It is a large space that has plenty of shade from some massive old trees. There is a kid play area in the corner, although I definitely wish it was either bigger or switched out to a play scape. The cone is much more aligned to bigger kids and the large rocks on the side can definitely cause a quick scare. Other than that though, its a great spot to lounge and relax with friends. read more

I visited for the first time recently on a Saturday afternoon. It was packed! The staff did a good job of managing the crowds and lines but it was difficult to find a spot to sit. The food and beer were both great though! Lots of great local beer on tap. Actually there were so many appealing options at the food trucks that we had a hard time choosing. We ended up choosing the 50/50 burger (50% ground beef, 50% bacon) with bourbon bacon jam, garlic aioli, white American cheese and lettuce. It was amazing! I was starving before I got there and I could barely finish it. The bacon makes it very filling but delicious. Pro tip: there's a mini version. The fries were good too but I barely ate any because I was so full. Next time, I'll get the mini version. And it's dog friendly! read more

My wife and I had a work from home day and decided have some brews unbeknownst to our bosses was a fabulous idea on the beautiful 100 degree day in the Austin area. Lucky for us, we found The Good Lot; a dog friendly bar that offers a stroke for every folk. Basically, the beer selection is great. And a tip of my cap to them for actually taking care of their lines - you can taste the freshness in every pour. The space is amazing. A combined outdoor/indoor area that allows the best of two worlds, especially beneficial during the heat of summer. Our pup greatly appreciated the ability to go "inside" after hanging out on the lawn for a good minute. Interacting with three different bartenders, and they were all fantastic. Saw a couple notes on the service maybe not meeting some people's standards, my wife and I experienced nothing short of exceptional customer service. Honestly, I wish I found the Good Lot sooner, but am happy we've found it now. We will surely be back, and with greater numbers, in the future. This establishment is Profit over People. We visited on a 90 + degree evening in July and brought a water bottle that my child and baby were using and was told to put it in the car. We even dumped the water out in front of the manager and they still wouldn't allow us to fill our water bottle on site. They even had a problem with an empty water bottle in my diaper bag. Allowing sippy cups is subjective, they decide what a kids cup is. My kids drink a lot of water and I am not carrying around 5 small bottles on top of everything else. This place is not kid friendly. Just because you put out some play ground equipment does not make you kid friendly when you are putting the health of Moms, babies and kids at risk. Offering TINY water cups that you have to keep refilling on top of juggling all other parental duties like watching your kids and in my case breastfeeding is not a solution. Places that regurgitate policy just for the sake of policy without using common sense and assessing the situation are not customer focused. They mention it is TABC policy but it is not (See attached). He mentioned they had some cases where people snuck in alcohol, every adult at the table had a beer in front of them. Clearly we are not sneaking in alcohol when while speaking to the manager both my baby and kid drank from the water bottle. Not letting babies, kids and adults have adequate water supply in the Texas heat is INHUMANE. They are more concerned with their bottom line and are risking the health of the customers. They should be ashamed, especially when I read several other reviews of not letting pregnant women have a water bottle. We will never return and will also be spreading the word. I will be informing any influencers who include this place in their kid friendly list (which is how I found them). No other place in town has such an extreme water policy. Please visit places that treat customers and kids with care. We went to 5th Element Brewing and it was outstanding! read more

I came here with my sister and her family while visiting Austin and was a bit annoyed that they hadn't taken me here sooner since we usually hit up a beer garden or two each time I come into town. I really liked this place. The grounds are not as expansive as other beer gardens around town but there is a beautiful lawn with big shady trees, plenty of seating both outside and inside, a small playground for the kids, and ample space for multiple food trucks.
