Fun evening at the Lucky Rabbit! Great drinks, great food and a fun live band. The service is here is very friendly, just wish you didn't have to go to the bar every time you wanted something new. I don't mind ordering at first when you get there, just think delivery and extra refills or new drink orders would be nice handled at the table by ones that come pick up dirty dishes, just a thought. Overall fun place!

We visited the Lucky Rabbit while on vacation a few years ago. So we decided to visit again on our current trip to the Lake Travis area. We really enjoyed the food and drinks. They even offer a few nonalcoholic drinks. The evening we picked to visit they had live entertainment from James Tobias and awesome solo artist. This place is a must see for locals or people who wish they were locals. The service is outstanding just a few minutes for another round. The inside is decorated properly for the Lake vibe.

When we walked into the Lucky Rabbit, the place was full. It was Bingo night. My Lemon Hop drink was lemony and refreshing and hubby enjoyed his original frozen margarita. We had a grilled shrimp salad and a chicken Caesar salad and both were good. Sitting at the bar afforded us attention from all three of the bartenders - they certainly add to the friendliness of the place. The bathroom was large and clean but the sink is a red wagon outside the bathroom - a bit funky. Anyway, we loved this place and will be back next time we're in Jonestown!

Taylor took are order (no table service) lots of beers to try. Full bar. After you order they text you when your order is ready for pick up. Plenty of parking out front. Interesting place. Daughter and I had the Plain Jane burger comes with cheese tomato lettuce it's a 1/2 pound burger. We had curly fries and onion rings. Wife had a chicken salad she loved it. Yep fun place even at 4 in the afternoon. 5/5 give it a try.

We love the Rabbit especially when the weather is nice and we can hang on their spacious patio area. They offer a full bar with some great drink specials The Rabbit Rita and Skinny Wabbit cocktails are my favorite. Hubby likes his brown liquor and they have plenty of bourbons and ryes to choose from. What surprised us was their huge craft beer options. I swear they have over a dozen taps serving everything from Yuengling to Pint House Electric Jellyfish. You order you drinks and food at the bar. If you order food you will receive a text message when you pick up your goodies. Food? They got you covered with great Apps like fried pickles. Their burger Combos are awesome! The Border Burger is pretty spicy but oh so good. The Chicken Fried Chicken is lightly breaded and very moist. Watching you calories they have salad options too. They do have a good happy hour Mon - Fri 3-6 PM. Be sure to check out all the Texas themed music posters that adorn their walls. The Rabbit has a good sized inside bar area with tables and high tops. There is small upstairs area if you seek some privacy but there patio area is king here. There are plenty of places to sit and for the kiddos and dogs to run around. Be sure to check out the old school bus that they converted to a bar. There is a big screen TV outside (and some inside) to catch your game or to watch the musicians playing inside. On nit is that when they have full bands playing you need to be outside as it is excessively loud inside.

If you are lucky enough to be in the area looking for a place to have a few drinks and a fun time, make sure to stop in and give the Rabbit a try. It's a dog friendly bar and grill with a lively atmosphere that mirrors something right off 6th street, Austin. It's Just the kind of place to wind down a long week and to get away from the grind. Whether you are sitting outside enjoying the Texas sunshine or inside jamming to the live music, I'm sure you can find your groove here. Order at the bar and then pick up your order to the side when called, so don't expect to be waited on. Just the way I like it when I want to keep it casual. And for Pete's sake, make sure to chase the wings, burgers and onion rings down with your favorite drink.

Quick stop for a late lunch, got the buffalo wings and side caesar salad. Everything was good and service was quick. Seems like a great spot to grab drinks with friends

This is such a cool bar & restaurant! We went here to celebrate a birthday and they had lots to offer for everyone. The food was top notch. I got the Brisket Sammie and was blown away by the tenderness of the meat. The service was wonderful. The staff were kind and helpful, serving us with a smile on their faces. For those who love taking photos, they had plenty of cool spots to take pictures in front of. Overall, my friends and I really enjoyed our time here. We will definitely be coming back soon!

Oh Lucky Rabbit, I adore you! I came in a few weeks ago with Thing Two and my friend/relator. This spot is a local watering hole with live music and a patio with an old-school bar, plus burgers, fried chicken sandwiches, and beer. This joint serves up themed cocktails like the Bug's Old Fashioned; 24 Carrot Gold with vodka, triple sec, blood orange, lime, and bitters; the Bubble Bunny with gin, lavender, lemon, and prosecco; and frozen drinks like the Hot Hare, a spicy mango margarita with chamoy and Tajin. Lets get to it! Sloppy Beef Nachos For my friends who live outside the Lone Star state, it may not be well known that Queso is part of our major food group! Queso, meaning cheese in Spanish, typically refers to melted cheese dip appetizer. The dip, sometimes called chile con queso at restaurants, is a Mexican style dish made of melted cheese and chilis. These beef nachos are a bit cheesy, a little bit spicy, and a little bit sweet. This accredited mostly to the seasoned ground beef, refried black beans, American slices, pico (salty and tangy), pickled jalapeño (sweet and spicy) and green chili. As the name implies, these nachos must be eaten with a fork as they can't be scooped nor dipped because of the loaded toppings. Thing Two ordered this menu item and was pleased with the offering. Grilled Shrimp Salad One of my favorite salads to make and eat is shrimp salad (as evidenced by my many reviews around the states about the variations of this dish). The perfect shrimp can make the dish so tasty. Further this dish healthy, as it is actually quite satiating as it is high in protein and has plenty of fiber from all the vegetables and healthy fats in the avocado (I added this) and feta; this salad is a hearty one. The shrimp were grilled with the right amount of char which allowed the veggies to shine. Hot Chick Part of what makes Nashville-style hot chicken so unique (and why I absolutely love it) is that it's often brined in pickle juice. This infuses the chicken with a special kind of salty umami that makes it extra moist. Plus, the dill and garlic add an herbaceous pop that really brightens up the flavor. This dish also comes with Texas 'crack'! What that is, I am not sure but I will tell you, Yelp fam, that it keeps you coming back for more. This sandwich is not only hardy but filling. This place has some of the best bar food you will find around. Its not only representative of bar eats but also of Texas hospitality. This place is good for families, fur babies, and even those folks at your office you pretend to call friends! #supportlocal

Stopped in over memorial weekend. Such a cool spot to hang with friends or bring the family! Plenty of seating inside, where they frequently have live music, and a backyard style set up for their outdoor seating. It's an order at the counter vibe, with a bar both inside and outside. A large menu with tons of delicious options. Highly recommend!

Second time here and it was just as special as the first. I am not normally one to order a burger at a restaurant but the plain Jane is perfect and my friend agreed after she tried it. The lucky rabbit is such a cute bar/restaurant with their live music and backyard seating. Feels so homey and very Texas. The employees are all super nice and friendly and service is pretty quick even when it's busy. I love bringing people here and plan to continue doing so :)

Austin-What an awesome dive bar with an amazing vibe! We stopped in for a drink & and a swing on the giant wooden patio swings! The gals behind the bar were very helpful and super sweet! Definitely a place to hang out for an early evening. The place is huge and has great ambience outside as well as inside.

Such a great patio area! You could rent plastic axes to throw. They have other games and are dog friendly!! You order at the counter. Solid menu. We order the Hot Chick sandwich (came with curly fries), the pot roast and a kids burger meal. We got spicy margaritas and bloody marys. Pictured below are the fried peaches and peanut butter chocolate cake. It's a great spot in Jonestown!

I had the opportunity to hit Rocking J Piano Bar and what a night it was! Rocking J is easy to find off the 183 and parking is plentiful, unlike the horrendous parking adventure downtown. The joint is located in a corner unit off Whitestone Blvd and extremely inviting. Music starts a little later at night and if you want a table you need to reserve one. I arrived at 7pm for the 8pm show and there were a few patrons upon arrival. The joint is clean without that beer-stained floor smell and the bartenders are cool and fast slinging suds. Prices aren't bad and all the people that I met were extremely cool, many different ethnicities were hanging out, while the age group was 30+ so it's not the college crowd. The attire ranged from men in tshirts, flip flops, I saw some "typical cowboy hats" and women in shorts and dresses, up to business casual. It's basically a "come as you are" mentality in a very relaxed atmosphere. Please note while they don't serve food, they do allow outside grub, just bring some for everyone, Also the bathrooms are decent not spectacular however you won't need to run down the street. The non-reserved tables are limited and as the show time creeps closer, they start to fill up but there was standing room. The crowd that was there was a pretty lively crew and seemed like pretty decent people. In the corner is a piano and on my night a drum kit. I can't remember the pianist / singer's name but he was really good while the drummer acted as backup, basically enhancing the songs with a steady beat. The guy could flat out sing and I swear I couldn't stump him with my diverse requests. Among the songs were The Cure - Love Song, Alice in Chains - The Rooster, Jimmy Buffet - Margaritaville, Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here. Perhaps the jingle from Sesame Street would have stumped him, but I didn't consider it at the time. Overall, the place feels safe with "good folk" who all just want to have a good time. The staff is friendly and fast and the prices fair. I will definitely be back and hope to see you there!

Sitting along the marina with boats gently coming and going, The Lighthouse has all the ingredients for an afternoon you don't want to end. Unfortunately, our experience never quite found its sea legs. We arrived with a party of five and walked up to the host stand where several young employees greeted us... sort of. We let them know there were five of us. They nodded. That was it. No "What's your name?" No "We'll get you on the list." No "It'll be about a 30-minute wait." Just... nodding. As more guests started filing in behind us, I finally walked back up and asked if they needed our name or phone number. The group looked at one another like I'd asked them to solve a calculus equation. Eventually someone located a scrap of receipt paper and a marker to write our information down. I'm choosing to believe it was someone's first day because otherwise, it was a genuinely confusing start. The patio was bustling, but considering Texas had apparently opened the Gates of Hades that afternoon, our group requested indoor seating. A plus? There was only one table seated inside and they were just having drinks. We thought it would be a very short wait. About thirty minutes later, one of the hosts finally asked, "Would y'all be okay sitting inside?" Our entire table answered in unison: "YES." Once seated, things improved... at least initially. The dining room overlooking the marina is comfortable, with large windows that let the view do most of the decorating. The televisions were on without dominating the room, making it easy for our family to settle in and enjoy something we hadn't done in years--simply sit around one table together and catch up. Thankfully, we had plenty to talk about because the food took a while to arrive. My brother and I decided to split The Shipwreck, the restaurant's signature sandwich. On paper, it sounded incredible: fried chicken, fried cream cheese, ham, bacon, lettuce, tomato, homemade blueberry jam, and an order of their truffle fries. That's a sandwich that practically dares you not to order it. Unfortunately, reality didn't quite match the menu. The biggest disappointment was the "homemade blueberry jam." It wasn't jam. It tasted exactly like canned blueberry pie filling. That one ingredient completely threw off the sandwich for me. (thankfully, just in case, we had asked for it on the side) Beyond that, it was... fine. Not bad. Not memorable. Just an average fried chicken sandwich wearing a few extra accessories in hopes of becoming something special. For more than twenty dollars, I wanted something that made me think about it on the drive home. Instead, I mostly thought about how much potential it had. The truffle fries were another miss. They arrived barely warm and were cold before we made it halfway through the basket. The promised truffle flavor was faint, there were a few shavings of Parmesan, and instead of the garlic aioli listed on the menu, we were served plain mayonnaise. Meanwhile, our server proved elusive. After taking our order and delivering the food, she seemed to disappear entirely. When she finally resurfaced to greet the table beside us, we took the opportunity to ask for our check before she vanished again. To be fair, two members of our party ordered the chicken fried steak and both enjoyed it, so there were certainly bright spots on the menu. But as a whole, none of us walked away particularly impressed. It's disappointing because The Lighthouse has so much working in its favor. The location is wonderful. The view is exactly what you'd hope for on Lake Travis. The atmosphere invites you to slow down and stay awhile. Now it just needs food and service that rise to meet the setting. As for me? The Lighthouse didn't quite guide me safely to shore. Next time, I'll be looking for another place to dock in search of a better meal.
