We frequent Victory Tap since it's near my wife's work and it's a pleasant place to hang out. Service has always been solid. Everyone seems upbeat and eager to help, from sampling the beers to recommendations on the menu. This particular visit I was looking by for something different and ended getting the "wrapper". A comforting wrap with everything that chills you out and makes you not want to leave. I should have had this during a game as we didn't have time to hang a longer period of time. But it was delicious. Took half home due to its size lol. The beer selection is pretty good too, so if you are wanting a light beer (try the victory blonde that's in-house brewed) or try some of the variety of IPAs, it's there. There is outdoor seating with additional TVs as well. Definitely worth a visit if you are in downtown Pflugerville. read more

My mouth is still on the floor in shock from the portion sizes. My friend and I stopped in for a quick late-night bite. We almost ordered two different plates but ended up sharing an appetizer. Thank goodness we did. I was not expecting the mound of nachos that were brought to us. After chatting with the bartender, she explained that is how all of their dishes are - huge. Some of the worst food and service ever. After we sat the waitress brought us menus but didn't ask if we wanted water nor did she bring any water. When she returned I had to ask for our water and we ordered drinks. The beer was draft and the glass was hot and the beer was just cool. The burgers were awful. They were cold, and definitely frozen patties because they were not smashed burgers at all. To me the burgers were already cooked and just warmed up. The fries were half cooked and tiny pieces. You can taste the old grease that needed to be changed. The fries tasted as if they were warmed up leftovers that were just sitting on the side. After getting our food we still didn't have any utensils, napkins, condiments etc.... I had to ask for everything. This place isn't worth the money they charge for food. It appeared we were not welcome there, so we will not spend money there again. read more

A few of our friends that live in Pville have recommended Victory Tap on a few different occasions so we finally decided to check it out last night. We got there around 8:45, which is 15 minutes before the kitchen closes on Monday. The waiter let us know we needed to order food soon if we wanted it and so we did along with some beer. We got two pecan porters to drink and then my Fiance and I shared the burger and fries. There were plenty of burger options but we went with the one with fried pickles on it and it was delicious. We wanted to try and order the shepherds special fries (it was st paddys day) but they were out so we went with the regular fries instead. Both the burger and fries were really good. Our friends asked us to put in an order of pulled pork nachos and both they and our food arrived maybe 10 minutes after ordering, which seemed super quick. The nachos were huge and our friends seemed to really enjoy them. The manager came to check on us and was super friendly. He let us know that everything they serve is made in house except the ketchup which was both surprising and a bit refreshing. He told us about how hot the wings are and how many different peppers go into them so we'll definitely be back soon to check them out. What a hidden gem in Pflugerville! Surrounded by 3 other eateries. This had the best crowd and was playing Sunday football. Started out with the small queso and chips. It's a white not yellow queso. Very creamy! Service was exceptional! Our glasses were never empty. They made sure our burgers were cooked well and tasty. Which they were for sure I had the Hold My Beer burger. Cooked to perfection. Seasoned well and huge! Well worth it. The hand cut fresh French fries were great too! No skimping here. My partner had the Fire Island burger and fries. The spicy jam was the JAM! Very sweet and spicy. Just the right amount of heat. Another burger very large. They don't hold back here. We are so glad we used Yelp! to find this place. So it's been a while since I have been here. But this place was good. The only thing I have to say is it's a very simple place. Feels like a dive bar and restraunt mixed. The best thing on the menu that we tried was the nachos. Service was good. But the server was like. I have only been here for a few days. I'm not sure what is good. He really didn't give a good direction. They have a ton of t.vs though, so you can watch any game they have on. All in all, it's good. Not the five-star I usually post. Ive been going to Victory Tap since the day they opened. The food is always consistent and really good! Brunch on Saturdays and Sundays is always a treat! They have their regular brunch menu but Chef Tiff always goes above and beyond to create specials off the menu that are changing weekly. It's always great to find a good burger spot! My wife and I came to the restaurant for my birthday. It was a Monday evening, around 6 PM or so. It wasn't very busy at all when we got there, there were probably 3 other tables with people sitting when we arrived. Regarding the ambiance, it was somewhat dim with numerous TVs around us with different sports going on. Definitely a modern, classy, sports-bar feel. For food, I ordered the "Pfully Loaded" burger--minus the onion rings, it had bacon, sautéed mushrooms, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles and their special sauce. I had it with a side of fries. The burger was delicious, juicy and flavorful. The fries were crispy and came out fresh. As you can probably see on other reviews, it is the burger to order here. To drink I ordered the "Melted Snowcone" drink? I believe that's what it was called. I couldn't find the description online, but I would recommend it!! Tasted EXACTLY like a melted snow one, with alcohol of course. Fresh and delicious. My biggest critique of our dining experience that night was the fact that there was only one employee on the floor--she seemed to be the server and bartender while we were there and unfortunately the service lagged because of it. She was very sweet, but as it got busier she seemed to struggle a little bit in keeping up with other tables. We observed later tables looking around and waiting as we did when we first arrived. I come here regularly, because I enjoyed it but after a while I realized the hours here say midnight. They definitely should change them to 11. It's annoying to get an uber, plan to have a good time at my comfort bar already expecting to leave an hour before close. But today? We were told to leave 2 hours before close. The bartender turned off the "Open" light before telling us she was closing 30 mins later. OF COURSE, no one else is gonna come in if the signs off. So we left, came to Prost and guess what? It's PACKED. We were welcomed and didn't feel pressure to leave a hour later. I'm unfortunately probably gonna just have to switch up locations. Victory tap is unexpectedly one of my favorite brunch spots in Pflugerville. I have been here a few times for brunch and have admittedly not had dinner here yet. They have some really fun brunch options and I am yet to be disappointed. On the weekends they have specials and I cannot recommend more to try them. The specials are always so good. The service is great. I got a little confused with the online menu situation the first time but a server came over really quick and explained it was just drinks. I have had a few different servers here and they have all been kind and given us good and quick service. I like all of the different seating options in here as well as the patio! I am a big fan of this place! We went to the Red Rooster and saw this place and decided to dip on in! My friends got the Club and the other ordered a melt and they both were fans! Can only speak to brunch, but pretty sure we may continue to come here solely for brunch - menu items are very decent at very reasonable prices! In the three times we've been to The Victory Tap for brunch, we've had the Honey Butter My Biscuit, the Nap :30, the Bruh-ritto, the Benny, and the Build Your own Biscuit. Again, prices are so reasonable for the portion, and food is relatively tasty. Flavors are a little elevated from what you'd generally expect for the same dishes, and all have been satisfying. Not light nor healthy in any way, but you knew that before coming here :), things are hearty here. Location is great, right in the heart of Pflugerville, with a large outdoor patio. The inside is kept well from the building's original characters, with a wrap-around second floor that's only open later in the day. Ample TV screens for sports and a full bar. All drinks are ordered via a QR code at the tables, while food is ordered through the staff. If you live in town or driving through, stop by to check this place out! Well, I so wanted to have the five star experience that everyone else has been having here but that just didn't happen for me. I came to this location last month on the 16th with Thing Two and a guest. When we entered, we sat at a high-top and tried to scan the drink menu but the link for the menu wasn't working for us on anyones phone (both android and apple). We then waited for someone to bring us a physical drink menu which took about 15 minutes. Once we ordered the drinks, it was another 15 plus minutes for the server to come back with the drink to place a food order. What we ordered: Chicken Nachos The establishment was out of chips for the nachos (how this happens, I'm unsure), so instead we elected to have the nacho toppings on fries. The "nachos"were mediocre at best with a generic (not freshly made) guacamole. Fire Island (burger) This menu item, although requested without cheese, came with cheese. We tried to flag down a server about this issue and even went to the bar to exchange it (this was a 10 to 12-minute endeavor). The burger sat and got cold while Thing two and I ate our food (nachos and salad). This burger had to be returned as my guest couldn't tolerate cheese. Therefore, I can't in good faith say that this establishment has 'the goods' when it comes to burgers as my guest didn't get to eat at all because of the extended wait time. If ya'll find out, let me know. Buffalo Chicken Salad This salad was made with iceberg lettuce (more lettuce than anything else), buffalo chicken, bacon, tomatoes, and blue cheese. There was supposed to be ranch dressing served with this (but wait for it, there was no ranch). I asked for a ramekin of ranch and waited another 5 plus minutes for it to arrive. The salad was okay but then again it was mostly lettuce. Bar Top Browine Now, this was the only thing ordered that was correct and by far the best item as it was a great combination of sweet and salty. Overall, my visit can be summed up as saying 'the service was slow and the food was a miss on all menu items'. read more
