Repeat offenders, because we were in Pflugerville! This time we were there at lunch time, and wouldn't ya know they have a lunch special. A great one at that! Burger, fries and a beer for $10, done! If this place were closer I would definitely visit more often. As it is I keep it as a special treat when I'm in this neck of the woods. The staff is super friendly. Food is good. Affordable. Clean bathrooms. All the good stuff.

Pflugerville isn't thaaaaaaat far from Austin! It's worth stopping in when you're in the area. This place has a Germany meets Tx car racing feel. The beertender knew his product and was happy to take his time helping us decide. The beers were all pretty good; my favorite was the IPA- fruity, medium bodied, light enough to be refreshing in the heat of the day. Food (standard tacos and burgers, but it was a darn good burger) is available out back. The downside: it is not ADA friendly. You can't get to the bar without using the stairs.

No food truck but Victory next door has good food and you can bring it in. Bar service was fast and friendly. The seating is comfortable and the bathrooms are clean. I had an IPA and it was very tasty.

    An accessible elevator? Neat!

I went here for a party. Overall, the experience was good. The building looked really cool, too. I should probably mention that I'm sober (because I'm 14 years old) so I didn't actually try their drinks. It looked like there was a lot of options, though! A few areas seemed a little messy...but overall pretty cool!

Went to Prost last night for the first time and it didn't disappoint. It's a cozy environment, clean and beautifully designed and decorated. The employees were friendly and helpful- willing to allow people to sample their beers and give recommendations. They also have ciders and wine too so if you're not a beer fan, they have other options. We ordered from the food truck that is situated out back- you can scan QR codes on the menus in the taproom or walk down to order. Food came out pretty quickly and it was different and delicious. Husband devoured the hot dog with queso in a pretzel bun. I shared the chicken street tacos (full of flavor and each one was packed with chicken) and the loaded fries with hamburger meat with my sister. It was plenty to share and the fries tasted like a Big Mac- definitely different and unique so two thumbs up for that! They give 15% military discount at the taproom and it seems like they have different events and activities each night of the week. Do yourself a favor and head to P'ville to check them out!

Fun new brewery in the downtown Pflugerville. The bar is mainly upstairs since the brewery vats are down stairs. There are lots of beer options along with some cider, wine and cocktails. According to my husband, the beer is good and my Paloma hard seltzer was good. There are large TVs with sports and trivia running on the smaller ones. The brewery doesn't serve their own food but there is a food truck in the back that provides food. Service was fast and helpful. This is a great addition to the downtown options. Support local and enjoy!

Tonight's service with their soft opening for PCDC - Pflugerville Community Development Corporation was a success. It was an awesome experience to learn about the owners and their brewery. We definitely received the VIP tour of the actual brewery. I was fortunate enough to come as a plus one with my wife who works for the PCDC. The ambiance of this place is awesome and beautiful. There is plenty of seating inside and soon to be outside as well. It is a historic building so this place has a lot of history. The owners went into detail about how old the building is and what it is used to be back in the 1800s. During the tour of their brewery they went explain how their beer was made and the amount of time it takes to make the perfect brew. I was honestly intrigued about the process. I never knew the process was that complicated. When you walk into the building you will see their brewery to the left and their pub is up the stairs to the right. They will have their own brew on taps and will have a lot more of other brews to offer besides their own. But I was really impressed with their own brew they gave us. Their Cherry Sour was a bit tarty at first (not for me though), but after a few sips you enjoy the flavor. It was very smooth in my opinion. Their hefeweizen brew is not your average hefeweizen, but it was really good and tasty. Their German-style Pilsner was very smooth and delicious. They have a huge deck and patio in the rear of the building. The double steel rear doors are a bit heavy to open. I can see a lot of folks who might not like that. But you get used to them as you walk in and out of the deck/patio area. They also have an elevator available for folks who cannot walk a lot of stairs. The layout of the facility was pretty well thought out for what they could do for a historic building. They definitely kept a lot of the original look with a very beautiful modern touch. There are plenty of TVs all around the building so I can see potential of this place showing all the games throughout the sports season. The staff and the owners are awesome, very friendly, and communicate well with their customers. One of the bar tenders explained that's one thing he loved about the place. It was going to allow him to communicate with customers more compared to other places he has worked as a bar tender. The owners did say they are going to offer a food truck service as well in the future. I just very happy to see Pflugerville growing with a locally owned brewery. It's something the downtown has been needing for quite sometime to spruce things up a bit.

Great beer! I had the nitro stout. It was very good. We came on a Saturday afternoon and it was very low key. Great place to meet up with friends, have a beer, and have a good conversation.

Ok.... This spot finally opened and I am damn glad I came . The staff is super friendly and welcoming. We haven't tried the food yet but I will pie a review once I try it! They offer games, snacks and yummy brews!

Germany is Calling (Kolsch) on the left with the Niederwald (Doppelbock) on the right.

Dropped in to kill some time and grab a bite to eat... and left super impressed yet again! The vibe here is perfectly laid-back....chill atmosphere, no pretension, just a spot to relax with great drinks and food. Shoutout to the beer master Eric behind the bar! He's incredibly knowledgeable and clearly passionate about what he pours. He shared this awesome line that stuck with me: "Every good beer has a story, and the story should be told!" Made the whole experience feel more personal. I went with tap #13, Juicy Fish--a hazy IPA from WeldWerks Brewing Co. at 8.6% ABV. Wow, what a juicy, flavorful beast! Packed with tropical hops, smooth, and dangerously easy to drink for that ABV. Definitely hit the spot. For food, I had 5 wings tossed in the Blazin Ghost Pepper sauce. It's described as a smoky blend with mild ghost pepper heat, and it delivered exactly that....great smokiness upfront, building warmth without incinerating your mouth (perfect if you like heat but not torture level). Wings were crispy, juicy, and tender too. Rounded it out with the Carnivore pizza, loaded with meats and just the right amount of char on the crust. Hand stretched and fresh, it paired really well with the beer. If you're in the Pflugerville area and love craft beer (especially with knowledgeable staff who actually talk about it), wings, or pizza, this place is a winner. Will definitely be back again and again to catch more of the rotating taps and hear more stories from Eric! Get em while you can. They are Beer today gone tomorrow.

Any beer connoisseur will understand the technique the demands and the workmanship that goes into creating draft beer and what I really love is I fell in love with the Hill country kolsch, it's a blend of a light beer so I prefer light beers like ultra or Miller so to me it taste like a more full flavored Miller light and what I really appreciate is that it's not like a heavy IPA so it allows me to free up space in my stomach so I can go for the killer pizza. Hands-down, one of the best cheese, breads, high-quality cheese crispy, crunchy cheese bread with what I really love are those crispy crunchy edges that are on the crust it's addictive. And then you're able to dip each cheese bread into that jalapeño ranch or that creamy queso. I'm telling you this right now their house made jalapeño ranch is like crack. They should bottle it and sell it if they decided to bottle it I would buy a bottle should I say I think it's better than Wingstop? Go try the pizzas as you can see. I ordered the works pizza we can see all the beautiful cuts of meats. All fresh meats, all beautifully individually, sliced fresh crunchy crust with melted cheese. Just a great bite. If you're a carnivore this is your pizza. I wanted to jazz things up and go for the honey bear pizza and I requested that they add white sauce as the base and then drizzle on top of the olive oil. I'm happy they made that pizza for me because you can taste the white sauce mixed with the olive oil and the nice salty shavings of prosciutto.

The poppyseed dressing was just okay, but the salad itself was so good I'd absolutely order it again without hesitation. * Caesar Salad: My granddaughter liked it overall, but said there was way too much shaved Parmesan. Not a deal-breaker, just a heavy hand. Now, the pizza I ordered a 10" personal pizza with pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, red onions, and arugula. The pizza itself? Really good. The arugula, though... listen. It was everywhere. Overkill. I ended up taking most of it off and tossing it onto my spinach salad -- problem solved, no waste, still delicious. My granddaughter went classic with a cheese pizza, and she loved it. Said it's one of her favorites, and she's been here before -- which says a lot coming from a young person who does not hand out compliments lightly. What really sealed it for me: * The servers were amazing -- friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind * The place was very clean * The vibe was relaxed and welcoming, perfect for an easy lunch and good conversation Overall? Great food, great service, great time with my granddaughter -- and that's the kind of lunch that sticks with you. I'd definitely go back. And yes, I'd order that spinach salad again... arugula optional.

Service: 4/5 Had no issues, just ordered at the counter and voi la! Friendly person took our order & the only complaint is there were no cups outside for water - think it's just busy and this happens! Food & Beer 4/5: I had the magic carpet sour and it was very good, although I will say it isn't as sour as a typical sour would be. Nice drink overall and I think someone who isn't a sour fan may still enjoy it - it gives more cider honestly. My friend and I split the veggie quesadillas and the chips and salsa. The veggie quesadilla was good, the mushrooms they put in it were fab - I wouldn't say it's exceptional for the price but it was good. The chips and salsa were also good, but the salsa was a much thicker green and cilantro based something - I wouldn't exactly call it salsa, but it was good, just a bit misleading. I think they should add a descriptor on the menu, salsa usually means red unless otherwise noted imop.

I may visit Obsidian Brewery time after time after time after time and never find out how their beer is. This is because a) They have an outstanding bar and b) They have an outstanding kitchen. For me, beer is a hardship beverage you drink when there is nothing else better available. When I go to a bar, I can sometimes be looking for mix-mastering. Usually I am looking for outstanding top of the line hard spirits. * * * When I walked into Obsidian, I looked at their bar. It was love at first sight. In front of me were twenty yards of three shelves of the most wonderful bottles I could possibly imagine. Half of them I had never heard of before. * * * I settled on a Buddha's Hand Gin. Buddha and Gin rarely appear in the same sentence Never mind the same label on a bottle. I ordered it straight up. I went immediately to Nirvana. Forget the meditation and the austerities. The Buddha's Hand Gin was as good as a trip to the Himalayas. Buddha's Hand is an obscure citrus fruit that grows multiple protuberances the way some horseradishes do. It is golden and looks like a hand. Ergo the name. The Buddha's Hand Gin is a citrus tinged gin with an edge more like orange zest than like orange juice. The additional botanicals make it strong, attention grabbing, fruity and yet combative. I was absolutely fascinated. Note that Buddha's Hand Gin is only one of the many items they have to explore there. I am totally ready to do more exploring. * * * The kitchen at Obsidian is also of distinction. The savvy local guide I came with adored his Thai Curry Wood Fired Rings. I went with a Cheesy Bread. This is open-faced grilled cheese on a thick slice of bread the size of a shoebox, with a wonderful homemade tomato sauce on about 1/3 of it. It is the best cheese pizza you have ever had. It is what cheese pizza is supposed to be if you don't use the standard canned ingredients that institutional providers sell to Domino's. I was as in love with my cheese bread as I was with my citrus gin. * * * The company was also outstanding. Which is just as well because Obsidian is a social place. Lots of Leanderthals having a fine time in couples and groups. This is not a loner's loser bar. You know - the dark rooms with misfits drinking their sixth beer while watching TV. This is a good folks good times full-of-sunlight place. So you definitely want to come with good folks. * * * Good food, good bottles, good people. And if you are feeling chipper, You can even have a homemade beer to celebrate.
