I have visited this 54th St. Restaurant several times and one of the things that stands out is that all of the servers are very attentive, friendly and helpful. I also like the layout of this 54th St. because the dining space is spread out and separate from the bar area but there is a lot of bar space as well depending on what you are looking for. This is a newer restaurant so the design and decore is more of a modern elegant look. I like the fact that you can order off of the happy hour menu in the bar or dining area and they have a lot to offer on their happy hour menu, including drinks and appetizers. At the time I visited, they offered a separate menu that allows you to pair up with another diner at your table to order a combination of select meals, appetizers, drinks, and desserts for a really good combination price. We chose a combination that gave us each an alcoholic beverage, a shared appetizer, and two entrées. We shared the gringo dip and chips and for my entrée I had the chicken bucatini. It was a delicious blackened chicken and pasta in an alfredo sauce and it was delicious. My daughter had a soup and sandwich combo. That was a very generous portion for the price point as well. I've been here a few times, and each visit has been consistently good -- the food is always just as expected. We came in on a Saturday afternoon with a group of three and had no wait at all, which was a nice bonus. I'd say this place is a step above your typical neighborhood Applebee's or Chili's, so it's a little pricier than those spots -- but you can taste the difference. For an appetizer, we ordered the chips with Gringo Dip, which is one of my favorites. It's often busy with a short wait, though on most visits we've lucked out and have been seated right away. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible with large, open pathways, which I really appreciate. The waitstaff is usually friendly and timely, and the food typically comes out hot and tasty. On our last visit, we started with the Gringo Dip with salsa and tortilla chips. I ordered the calamari appetizer as my meal. It's battered and fried with grated parmesan and cherry peppers, and it was pretty good. My husband had the California Bleu chicken salad with grilled chicken, and he really enjoyed it. It's a pretty spacious place with a few turns here and there, plus a large, shady patio. But I will tell you that there are multiple televisions. I think that is really nice because the customers can watch several different games at once. Now, I ordered the Pacific Fish Taco Platter, grilled with rice and refried beans. A bunch of surprises soon follow. The dish came to the table hot. I mean, the tacos, the rice, and refried beans came out hot, not like warm but hot and ready to eat. Prime rib dip was fantastic although just a tad too salty but nonetheless it melted in my mouth. I'm sad we ordered this food from door dash I could only imagine how much better it would had been to eat it there right out of the kitchen. At first glance I was disappointed from the big take away box and tiny sandwich. Yes it was half sandwich and salad combo so what should have I expected right? Tuesday "date night" as the wife just flew back to town. Navigation routed us down the 71-45, right past 54th Street restaurant (54). The place was fairly busy, but still we were seated right away. Yet it took about 5-7 mins before we were cheerfully greeted by our server (Ava-Joy). We split a Cuban Sandwich, with sweet potato fries and a classic salad. This was more than enough for the two of us. The portions were ample and a great value for the price. Tender turkey and pork on a Ciabatta roll. The salad was a large bowl of fresh greens, egg, and assorted veggies. The only issue I had was there seemed to be a delay on anything we asked for. Extra plate, sweetener, Lemon wedges, just took long enough to affect my experience. I really like the menu at 54th Street restaurant. They have a happy hour from 3-6pm, & 7-9pm., with some really great deals on shareable meals and drinks. We love this as we get to sample a variety of items, without spending $100 for a meal for two. A friend and I had lunch at the Pflugerville location of this chain restaurant on a recent Tuesday. The restaurant is in its own building in a shopping center area. We arrived shortly before noon, but the parking lot was fairly full, with lots of pickup trucks parked facing out... which struck me as a bit odd. We were seated immediately in the only remaining booth. Service was excellent, both courteous and timely. The menu is large and laminated in plastic, with many selections. At lunch (11 am-3 pm), there is a variety of very reasonably priced ($11) options. My friend had been to this restaurant several times previously and said everything was excellent. We both ordered the "chicken avocado grille," a sandwich that includes seasoned fries. We opted to have it served without the bun. The meal was nicely plated, and I loved the generous chunks of avocado atop (vs being spread for a sandwich). The chicken was beautifully grilled, and the bacon amazing. The tomatoes were mushy and should have been omitted, but I forgive this because everything else was so good. The fries were crispy and tasty, but a bit salty for me. In summary, we enjoyed a great meal at an excellent price in a very pleasant atmosphere. However, recently one of those things has fallen off, the food is now terrible. I think they might have changed providers, but the food no longer meets the quality of what they used to serve. We usually sit at the bar and watch sports, and we love the surroundings, but we had others with us, so we sat at a table tonight. I always love my routine sandwich, but I branched out tonight and went for the Thai noodle salad with an added filet. Unfortunately, I was really disappointed. I ordered the steak med rare, and as you can see, it came out very well done. The "Thai noodles?" It was bucatini, and I even had a rogue rigatoni in my salad. It does not really affect me, but I know a lot of folks get Thai noodles because they are gluten free, bucatini is not; that could have messed up someone physically if they thought they were getting gluten free noodles. Plus the bucatini just does not taste the same as true Thai noodles. The positives? A manager stopped by, even though we did not ask for one, and when I explained my disappointment, they not only fired another filet for me (perfectly cooked), he took the meal off our bill. I was so impressed with the customer service! SO impressed. Our server tonight was very good and the rest of the table enjoyed their food. Outside of the bucatini and the over-cooked steak, the flavors of the salad were really good. If they do use Thai noodles in the future, I'll try it again. We were there two nights ago 6-4-25 to watch the lady horns play and had the worst service ever from Brooklyn at the bar. Even the people who sat next to us were complaining about her attitude when we sat down. I hope she learns a skill other than customer service and waitressing cause she lacks in those areas severely. She rang in my order wrong and when I noticed it after trying one of the wings (the sauce was wrong) she begins to tell me "you ate one you can't send them back." First of all I didn't know it was wrong until I ate one and second of all since when is that a rule Ms. I have no manners. This review is not a reflection of Elise or Liz. My husband and I have always talked about going to try 54th St. since it first opened in Pflugerville, but just did so this past weekend. We were optimistic when we first walked in. It's all the big TVs and the high top dining tables. Our waiter immediately brought us a chilled bottle of water, unfortunately, the water tasted like dirty pipe water, you would think they could at least provide filtered water. The surface was good, and our food arrived within a fair amount of time. My husband said that his Smashburger was good, neither one of us liked the breading on the onion rings, and the salmon was overly salted to the point that I could not eat it.
